  1. Julia says:

Hate to be pedantic, but ‘Run’ is actually by Snow Patrol and was covered by Leona Lewis…

  2. me says:

hmm. That customer, could it be Marnie? Mind you, there is very little left of Hallow in Marnie/Antonia, other than her hatred. But maybe they decided to have her take V to increase her powers, too?

  3. Nicole says:

The customer has got to be Debbie. I mean did you see the look on her face when Alcide ran off with Sookie.

  4. TraceElement says:

This just finished playing. Now, i love TRUEBLOOD, but there was not ONE THING in this show tonight, that refers to the books. Hey, i’m on board with changing things, so we are surprised by various new twists and turns. But the first season, was pretty close to the first book, and the second season wasnt THAT far off. THird season drifted further, but now, I dont know. I guess I’m disappointed. So much has been dumped. Hadley’s death and sophie ann’s various adventures, Jason as were panther, the witches as were wolfs on V, Sookie being courted by Calvin, of course the whole Fairy story with Claudine is gone. UP until now, we could at least tell that each episode corresponded to the first four books. BUT, now, they cant do that with the fifth book. anyway goes, and thats shame. The fifth season, wont have much of anything to do with anything, unless they do something about the fairy elements. It’s a pity, realy. I cant believe that Harris agreed to this much removed from her books.

I agree with TraceElement entirely. Obviously if you enjoyed the books and decided to make a series of them why would you leave out all the exciting elements. I was so thrilled to hear that True Blood was coming to TV – now it’s becoming almost a comedy show. I loved Claudine and she’s nowhere in the story line and the whole concept of Calvin and that creepy village down the road was so good. The writers turned that into a sex orgy. Perhaps they should read the books again and let the fans really enjoy the show.

  5. Firebrand says:

I completely agree with both the above comments. I loved the books, pity I can’t say the same about the series, find myself despising Sookie and want to give her a shake, she really is not this stupid in the books, naive sometimes, but not thick. It has turned into vampire/werewolf porn. This is more along the lines of what I would expect a series based on Anita Blake to be like and I grew bored of those books a while back. Yes sex sells, but you need a good solid storyline to base it all in and that is sadly lacking in this series. Claudine was one of my favourite characters too and she was barely there, the whole Hottshott bit was way off, Calvin Norris was meant to be an elderly gentleman type, not a raving lunatic. For the books sake, grow out Eric’s hair, put Pam in a twin set and pearls, with pumps, kill off Lafayette in the back of a van, marry of Tara to some thick but nice guy and lets get back to the plot shall we folks. Oh yeah and credit Charlaine Harris with writing the books and hope this travesty that is being made of them stops.
