Lil Mirkk
Although I don’t recall a casting call going out, IMDb has Lil Mirkk listed as Trey for 4 Season 3 episodes (“It Hurts Me Too,” “9 Crimes,” “Trouble,” and the currently untitled 3.11).
A last name for the character is not listed, so I’m not sure if this is Trey Dawson, who appeared in the later books, or if he’s some other character who happens to have the same first name.
He doesn’t look how I pictured Trey, but then again, they never ask for my opinion on these things.
UPDATE: Lil Mirkk’s people have been kind enough to let us know that he’s NOT playing Trey Dawson. He’ll be another character who happens to have the same first name. Thank you to them for the clarification.
Not what I pictured either. I’ve always pictured him looking either like Dominic Purcell or the giant black were guy from the Underworld movies.

He is not playing Trey Dawson. Another Character called Trey guys. Not good to jump to conclusions!!!!!

Well, to be fair to this actor, we haven’t seen him, well… act yet. He may be the perfect Trey. I’m not going to judge him based upon one photograph. I say bring on all sorts of diverse actors. We already have the insanely beautiful category covered don’t we?
And I feel I need to say this again, even though it’s in the article, we don’t even know for sure this Trey is Trey Dawson. He COULD be someone completely different… Just saying…
we dont know if this trey is based on the trey dawson from the books. And if he is, AB may take make some differences in the character…We just dont know yet, just wait and see how his character pans out ppl.

Once again he is not Trey Dawson but a character of the same name. You guys will definitely grow on Mirkk he has been compared to Will Smith.
Shelly, thank you for the clarification. As I said in the post (and followed up later with a comment), we didn’t know if he was meant to play Trey Dawson or someone else with the same first name. I certainly didn’t intend to offend by saying he didn’t look like I’d envision Trey Dawson (especially since that’s not even who he’s playing). The casting of the show has never disappointed, and I’m looking forward to seeing him on screen.

Moonlight, with all do respect to your opinion, no one is “hating” as you put it, on Lil Mirkk. All the comments above are from book fans that viewed his character as Trey Dawson. Since the research that was pulled from IMDB did not show a last name for the character, Dawson was the character the fans assumed he would be portraying.
The post is about a fictional character, not the actor. So, please, before you go “hating” on another fan that spends her free time to bring other fans news, try to be respectful in your posts.
So if Lil Mirkk isn’t playing Trey Dawson but another Trey, that tells me that AB isn’t doing the whole Amelia and Trey line from the books. I mean really, out of all the names in the world to use, why pick a name like Trey to use twice. Which is fine by me, change it up AB, the more the better.
