Stephen Moyer started filming “The Caller” last night and he is no stranger to night shoots. True Blood filmed a lot of scenes at night. Now he is filming in the dark again for the whole first week of shooting in Puerto Rico as the filming begins on “The Caller.” But this time he is not the sexy vampire we know and love; he plays John Guidi, a Puerto Rico born math professor.
His character crosses path with Mary Kee, played by Rachelle Lefevre (vampire Victoria in Twilight- replacing Brittany Murphy), when she comes to college where he teaches night classes.
Some very weird things start happening to Mary once she finds an old telephone in her apartment. The phone’s antique allure calls to her and she gives it a home. Before long, strange calls from the past begin to ring the antique phone. As Professor Guidi gets to know Mary, he tries to help. Someone in Mary’s life, past or present is wreaking havoc and it could be anyone. Her ex-husband is played by Ed Quinn (We all know him as Stan [Ranchero Poseur] from Season 2). This looks like it will be a great supernatural thriller in “The Ring” style.
The movie sounds like it’s worth a watch. I think this is the first info I’ve seen about the actual role Steve will be playing. Well done, TC.
