Reverend Steve Newlin, vampire-hater extraordinaire (played by Mike McMillian) has confirmed that he’ll return to True Blood.
“You have not seen the last of Reverend Steve,” he told MTV at Comic-Con. “That’s probably all I can say!”
Of course, that’s not all that McMillian could say, as the actor went on to praise his “True Blood” colleagues for giving him the “best acting experience I’ve had so far…. Working with Alan Ball and that entire cast and crew is absolutely amazing,” he said.

Love the Newlins! They are so disfunctional. Anna Camp was also on the season opener of Mad Men Sunday night. She’s so pretty!
Yessssss! Love me some Newlins.
Gahhhh the newlins! “The witch and the sumb*tch”… the golden syrupy and butterscotch mellow dahhhhlings…
Butterscotch. That is soooo perfect !
I like the Newlins, too. Not *like them* per se, but the human aspect that they bring to the series and to the supe-laden brew. They’re the contemporary version of the villagers with their pitchforks, storming Dracula’s castle. (Like the villagers, they’re not entirely wrong about the fanged menace, if the KRE plotline unfolds as we think it will.)
Aside: I wonder just how great the Great Revelation has turned out for the vamps. What’s the upside in coming out of the coffin? Seems like you get Newlins gunning for ya with stake bullets, and the IRS hounding you for back taxes.
ahhh figure they’d be back!!! but cant quite figure out what and where there involvment will be!!! :)
Didn’t Sara Newlin tell Jason that her big sister, Amanda, got hooked on V and left the family and so forth. So maybe she was Jason’s girlfriend Amy?
