Two award events happened over the weekend, both took place at the Beverly Hilton. Ho-hum, I’m gonna group both of them in this post as True Blood didn’t win either.
1. True Blood was up for a 14th Annual Art Director’s Guild Award on Feb 13th. Kevin Alejandro (Jesus Valasquez, Lafayette’s new man) presented. As usual, Mad Men took the prize (Episode of a One-Hour Single Camera Television Series).
2. On Feb 14th, the True Blood episode, “Hard Hearted Hannah” was up for an ACE Eddy Award against a couple of episodes of Dexter. Dexter won. Michelle Forbes was there presenting and looked stunning as usual.

Too bad for True Blood. Well at least season 1 scored with quite a few acknowledgements and many awards.
This is just another disappointment in a season of losses for TB.
I agree Aemac, season 1 so far has been the best in terms of acknowledgements except of course for Stephen. He should have recieved at least a best actor nod (besides the screams) for his amazing portrayal of our resident life challenged smolderingly sweet yet dangerous Bill Comptom.
Perhaops in the seasons to come we will see some of the magic of Season 1 return.
