spoilers3 1024x256 casting call

I don’t know how much of a spoiler this is so I’ll call it small…..for now.

HOLLY: A thirtysomething (presumably single) mother of two, Holly applies for a job at Merlotte’s and creeps Arlene out with her oddly prescient observations. Very strong recurring in season 3 with a possible series regular upgrade in season 4.

OK, someone is gonna have to jump start my memory here please. Holly isn’t a witch right? She’s just a Wiccan person?

    • Kelly says:

Holly Cleary – as already mentioned she and Hoyt find love down the track. I can’t wait for the Hallow/Marc Stonebrook storyline, just as long as it isn’t dragged out like the maenad storyline, I was SO sick of Maryanne and wanted her dead already!!!

  2. Aemac says:

I have a feeling this is in no way a small character. I find it interesting her name is Holly, very similar to Hollow.

  3. BillsRenfield says:

Holly is Wiccan. Her and Hoyt eventually become a couple in the books.
I think Hallow will be cast as Hallow, and Holly will be the introduction into witchcraft, imo.

  4. CitizenErased says:

Oh god, it just keeps getting worse and worse, doesn’t it? Don’t like witches. Don’t like fairies. I think this will be the last season I’ll be watching.

    • Aemac says:

Make room for me on your couch CE, I might need company in my depression over too many supes in the soup.

      • wouldn'tyouliketoknow says:

This show is based upon books, and in those books are supes of all kinds. Just get used to it. It’s the way it is. Or, better yet, go PICK UP the books and actually read them. You might find that you enjoy them.

  5. BillsRenfield says:

I fear that AB may be going a little too “Over the Top” – after the meanad, black eyed zombies and naked orgies, toning it down wouldn’t be a bad thing.

  7. TBLVR says:

Sounds to me like they are preparing for the 4th book and Eric’s amnesia storyline/curse, if they are introducing the witches this early. My prediction is that the season 3 finale will be Eric running down Sookie’s road on New Year’s Eve ….cue music….fade to black =)

    • Lividity says:

I think I agree with you TBLVR.

    • Reverse says:

I bet you $20 that’s what the finale will be. One hellova cliffhanger(as always T_T), and a perfect way to be yet another ‘wtf!?’ moment. I agree 100% that that’s no doubt gonna be the finale. ;) Hang onto that bet!

  8. jay says:

AB always said he will keep to the spirit of the books. Before every season they revise the corresponding book, pick out events they like and work it into the show. I dont understand why people get upset that season 4 may go in the direction of CH book 4. It was gonna happen whether we liked book 4 or not. If you dont like the amnesia storyline, why dont you just enjoy the other storylines that the show will create. Im sure AB will create something great 4 bill. Dont stop watching because you didnt like book 4, Im sure season 4 of TB will have something every1 will enjoy.
If your adamant you will never be open 2 watching season 4 well you shouldnt bother commenting or watching the show @ all this season.
Why cant every1 just be open and enjoy the show and your fav characters?

  9. chris says:

Sounds like they are using her to bring in the witches … and come between Hoyt and Jessica …

Maybe a brief love interest for Sam …

    • Lividity says:

Please. I want for Sam to have some truly hot sexy scenes please. And although I’m all about the anticipation of the sexy Bill dreams, I’d like to see some real ass hot action with the Merlotte man. Is that too much to ask?

  10. konfettii says:

Interesting choice for a secondary character for this season. Certainly seems to be setting up the witch covens. Part of me wonders if the last part of the season will be book 4.
I never minded the witches. I guess after vampires and werewolves and shifters the supernatural-denial part of the brain just couldn’t be shocked anymore!
Wonder if it will bring out the real life crazies though *shrug*

  11. Kendra says:

Personally I’m looking forward to the witches and wiccans and I’m hoping for one particular wiccan to be introduced into the show, but that’s not for awhile yet. Also I’d just like to say book 4 was my favourite. It was so entertaining I laughed till I cried. Anyway I’m looking forward to the next season and this is just making me more impatient for season 3 to start. The waiting is too much (sigh).

  12. Susan says:

Holly is just a waitress with a kid in Book 3. Sookie doesn’t find out she is wiccan until Book 4. She is basically a good character, just a bit punk/goth. No need to get your knickers in a knot about witches/wiccans until Season 4.

  13. crystal says:

I agree with tblvr. It looks like she will be a small character for season 3 and bigger in season 4 as the book dictates. I can see season 3 ending with eric whereing not much wondering around not knowing who or what he is.

  14. crystal says:

I alos think that allen ball is trying to make the show not just about vampires as we all know that read the books that their is way more to the story then just vampires, and also this whould be a good thing for the longveity of the show if the whole vampire craze suddenly burts and becomes unpopular. also he has like 10+ books to fit into like 6 or seven seasons as that is how long most of the season are for in hbo shows.

    Just an idea.

  15. Horror Reader says:

I thought in the books that Holly was a witch who worked at Merlotte’s as a waitress and was in a relationship with Hoyt. She’s also a single mother to one son from a previous relationship.

  16. bookfan says:

Book readers should know better than to tell speculators that Holly and Hallow are two separate characters. You never know how AB will interpret the characters from the books into the TV show, Russel Edgington anybody? Also you seem to forget that there are in fact two girls named Holly, the other’s is just spelled silly; Halliegh. AB could easily turn that creepy Holly into Hallow, just like he fabricated the fantastic Jessica, and prolonged Lafayette’s life. Keep in mind that the show is “based on characters created by Charlaine Harris.” It’s not true to the plot of the books, although it is a great show enjoyed by many people.

  17. taba says:

I think Yvette is going is actually Hallow just a thought.

  18. taba says:

sorry. my computer is acting funny. i think that Yvette will turn out to be Hollow.
