True Blood promo during ‘Lost’ reveals code for exclusive clip

This Sunday during the Lost finale on ABC, HBO will air a True Blood promo. Embedded in the promo is a special QR code that will allow you to view an exclusive clip from season 3. And trust me, we’ve seen a snippet of this – y’all won’t be disappointed! Well actually, most of you will be, ‘cuz the promo will be available in the NY, L.A. and Philadelphia markets only.
To see the clip, you’ll need to DVR Lost and look out for the True Blood promo. Embedded in the True Blood promo is a special QR code. To access the clip, simply take a picture of the QR code on your smartphone. This will require a QR code reader, here are the apps suggested by HBO:

OK, I just did a practice run on this stuff using iNigma and it’s actually pretty cool. While ff’ing through 2.5 hours of Lost is not my idea of a good time, I’ll give it a shot and see what I get.
I don’t have a DVR? So am I out of luck?
I’m guessing that the code will be on the screen for a very short time – But maybe if you can see it and take the picture fast enough maybe you can catch it.

Ooh can you share some more details of the clip please? I have to work Sunday, have no DVR and sometimes have trouble with Internet video. So yeah my life sucks and vivid descriptions from other enthusiastic fans are pretty much all I got LOL.
All I can tell you is that Eric looks way hot, is nekkid (my clip showed no dangler) and is willing to um…help Sookie.

That’s what I’m thinking too. Sookie’s wearing the dress Bill bought her – she went straight from the restaurant to Fangtasia. Why on earth would Eric have sex with someone in the dungeon, though? That place is nasty, and I bet the stench is such that it simply wouldn’t ever go away.
Maybe Sookie insisted they check out the dungeon…just in case Eric had Bill down there?

I guess I’m screw since I don’t live in the US and even if I did there’s no way in hell I would watch Lost!!! I’m gonna have to wait for some nice nester upload it in here or I’ll just have to wait for season 3 to start!
Same here Melissa – Lost is being shown at 5am monday morning here in the UK to coincide with US showing but i will wait for later showing . Echo appeal for some very kind person to post on here if at all possible !
LOST in OZ is next week and I don’t know if they will show the TB trailer. Will have to wait and see!

I’m an American and don’t have cable (and thus no dvr), nor a cell phone. Heck, I don’t even have a driver’s license. I’m an unintentional Luddite.

Thanks, I got it now. The code I happened to scan kept bringing me to HBO’s home page but since it’s on my phone it was making me choose one of those but for the code they provided its what was supposed to pop up. I tried another code and brought me to TB FB page. Thank you again

**SIGH** I just happened to check my FB from my mobile this morning, and i saw this news update and this tiny-as photo of Sookie with some tall dude with amazing abs. Needless to say i leapt out of bed to jump online and see the real photo for myself, and now i feel amazingly happy… the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and i have seen Alex’s snail trail ;) Not for the first time tho, anyone else watched Generation Kill? Never fear I am sure that the promo will show up on youtube within minutes of airing. I somehow have heard 11:15pm EST. Possibly the time that it will be launched. Good God, could they make it a little more exclusive and complicated? This is even worse than Comcast-exclusive content on the web. Hello, HBO. It’s a promo. A PROMO. You want to hit the biggest market possible to build the hype, not make something shiny for only certain people who watch one show and have a DVR and live in one of two cities to see.
Terrible marketing fail. However, they generally rock in the marketing department, so I guess it’s proof that even the best screw up occasionally.
