HBO aired a new promo for Season 4 – it is safe to watch – no spoilers – but there are some very sexy people!
HBO is calling the promo “Screen Test”.

I’m pretty sure they are making Bill look old on purpose, just like they did in Season 2. I really wish they wouldn’t go to these lengths to make Bill unappetizing though, we don’t need that to see that Eric is the most handsome of all. And after all, Bill made the bed he’s to lie in.

Its good to see the gang, but I just love Bill always first and foremost! His beautiful face, as portrayed by gorgeous Stephen here, is such a range of emotions. Grief, regret, sadness, longing and then maybe looking to the heavens for a little bit of hope.
Stephens face has so much character, he is so incredibly sexy and his Bill is perfection.
The trailer is true to the leads. Sookie and Bill first and then again bringing up the last.

Everymale on this show is very good looking. Jason, Laf, Bill, Sam, Alcide, and of course Eric! There’s some kind of regal quality on his appearance that makes him stand out among the rest.
5 caps of Eric and only one of Bill? Ladies! You can do better than that! What about the one of Bill looking up in despair! Bill’s is the only pic that has character out of all of those pics (other than Laf -Don’t you just love his sas?.) There is enough pretty boy Eric pics around the net. Give Bill a fair go, please. I pressed comment before I could finish. What I mean is that it is an Ensemble Show and this article can be seen as an Eric Show. They all deserve equality. I know this site had in the past a lot of Bill stuff, but things have changed and that is no longer the case, I think, so make it more neutral.
You know how we all like to fight over our favourite character, so it is better to stop it in the bud and not incite animosity.

Not only does it take away from the wonderful promo we all got to see supplied to us by The Nest, it’s also getting old.
Leif, it doesn’t matter that Eric had more milliseconds of screen time than everyone, what Liz and Brun are just saying that the photos need to be equal, all I see is one photo of Bill and that is the one from the end, they did show another shot in the beginning which could equal about two photos max yet Eric and Alcide are all over the place that if a newbie got in here might think the show is about those two men or mostly Eric. I loved this promo and everyone just looked great making me wait for S4 even more but the news here mostly deals with Eric or anything remotely to Alex, if the writers are Eric fans that’s fine but all that is asked is solely equal treatment for not only Stephen but for all the cast members.

Hello everyone – I certainly didn’t mean to upset anyone by putting more pictures of Eric than anyone else. (But you have to agree there were more shots of Eric in the video than anyone else.) I originally just did screen caps for my own pleasure, but when I thought about how this would be great for the site sI did it for everyone else. I just included all of my pictures I had when I made the gallery. I will be happy to put up more pictures – but unfortunately it will not be until after my work day (tonight). It was not inteneded to slight anyone. True, I am Team Eric but I certainly love everyone on the show and think they are all stars!
It was pretty obvious what team you are on Jody, which is sad for a supposed neutral news site, but even other news sites had long ago become more enlightened and dropped the whole team thing. You would do well here to do the same.
As to your cap choices it would be wise to keep your own persaonal caps and order for yourself. Doing a news article means keeping to the facts and you did not do justice to the entire cast. AS had no more screen time than any other of the main cast in this promo.
Most importantly what you also fail to do is give Anna top billing in the caps which she is due being that Sookie is the main character as well as the other half of the main lead.
You disrespect Anna greatly by not having her screen caps first. I would think that as a writer here you would know that Anna has visited this site before.
As to Stephen, his caps should have been next, after Anna as was shown in the promo. That only seems right considering Alan chose Stephen and Anna to lead the show.
I enjoy the nest and the news presented here. It is my hope that it stays neutral and respectful in the future.

I don’t think Jody has to make any apologies about being an Eric fan. As I’ve said time and time again, this site has several mods who each have their own interests and perversions. This was Jody’s post. She was the first to bring this promo, and I thank her for it. She initially made the caps just for herself, but then at our request we asked her to add them to the post. I don’t think having more caps of one dude over another says anything about the site, moreover, now people are bitching about the order of the caps? Really?
I guess we could have avoided all this bickering simply by telling Jody not to include the caps at all? Or maybe we should tell her to delete some. Oh, and don’t forget, she’ll have to reorder them as well. Do you not see how goofy it is to be complaining about this?

I am sorry, but I have to say this is a petty complaint. I think you all do a good job in covering all the actors from True Blood. To complain because ONE time there are more pictures of Eric than Bill, well someone has forgotten about all the articles and pictures of Bill on this site. Not too long ago there was multiple pictures of Bill from a magazine shoot. I didn’t see anyone complain about that. Maybe that is what I will do the next time. NO, I won’t but just saying…petty.

I went over to The Nest FB and look there! So far as the eye reaches only just Eric and little Joe and nowhere Stephen/ Bill! Nowhere! Therefore, as Admin, it is your task that there are not two pictures of Alex and one of Joe in articel about all charakters . Otherwise – as it looks now, it is an AS site. But maybe it is and then it’s ok. But if you want to call a neutral TB side, it’s not OK.

As an admin of this site, I have to say it’s pretty bold of people to tell us how to run our own website. As I’ve said ad nauseum, this site is run by a group of people – each with our own preferences. Sometimes one of us has more time than others do to post, use FB, twit, etc. We are a True Blood site, however, some of us have personal favorites and some don’t. The fact that at this moment in time there are more Eric related pictures doesn’t mean anything to us. I see that it means quite a bit to some of you, but hey, that’s how this site rolls. I am sure the next time that there’s more Bill out there, a whole new group of people will comment in the opposite direction. Sadly, it’s the nature of the thing. There will never be an equal number of photos, pics etc. We just don’t have enough time to count things like this and I’m pretty sure Jody, who posted the caps, didn’t really think about anything but getting pretty pictures attached to the video once we asked her to do so.

If you are that upset about it, I can direct you to a site that has tons of screencaps from that ‘cast’ promo. I bet you won’t like it then either. I believe that site only caught two screencaps of Bill. I can tell you why and this might be a shocker, IT WENT BY SO FAST, the one where he looked to the heavens/rolled his eyes. It is not easy to do those screencaps so maybe people should just be grateful for what they do have caps of, instead of complaining about how little they did get. GEEZ, LOUISE!

I am worried too. By this time last year we had episode stills, minisodes, posters etc. Even the invitation to the set was longer. This year they don’t seem to care. This promo sucks. Yeah, look at all the pretty people on our show, but it tells us nothing! And the waiting sucks promo is discontinued, What about Sookie, you know the main character of your show??!
I feel that either HBO is too confidant in it’s established fanbase that it’s not into advertising the show that much or it is spending more time on the babies GOT and BE and does not care about TB that much. Casual viewers are not coming back until they start advertising in earnest.

I think everyone has a right to voice their opinions. Just like I’ve heard MANY Eric fans complain on this site, but I’m sure they didn’t consider that “petty”. Also, I think other actors had more screen caps not just Alex/Eric. Just saying
Well this poster is an Eric fan, so it makes sense that there are more Eric screencaps than say Pam or Sam. Just like the mod picked out and talked about Bill specifically when she was talking about the “Dead Reckoning” reviews and CH interview a few days back because she was a Bill fan. It depends on who the mod likes I guess. Pretty easy to see that. If this was a Sam fan making the post I guess there would be more Sam screencaps.
What I meant was that Bill did not have a lot of screen time on that promo to make that many screen caps. If someone had complained about the lack of Sam, Pam and Laffy I can understand. Especially Pam. That girl was fierce! But Bill was hardly in it. Makes no sense crying for equal time.

The whole point of Bill is that he is to be played very still and quiet (Stephen has mentioned this in an interview very long ago), that is why you do not see as much movement. Just think how hard that is to play considering how wonderfully full of life and vitality Stephen is. What a great actor and deserving of respect as are all of them.
This has seemed to be a very neutral site, bringing us news about everything to do with True Blood as well as the actors who play it. If there seem to be more articles about Stephen that is because he is involved in so many things, especially charity work. And of course he is the lead actor on the show next to his lovely wife Anna.
I love all the new screen caps. When it comes to an article about the entire cast it only seems fair, dont you think?

The Nest is one of the most neutral sites that I frequent, and trust me, I visit a lot of them daily. Proof of that is that the mods allow the participation of those that like other characters besides Bill (and I know that the main admins like Bill so much). I hardly comment, but this vicious attack against the girls who run it makes me sick. People should be more tolerant and enjoy life a little more. These people do this website for free (I think) and we should be all able enjoy this as the TV show it is. Why some of you need to make this some pissing contest and territorial war I’ll never know.
I’ve seen some of the things that are being said on BWW today and am quite shocked as I thought these sites “played well together”.
I have to disagree because I don’t see any one “viciously attacking” anyone. Like I said in my previous post, I’ve seen many eric fans complain on this site, would you consider that a “vicious attack”. Everyone (except for one poster) has been civil and EVERYONE has a right to state their opinions.
All I can say is that clearly we’re getting closer to the premiere and everyone’s on edge. As a Team Bill fan and a BWW lady I love this site and I thank them for all their hard work. I try to stay away from the comments, clearly not all that successfully, because it always turns into a “who’s a better boyfriend” or “who’s the bigger liar” and it’s tedious to me. I’m just gonna press play on that nice little clip up top and then press pause when that stud of a man known as Steve Moyer shows up on my screen.

It’s quite fascinating how quickly some of the fans change on a dime as soon as they see one thing that they don’t like. It’s been very illuminating watching the comments over there. We thought we were on good terms with that board as well.

Anyway, this whole ‘the stars of the show’ and the ‘two leads’ business is getting old. Do you all know how you sound? JUVENILE is how. Talking about the order in which the cast is credited as if that means a whole hell of a lot. You know what it means, A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING! Why, because the whole cast is important otherwise there would be no show. The show does not run on the characters of Sookie and Bill alone. In my opinion and in mine only, most likely, this whole story is mainly about Sookie and EVERYTHING and EVERYONE that surrounds her.

I agree but this is not what is happening! They are being dumped on because there are more screen shots of Eric than anyone else. You were complaining that this was not acting like a neutral site either, if you go back and read their posts. You were also complaining at the BWW!

I love keeping up with the activities of ALL the TB cast members through this site. I think the thing that annoyed me, albeit in a minor way, was that the promo was for the show, not one character. The post was weighted toward one character, and with the touchiness of Team This and Team That, perhaps it wasn’t the best idea. However, that sort of thing does increase the number of responses– and maybe that’s the main goal?

Hey everyone – just wanted to reply to a couple of things. This post was not intended to be a post about Eric. It was a one-minute promo of the show. I needed one photo to post and I chose Eric because A) he had the most screen time in the video and B) he looks really good in it.
Also – if you move your mouse over the pictures you will see how each picture was named. I said before I did the Eric pictures for myself and named them differently. You will see that the gallery automatically put the pictures in alphabetical order that I named them, and I used their show names rather than real names.
Please note this site is for True Blood News. We try to give everyone from the show their time in the spotlight when they have news to report. There will be a lot of Alex this year since he’s got a couple mazine covers coming out and 2 new movies in the fall (plus the show). It is not because I love Alex/Eric, but because he will be in the news and therefore something to report. We do the same for all our stars.
I think we’re all a bit antsy for the new season to start. I sure am!
Jody…. you don’t need to explain yourself to some petty people who are so hung up over a few screen caps. If those people complaining listen/read interviews of AB, they should know that this season IS Eric’s season. The show follows the books for the most part, and this is how the books run. So promo’s will center around what is to come, that is the reason for them.
The whole cast looks great, and even though i am totally team Eric (with a healthy dose of Pam) i will watch AB adventures with Bill. But seriously, Bill’s had 3 years, its time to give others a go

I can understand why some Bill fans may be temporary pissed by not finding as many caps of Bill as the rest of the cast. I can understand that someone stops by and tell us “Hey , did you forget Bill?” But to attack this place, by saying that we became Eric centric, or whatever other bias you accuse us of, is ridiculous. (Yeah we are also accused of being Bill centric too, so umh, well I guess that’s life.)
I have read many comments on Eric boards saying that we are not neutral because we didn’t publish enough news of Alex/Eric.
Now I read that we don’t publish enough news about Bill/Stephen.

Whatever the case, she hasn’t committed any crime that I know of.

I spent countless nights programming it and designing it. When we departed with the gals who run the BWW board, we shared the sites so everybody could run their own thing. So don’t come here to tell me that my site is Pro Eric or Anti Bill or whatever you want to say. I love Bill but I admire EVERY cast member and we have done nothing but promote them anytime that we can.

With all the inflammatory remarks I read through on this site, I wonder why I’m so special that I get a warning. Was it because I find all this humorous or because I agreed with one of YOUR moderators & several other posters that Eric had more screen time – so if they want someone to blame, it should be TB, not Jody?
Or was it that I told the ones making the complaints to just keep telling themselves “Bill is the star of the show” – something they tell the Eric fans on here ad nauseum?

I was telling a friend who watches the show about this ‘screen cap’ drama and my friend said “What, the show is now against Bill too, they made the video”?! Needless to say I laughed my ass off. When I watched the video, it seemed he was in it less than anybody and that made no sense but nothing to get this upset over, especially in this post. I say take it up with HBO!

Oh give me a break, this is NOT about neutrality and NOBODY is even buying it for one second. When episode reviews were pro-Bill, we’re you crying out for neutrality? If there would’ve been more Bill screen caps than Eric, would you come on here complaining “hey there are more Bill SC’s than Eric, I thought this site was neutral” NO! Of course you would not be complaining about it. It’s not about neutrality but more Bill/SM. I think this site has showed plenty of SM/Bill love, so one post with more Eric pics does not take away from anything. This site has been known for having more Bill fans, so maybe throwing in 1 or 2 extra Eric pics actually helps with being neutral, evens things out a little don’t ya think ;-) Fans coming on here complaining about the extra few pics of Eric is exactly what does NOT make it neutral. The reason why is because we all know if it was Bill having more pics, you would not complain and the fact that you make an issue out of a few extra Eric shots, something so petty is showing how some fans don’t care for both characters to get their chance in the spotlight. It’s either SM/Bill always getting the most coverage or nothing. I also find it funny how people scream out for neutrality but have no problem bashing the characters and it’s fans. So let’s not attack someone who is taking their time out to give TB fans the most up to date news.
It’s a few extra pics, how petty to attack others for something so insignificant. Ever heard of don’t sweat the small stuff, is this really something to get so worked up about? People are already fighting over promo’s, what’s gonna happen when the season starts lol.

Roswellover-There have been plenty of times where Bill got more attention, I never complained. If I want more SC’s I make them myself.
I’m also sure that when you see Eric fans complaining, you think of their behavior as rabid since this word is always thrown around. But if people find someone elses behavior as rabid, then why repeat it? You are just coming across exactly as they are, now you are no different. You don’t repeat the behavior of others that you don’t like, you try to be different. You’re doing the same exact things as those you complain about.

I guess I missed out on all of this! When I saw the clip I thought it was awesome and I loved Bill’s facial expressions. It is like he was sad and mourning, but then he had fire in his eyes. His gaze just makes my panties want to catch on fire LMAO. It was HOT! I thought all the other stars looked awesome too. I won’t be bitching at all. I just love TB and love Bill/Stephen and can’t wait for S4. Thanks for the clip Jody!!! (oh PS. I think Bill’s hair is gonna have to grow on me but I still love him…I have bad hair days too!!)

Not sure what the big deal with being the lead is about. I have never liked a character just because he was a lead and I never disliked a character because he wasn’t. There is often a character in things I watch that are not the lead, but yet something draws me to that character. I like interesting characters and for me in TB it is Eric, Pam and Lafayette. I also find Andy interesting to watch. It never even occurs to me to even think about where their name is in the cast. What I care about is how they perform and their performances are spot on.

Wow! People are still talking about this(I was over this) but I see the non-Bill fans are bitching as well.
Also, I think EVERYONE should just give it a rest. I believe people have to right to state they’re opinion, but sometimes people needs to give it a rest and this time is it. I’ve seen eric fans complain that about this not being a neutral site and vice versa……….and we all need to give it a rest. There’s more important things out there.

I am an Eric lover and if there were less of Eric in the video, I would expect there to be less screen caps. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that you can get more of something that is just not there. If Eric were in the promo less, just like Bill and Jessica, then I have no business complaining. There are four screen shots now of Bill and three look the same because of how fast it went by. I agree there are more important issues out there, and this one is really really petty considering.

Bill was not in the promo less tblover, he had just as much time as Eric. But as I replied to another poster, Bill is played to be more still and contemplative, so not much movement, and that is what Stephen did, and wonderfully I might add. Plus Bill laughing and jumping up for joy would not make sense after the end of last season, right? But still Bill fans would like to see as much of him as possible just as Eric fans want to see as much as possible of Eric.
Stephen had mentioned in a previous interview with Regis and Kelly that he wanted to play Bill that way, very still. I think it is marvelous and must be so hard to do because Stephen is usually so boisterous and happy, laughing and making others smile, all the time.
How can anyone not love him? He really is such a great guy!
So really the original screen caps that were posted here were done by the perspective of an Eric fan. Had the circumstances been different and it had been the other way around it would be Eric fans complaining. Right?

As to the neutrality of this site. The one time I dared post, I didn’t mention the “E” word or even the “V” word, but was commenting on something Bill had done on the show. Immediately I was attacked by Citizen Erased (who at the time was an admin or mod, correct? She sure posted and reviewed on here quite a bit), and accused of being an Eric lover. No, mention of him in my post. I decided I would come by for headlines only and try desperately to stay away from comments.
Also in reference to neutrality, I’d like to point out that under a year ago, that little box there on the right for the Battle of the Fang? Well it had a running feed that at times would say “The Viking is gaining, help us vanquish him” or some such, I’m not directly quoting. AND It was very difficult to find the link to donate to Alex’s charity on this site. That ain’t neutral (I don’t usually use the word “ain’t” for all those who have called people they perceive like me uneducated, just using it for effect).
So, when it comes to neutrality on this site, this is a pretty recent change is it not?
I applaud the people who run this site for trying to make it neutral now.
The Battle of the Fang was an event held by us and our sister site AlexSkarsgard.net. The banner on the right always pointed to the post with links to both of our sites and where to donate. In addition, we have always had a banner linking to AlexSkarsgard.net in the right nav as well. The Battle of the Fang was a great success for all the charities and websites involved. Obviously, as we were promoting Team Bill in the event, our posts were about trying to get his charity to win over the Viking. It was all done in good fun with the charities of both sides being the winners.
We have brought on some new posters to this site, and as I’ve been saying – they’re pretty much free to post what they like. I don’t think anyone is going out of their way to piss off the other “team” or audience. Of course, this might happen as people have differing passions and are invested with different characters, but hey, people are individuals and like what they like (or not).
Well now, I am so sorry that this site has changed so much recently. I have been a fan of
the Nest for a long time.( my favorite for a long time!)
And yes,it did start out and continued to be,until fairly recently, a True Blood fan site with a predominate Bill emphasis. And I was always interested to read what other fans thought of what ever was happening or any news. But then something started to change. Come here as usual to share the love and instead get insulted, infuriated and generally amazed at the rudeness and meaness of these new people who have obviously been having their own little love fest at other sites and have a foot (or 2) in the parallel universe of SSN bookdom. I think there is something wrong .. or??? Most times when I was here so I went away to Stephen, Moyer-net … but now I can not find it among your collaboration sites. What happened? Has it just disappeared, or will you collaborate with any other Bill / Stephen page???
We expect our collaborators/sister sites to have our back as we have theirs. If that is not happening, then it is hypocritical to continue the relationship.
It’s very possible that we could collaborate with another Bill/Stephen page in the future.
