They shouldn’t make more episodes as I think this would slow the whole season down. Also I think that it would, in the long run shorten the lifespan of the show. Here in Britain, we are used to having short seasons on alot of our shows. The average show will have about 10-13 episodes. I hate waiting soooooooooo looooooooooonnnnnnnnggggg for a new season to start, but when it does, it is intense, dramatic and hot as hell!!! Hurry up June!!! thats all I can say!!!!

I really hope they stick with the general story line of the book. Bill is a great guy, but he’s BORING!!! The perpetual suffering martyr gets old, he’s too tragic. Also, after reading the books and seeing how Eric’s character is developed there, I’m starting to like him a lot more than Bill. He’s more realistic, practical, super hot, and honest – no BS with him. I would be highly upset if they would leave the amnesia theme out, or if they replaced Eric with Bill – I want the Eric and Sookie shower scene!
Also, anyone have an idea why they made Godrek Eric’s maker, if the his book-maker along with Eric’s little brother is such a good plot? And I hope Tara leaves for good, she was getting really annoying – yes, we know she is angry, and we know she is obviously stupid cause she gets into the same situation over and over again. If she stays, write a bit of a character into her role, and please find a different actress, cause the one playing her right now sucks.
I just hope they follow the Jason kidnapped storyline. I hope to see some twists and turns in Jessica-Hoyt’s storyline. I’m also wanting to see Eric’a amnesia storyline. I hope it stays faithful to the book (as possible) just like season one, which wasn’t bad at all

Big Tara fan here, because I find her one of the more relatable characters on the show. I hope Tara comes back, but I’m not sure I’m feeling the supernatual angle for her character. For me, Tara is charming in that she remains so human and normal amidst all of the crazy supernatural stuff in Bon Temps (yeah she’s a little screwed up because of the stuff she deals with, but she’s still pretty normal and always just as entertaining as any of the supernatural characters despite being quite ordinary). I feel like there’s something constant and human that Tara brings to Sookie’s universe that I value.
I want Tara to continue to play a strong role – always being pulled into bad situations but also being tough and knowing how to handle herself – but by being just an ordinary woman as she’s always been. I like that she’s human – vulnerable but at the same time tough enough to keep up with Sookie’s weird world and holding her own just by being who she is. I think Tara’s humanity and normalness is a pretty valuable element in the show which I hope doesn’t change very much.
I’ve got to agree. There has to be some human characters that we can relate to. If not, I fear the balance of supes is getting out of hand. Who didn’t love Tara’s face when she watched Sookie walk to Bill in season 1? There still has to be some horror somewhere that these supes are not, perhaps, after our best interests…

Totally. I really do feel that the supe element is starting to outweigh the human element too much. If that continues to happen, the show will start to change too much. That social conflict and difference between the different groups is important in the True Blood universe, it keeps the show realistic in a way, and it’s important to still have that human element to weigh against the supes and keep that human element of fear and social conflict alive. We don’t want True Blood to end up being nothing more than a horror/supernatural-type show.

Season 3 was pretty close to matching s1, I think, and better than s2 by far. I’m digging the whole faerie storyline, it’s pretty cute and different. I like that Ball isn’t straying too far from that fantasy element of the books (so as to please the C Harris followers like rebecca here) yet keep the storylines grounded enough not to be too ridiculous. I hope they keep this up and don’t get too crazy trying to throw in as much shock value and overly colourful storylines all in attempt to keep topping the previous season (which I suppose all of them have done thus far). The way they can keep TB the best show ever is by staying loyal to that atmosphere and mood that the fans took to in the first place, and by not introducing too many way out new characters and ideas that seem very foreign to the original concept.
That being said, I think the whole witches arc in upcoming s4 could be fun and I’m looking forward to it myself.
Ok this is how i feel.
I want Sookie and Bill back together, because Bill I think has loved Sookie more for than just what she is, like come on he asked her to marry him and that in Season 2 Episode 1, he told her he loved her. He is patient with her, supports her and risks his life to save her such as in Season 3 so that Russell won’t have a hold of her.
Eric should leave Bill and Sookie alone because Sookie belongs to Bill.
In season 4 there should be more sex, violence and twists which i am guessing will happen.
That is all i can think of.

I’m re re re re reading the 4th book now. I’m thinking maybe something does happen to Tara. Or was it the last book.. Yup 3rd book. She was at the Were Bar in Shreveport and saw Sookie there. Plus she dated a Vampire (older one) then. Not the guy she ended up with last year in MS. The name is the same but the Vampire WAY different. Anyway in the 4th book she (if I recall) finds Sookie on the side of the road when Sookie was looking for Jason who’s been kidnapped by someone in HotShot. She’s driving a new car just given to her by her Vampire. What bothers me tho is to become a were she has to be bitten. The only other thing would be a Vampire right? Geeez now I’m back to being confused!!

I would just like to say 2 things. 1. winter is already too long, and with the addition of waiting FOREVER!!!! for season four, I’m about ready to go crazy. and 2.[SPOILER ALERT] I hate to tell all you Bill lovers (eww) that book-wise (and admittedly part of the appeal of the show is that it doesn’t follow the books too closely) Bill and Sookie should be pretty much over…forever…and that inevitably it will be Eric and Sookie…starting with this amnesia, going through a slow patch with a couple other guys and then ending up with them married (or …well…kinda, hard to explain)…it would really make me happy if they stuck to that general storyline…well…they could leave out quinn. xox
well in the books [SPOILER] Sookie and Eric had a very sensual shower.
We’ll see. No one expected Sookie and Bill together after they broke up in the same episode.

Yes I am a Bill lover and Damn proud of it to. That is it they haven’t followed the books at all. I have read 1-4 and 4 made me wanna puk. Eric was just as bad in book 4 as he is in TB. Sorry but he just doesn’t impress me at all. I am not moved by egotistical brutes who use family members of people they supposedly love for their own gain.
Don’t get me wrong I love Alex. He is wonderful as a villian. I like the way season 1 went where Bill was the hero and all was well.
Bill/Stephen will always be the star of TB for me and whoever loves Eric (YUK!) you can have him. I would have Bill anyday.
….except you forget, bill is just as much a villain as Eric. He is using sookie too but even worse because he isn’t upfront and honest about it like Eric is. Eric is just more realistic, plus he’s smart, sexy, strong and loaded. Sookie needs a better protector than bill, she gets in too much trouble! Haha maybe she needs more powers too just to keep from getting killed!
I think HBO should realize that the fans would pay a premium to see TB for more episodes and faster. Surely it does NOT take a year to film.
I hope that Alan Ball deviates from the books. Come on, they’re not classic literature, they are mediocre vampire chick lit! The show is 1000 times better.
Wow. I am new to this site and love this section where all season 4 spoilers are collected. I was looking at them, and realized that there is next to nothing spoilers regarding Eric. Of all the characters, they seem to be the most tight-lipped about his story. Looks like his story is going to be the major story arc next season.
You are right – very little about Eric. He’s the “it” boy of the season I’m guessing!
Hiya Amy, glad you’re here!…I wouldn’t worry about no real spoilers yet on Eric, though if you follow the books you have an idea of (Eric fans are hoping) where the story goes in Season 4. I’m sure AB will not let us down with great stories on each of our favorites….less then 100 days to Season 4 YES!
My theories:
Sookie will remain in Faery for a little while trying to find answers, but time in the “real world” will have passed much quicker… i.e. Sookie in Faery for 2 days, real world 1 year. During which time Arlene will have the “evil” baby; Even if Sam actually shot Tommy, he doesn’t die; Sam meets new weres; Hoyt & Jessica must have problems; Bill may not kill the queen but @ least he makes it out alive; Jessica & Bill grow closer; Jason is more involved in Hot Shot-apparently has a crazy sex scene; Tara returns with a level head; Layfayette & Jesus grow closer and we learn about his past.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that after Sookie returns, she finds Eric running down the road naked (wink wink). I don’t see why they’d bring in witches if they weren’t going with the memory loss. We learn more about Pam’s history; We see Godric & Eric from the past when Godric was more ruthless.
I will take Eric, Alcide and Godric on True Blood, as much as I can. Bill and Sookie are ok. But, Sookie and Eric are electric. I can not wait for season 4. Also for my birthday in May. My daughter gets me the boxed True Blood dvds every year. I can not wait.
After the actor who plays Laffy made his “big reveal” ’bout (not) taking his character to the next level.
I drop Laffy as my fav. Jesus is my kinda actor… He goes where his character takes him. Any actor who allows his personal beliefs to effect his role should never have taken the role in the first.

I have heard of people even disrespecting Alex’s girlfriend Kate. I think people should leave their personal lives out of comments unless you are complimenting them.
