Vegetarian Times praises True Blood’s Kristin Bauer

The Vegetarian Star praises Kristin Bauer for *almost* being a vegetarian. Kristin does so much great work with Tails for Whales and other eco-friends causes and was quoted at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s 25th Anniversary Gala:
True Blood’s Kristin Bauer could not find the words to express the unnecessary suffering done to “people, animals or anything.” She goes on to say, “I find it hard to find the words on how much it pains me”. Kristin calls herself “almost vegetarian” since she still gets to eat meat probably a couple of times a year during Christmas gatherings with the family. “But I buy the free range meat at least,” she adds. Kristin’s face lit up when we asked her about the upcoming season of ‘True Blood’. “We’re having such a ball right now. Everything on the show is bigger and better than last year. All the characters are explored, the special effects are bigger, the characters are deep. It’s just so much fun. I was shooting right there (points to the building across us) all week so I was here twelve hours ago.”
From the Vegetarian Star:
Kristin Bauer from HBO’s True Blood is so close to being vegetarian, we’re going to award her an Honorable Mention.
The actress recently attended the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine’s 25th Anniversary Gala where she revealed she only eats meat about twice a year.
Looking forward to the day when Kristin announces she’s making a seitan loaf or Tofurky for the next family gathering.

She’s awesome, and I hope to be 1/4 of her…one day.
Oh Kristen … Just do it girl. Come to the light side of the Force. Go VEG for your planet!
Good on her!
I just love Kristen, I want to be just like her when I grow up. : )
I don’t like that she says this coming season of TB is bigger and better. So many of the actors said something similar about season 2 and it turned out to be a bit of a letdown.
So are we rooting for smaller & better ;)
I love that she really thinks about everything she does, how she lives, what she consumes, how her actions will affect things other than herelf. I love that. Not sure I have the discipline to be so conscientious, but people like Kristen inspire me to try. :) She’s an amazing woman.
