AccessHollywood chatted with Ryan Kwanten on the phone. Oddly enough, Ryan explained that the rush of wind in the background: “I’ve just picked up my parents at the airport and… my dad has brought his long, sort of 10 foot surfboard, and so we’re both holding it to the roof with these makeshift roof racks… I’ve got one hand out the window holding the board up… So, I apologize, I didn’t imagine there was going to be anything too provocative.”
Ryan shared that when S3 opens (S2 ends quite dramatically with Jason shooting Eggs), Jason runs into a new set of problems almost immediately after Andy Bellefleur takes credit for the act: “Yeah, he’s not too happy that Andy is taking the glory for shooting Eggs and while he’s getting the glory, I’m trying to deal with the fact that I’ve killed a man,” Ryan said of his upcoming storyline. “So, Jason’s not one to let anyone have glory other than him. So, he doesn’t take it too well.”
Inspired by jealousy, or maybe just having found a new passion in life post-Church of the Sun, Jason also has a new goal in mind – one that could mean fewer sweaty (“provocative”) tank top scenes.
“Jason is sort of trying to wing his way into the cop force, so that’s sort of a bit of a tease for the new season,” Ryan said.

Jason Stackhouse & Andy Bellefleur
In the latest MegaBuzz from TV Guide, there’s a short tidbit about that Stackhouse boy and how he’s going to get over his crime against Eggs. Not really a spoiler. Well, OK, sort of…
Is Jason going to get away with shooting Eggs on True Blood?
For now, yes. Andy has a pretty hilarious way for the dunderheaded Jason to remember how to avoid suspicion — a mantra, if you will. Wait until you hear it.

The VMAN Summer 2010 issue is getting hotter and hotter. Not only have we already gotten a bunch of Alexander Skarsgård and Ryan Kwanten, now they’ve thrown in the Vampire Jesus as well! Here are the scans of Ryan Kwanten’s and Allan Hyde’s pages. Click to enlarge, as usual.

C.C. Sheffield ~ Missy in Season 3
A couple weeks ago, casting was announced that C.C. Sheffield was selected to play the part of Missy in Season 3, episode one – “Pack of Wolves.” We had a chance to catch up with CC and here she is, on the set.
TB-N: How does it feel to be a part of True Blood?
CCS: I feel very excited I’m huge fan of Alan Ball, and all his work. So I was honored as an actress to work on a show that has top notch quality writing, and acting. Oh and hot hot guys.
TB-N: We hear the cast and the set is a great place to be. Have you had any funny moments yet?
CCS: The cast is so welcoming and very professional. After my episode’s table read the director introduced me to Ryan Kwanten; to break the ice, I said, “So I’m gonna be ******* you,” and he laughed. The director assured me that every shot is planned and it will be fun. I was very impressed by Jim Parrack he is a great actor, he studies at Playhouse West, he puts up plays every year on his own dime. I was bemoaning theater in Los Angeles, and it was inspiring to talk to actors who are self motivated in their commitment to the craft.
TB-N: Do you have any other projects in the works or are you focusing on True Blood?
CCS: This year is exciting; I have a single I wrote called “Escape Me” on Tiesto’s new album “Kalidescope.” He will be performing Coachella and I will hopefully be joining him. My own solo record, “Golden Grime” will be digitally released in March. As far as on the sliver screen, I have bit part in Sofia Coppola’s movie “Somewhere” coming out this summer. Also [I'll be in] “Street Dreams,” Rob Drydek’s skate movie. I was the female lead alongside all-pro skaters Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Ryan Sheckler; that DVD is going to be released this year.
CC and Ryan ~ On the set
TB-N: I see you are filming with Ryan; how has that experience been? Ryan is known for getting naked – are you following his lead? :)
CCS: Yes of course. I’m into nudity.
TB-N: Without giving anything away, can you tell us what’s in store for the fans in season 3?
Lots of action and flesh.
Here are some photos from the set. We might guess what Jason Stackhouse is doing with two beautiful women in robes but what I want to know, is how the prop lamp is going to meet its demise? If you notice the lamp says “break away.” This means it’s a stunt lamp; you can get smacked in the head with it and it won’t hurt. I didn’t think I could be more excited about season 3, but the clues keep coming and the excitement builds. C.C., we hope you have fun with Jason Stackhouse.
Here’s a video of C.C. Sheffield’s “Escape Me” from Tiësto’s album “Kaleidoscope.”

According to Extra, Bill Compton and Jason Stackhouse are among the 20 most desirable male characters to be found on TV. Bill got himself the number 5 slot and Jason picked up number 6. Congratulations to Stephen and Ryan for a job well done!
Bill Compton
Jason Stackhouse
Lovable yet dim Jason Stackhouse, played by Ryan Kwanten, charms the ladies with his boyish features and Southern accent on “True Blood.”
Bill Compton, played by Stephen Moyer, is the Louisiana’s most hospitable vampire on “True Blood” — and Sookie isn’t the only girl swooning over his Southern charm.

Ryan Kwanten
Ryan Kwanten has done an interview with OK! magazine. He remarks that Jason is not like him really at all as he tends to be far too cerebral and he totally over-analyses things. Which I find to be completely darling as he plays the polar opposite of himself on the show.
Dude seems to be a truly motivated man and when asked if he’s single, remarks:
“Yes, I’m single and no I’m not dating. That concept has always eluded me, that whole dating thing. What I’m amazed at more than anything is marriage, the lack of thought that goes into marriage.
Maybe it’s just like going to buy a sandwich: ‘How about we just get married?’ And then the next week they break up, like it was nothing.”

Ryan Kwanten on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Ryan Kwanten appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and brought along a gift for Jimmy – his signed modesty sock. Sock interaction below, more at link.
Ryan has been in the United States for seven years and in the first season of “True Blood” he was more naked than clothed.
“I’m kind of used to wearing what they call a modesty sock,” Ryan said.
He pulled a signed sock (It says “Ryan Kwanten was here 2009”) out of his suit jacket pocket and gave it to Jimmy.
“I could probably get a fortune for this on eBay,” Jimmy said.

Ryan Kwanten as Jason Stackhouse
OK, but to be honest, he probably talks to people every day of his life, but this time, Ryan Kwanten spoke with People Magazine:
From battling addiction to vampire blood to getting mixed up with a fanatical religious group and then sleeping with the preacher’s wife, Ryan Kwanten’s True Blood character, Jason Stackhouse, is always getting into trouble on HBO’s hit show. Luckily for the 32-year-old Australian actor, who has lived in Los Angeles for seven years, he’s nothing like his rural Louisianan alter ego. “We look the same to a certain degree,” he jokes. “But my jeans aren’t as tight.” Before True Blood’s finale on Sept. 13, which Kwanten calls “the amalgamation of pretty much the entire season,” the actor spoke with PEOPLE about his character, Louisiana cooking and how he stays so darn ripped!
