Hey all you Twits! HBO has recently repurposed their BloodCopy.com site to be a really cool True Blood Twitter dashboard. Here, you can not only see all #TrueBlood related tweets, you can even filter on True Blood role players, True Blood journalists, sheriffs and even Superfans! Check it out! Heck, you might be luckier than us and already even be a Superfan!

E! Online has discovered (like so many of us) how useful and entertaining Twitter can be in keeping up-to-date with our favorite show, True Blood. From the True Blood role players to @TrueBloodHBO and their over 60,000 followers, there’s enough to keep us satiated (well, almost) until season three starts on June 13th. Oh, and if you haven’t already become addicted to Twitter, what you waiting on?

OK, so you may hate Twitter ’cause you don’t wanna read about Kirstie Alley’s butter-withdrawal pissiness or Lindsay Lohan’s nonsensical pleas that you buy her leggings. Understandable.

But whether you love or hate the emo network, we think the True Blood Twitter proves there are some fabulous things the microblogging site can do. Especially for bloodthirsty types like us!

We (like you, we’re sure) have been mourning the break between True Blood seasons, but the Twitter led us to a clip that quenched a certain hunger we had…

@TrueBloodHBO is a finalist for the Shorty Award in the Entertainment category!

The Shorty Awards honor the best people and organizations on Twitter. These unique awards are for the Twitter community, by the Twitter community. Online voting is public and democratic, culminating in an awards ceremony that recognizes the winners in 26 official categories as well as those in brand new crowd-sourced ones.

From Monday, February 1 at noon EST until Friday, February 5 at noon EST, you’ll be able to vote among finalists. You can also keep voting in any of the community categories. Winners will be determined by a combination of popular vote and by the members of the new Real-Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences. An awards ceremony, complete with 140-character acceptance speeches, will be held in March in New York City.

All nominations will count as votes for the final round. If you’ve already voted for a finalist, there’s no need to vote again unless you want to update your reason.

The Real-Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences will use a combination of criteria to select the winners, including the number of votes, the reasons given in nominations, answers to the Shorty Interview (which you can still take here) and the content of the finalists’ tweets.
