Eric must be doing this during the day while Russell is sleeping. They both have the bleeds. Sophie-Ann is bleeding from the nose and Eric from the ear.

i havent read the books (although i know i need to! lol) and can’t remember if they mentioned it on the show before.
when they are not able to rest during the day their strength is seriously depleted and they get “the bleeds”

Oh, Eric can be sooooo mean….to put it nicely. Sookie won’t forgive him for feeding off of Hadley if she finds out. Man, Sookie has a list of things to not forgive him for.
mehhh… hadley, the cousin who disclosed her gift and set all the vamps on her trail? the one who has not made contact in years and does not even know gran is dead? I should think the torture of lafayette would be much harder to forgive, among other grievances. I’m sorry, I don’t particularly care for hadley and in the grand scheme of things eric has done far but far worse.
Hadley asked about Gran…and Bill wouldn’t even tell her Gran was dead. He made like everything was A-Okay in Sookieland. Aside from the maenad.
still, I don’t see how hadley can command that much sympathy from sookie. Seen as hadley plainly stated she wouldn’t be keeping contact with either gran or sook, its understandable bill not revealing that information at a crisis moment such as the maenad attack, whilst also sparing her feelings.
Maybe I interpreted with a bias, but I thought Hadley felt a great deal of regret about leaving Sookie and Gran behind. It wasn’t mean spirited. I don’t think Sookie would be upset with her personally, other than feel bad that she made such bad decisions. Sookie has a pretty big heart, unlike her head.
I agree. I don’t think Hadley is a bad person; perhaps only a naive person. (I’m being nice to her see?) I don’t see Sooks getting mad at her – she grew up knowing her and probably realizes how easily she can be let astray.
Really? I dont really think that was the time to tell Hadley about Gran, when QSA was 10 feet away and Bill was there for other reasons and the fact that Hadley doesnt really know him..was that the right time to tell her Gran died? When the moment arrives to inform families of a loved ones death it’s usually not a hurried “sorry for your loss” or “oh yeah but the way..Gran died, yep killed by a serial killer…sucks huh”and a run for the door. It should be done in a quiet, private place. But most of all a place where the families can have their reaction, regardless of what it is, time to absorb the news. Certainly not in the “dayroom” of a self-absorbed vampire queen. Bill was caught as MOST people are whan faced with this situation. He left it for Sookie to tell her, when the Hadley could be told properly.

As of now, not much of a Bill list but I’m sure it’ll grow. Eric’s growing by leaps and bounds, at least if Sookie finds out about everything. And when it comes to family and loved ones, I think Hadley will matter. Sookie always forgives even when she shouldn’t. She’ll forgive Hadley by the time Sookie meets Hadley’s son. Oh, but wait, Sookie will never find out about Hadley ‘cuz Eric won’t tell her and he’ll glamour Hadley to not remember. Let me shorten that list.
Think you’ve hit the nail on the head with this post and the previous one Aemac – sadly the Bill list will grow but conniving Eric will be forgiven or just glamout everyone and leave Sookie in the dark .
And i agree with the theories about the blood bonds Cranky …these teasers only make matters more contentious .
Oh yes, she will have a Bill list after she finds out she was an “assignment” from QSA. And I suspect we may find out that Bill’s apparent ability to daywalk in an upcoming episode is from her and that he knew of this possibility all along and never warned her of it or the danger to her if vamps found out… rather he was helping a vamp by investigating her abilities. She should rightfully question the idea that Bill ever loved in the first place, since their meeting and was no coincidence.
And she already knows he slept with his ex, so he cheated on her as well.
Oh that Nasty Beel! He’s just so mean and hateful. He’s not trying to protect her either – it’s all about saving his own ass. And if the Queen made him do it… well, he could surely have refused. I wonder why some can’t see that. Curious.

But wouldn’t protecting her include telling her the truth and warning her of the danger she is in and what vamps suspect about her??? Their entire relationship is based on a lie (with potentially BIG ramifications) and that is somehow supposed to be okey-dokey?? No, I don’t think so.
When it comes to Bill knowing he could daywalk by drinking Sookie’s blood, all I can say is…..WHAT? Is this from the books? I thought we were watching TB. From that little promo they gave us it looks to me like Bill is rather surprised he’s in the daylight and not burning….and since HBO likes to screw with our heads when it comes to the previews well……
I am just speculating. We know from the books that Sookie draws power from the sun (she’s a sun fairy) so I am guessing this is why Bill is not burning. It just makes sense that QSA would be interested in the ability to daywalk and I am wondering if that might not be what QSA tells Eric when he drains Hadley… it can’t be about the telepathy because Eric is shocked by the answer.

I love this scene. Eric must have caught a glimpse of the dossier Bill/QSA had on Sookie? One more reason he’s not happy with Bill or the Queen.
Why would Eric be unhappy with Bill or QSA over the dossier on Sookie? He’s used her to his advantage plenty of times – seems hypocritical for him to be upset over them doing the same.
I think he’ll be crabby about it, not because Bill is harming Sookie in any way, but because Bill & QSA had private business of which he was not privy. He is way above Bill in vampire ranking and the Queen having secrets with Bill will piss him off.
Yes…that was Eric’s problem with Bill in the book. Going behind his back and working for the Queen. The weird thing about book 3…was Eric’s conviction that QSA was going to do something really horrible to him IF he didn’t find Bill or the “project” he’d been working on. Eric wanted Sookies help…it was “life or death”. Which made no sense!
It was over the top and open ended….and had NOTHING to do with the Sookie seduction. It was all about that lame-arsed vampire directory. Eric had no clue Bill was double back-stabbing him.
Eric has even bigger reasons for not trusting Bill or QSA in the show. The Queen framed him for selling her blood…Bill threatened him like the innocent lamb he’s NOT…BOTH have been running behind his back…both have used him as needed and both he and Pam could die as a result. That’s betrayal!
And now I want Bill and Eric to come to an understanding so they can effectively protect sNookie and work together to defeat the common foe.
Agree with Bill and Eric coming together to defeat a common foe – be it Russell or Sophie-Anne. Frenemies EriBill is alot of fun.
But I will take small exception to the idea that Bill has been betraying Eric. Seems as though Eric’s beef should be with QSA. The only thing Bill did was tell Rusell that Eric had been selling the blood for the Queen – the truth btw. And that was cancelled out in my book when Pam & Eric fingered Bill to the Magister for the same evil deed which was nothing but a blatant lie.
It’s Sophie-Anne that has betrayed Eric. Sophie-Anne that sent Bill to Bon Temps. Regardless of Eric’s ranking over Bill, I would assume that the Queen giving an order to one of her subjects (Bill), overrrides whatever loyalty Bill is supposed to have to Eric.
Yeah, was just going to make similar comment. The thing with Bill telling that Eric is selling V at the Queen’s bequest actually protects Eric a bit as I’m guessing that you need to do what your Queen tells you to do, no matter what. Same thing Bill is doing with Sooks. Also, I imagine if you’re a Queen, it is impossible to do anything behind your worker bee’s backs. It’s really not for your underlings to question your motives.
I think that Eric and Bill will come together in epi 12 or at least some spoilers sort of lead us to believe.
Eric will be forgiven because she will expect this behavior from him.
She will be blindsided by the Bill stuff so that’s why I think it will be harder for to forgive him.
Now, if *I* were Sookie, Eric would be on my permanent s-list and Bill would be getting the forgiveness, but you know it’s not gonna play out that way :-(

Eric and Sookie are not in a relationship so while she may not agree with his methods.. he doesn’t owe her anything. Bill on the other hand is supposed to be her true love so his betrayals are MUCH larger in the grand scheme of things and should rightfully be much more worrisome to her than what Eric does.
The blood bond is huge. Sookie always questions if her love for Eric…her happiness with Eric is REAL…or the result of the blood bond.
She could be asking herself the same questions about her love for/connection with Bill.
I think Sookie truly loves Bill but she has the serious hots for Eric. Yes the blood bond is mostly certainly relevant !!!!
What’s a shame is that Sookie having feelings for Eric is caused by a deceitful act of a blood bond where she has no choice about how she feels and so many fans think that’s okay for Sookie. Why is that? Because Eric is humorous? I’m not trying to argue but to understand. If Sookie was my daughter I would have put a hit out on Eric and so would every mother out there.
A deceitful act? Was Sookie given a choice when she lay dying…beaten bloody by the rats because Bill didn’t have the decency or common sense to arrive on time?
Sure she was…live or die? Eric’s act might have been deceitful…but Sookie still had choice. She could have let HIM die…or not…if she hated him so much? When Bill got his blood into Sookie…what choice was she given?
And yes…Bill told her her libido would be acting up. Not sure if he explained he’d always know where to find her and would be able to sense her emotions.
I don’t think Sookie was hating on Eric when she sucked his blood. She wasn’t attracted to him, but she wasn’t actively hating on him. And Sookie would never be the type of person to watch someone die if she though she could help. Eric told her he would die unless she helped him…
Sookie getting beat by the Rats is now Bill’s fault because he was late? And yes, he did tell her that he would always know where to find her. He told her the next night when they went on the walk from Gran’s – he told her and I quote “You’ll have keener senses. Your libido will be more active. I’ll always be able to feel you. I’ll be able to find you fast. If you are ever in trouble that could come in quite handy.”
No…in fact Sookie never hated Eric. Bill didn’t either. He was threatened by Eric and Eric’s interest in Sookie. Really threatened when Eric tricked Sookie into drinking his blood.
Still…I’m not arguing that Bill doesn’t LOVE Sookie. Clearly he does…and clearly he would do anything…no matter how foolish…to protect her. It’s also clear he doesn’t trust her love for him enough to be honest with her about how their great romance got started.

Sookie had gallions of Bills blood. She swallowed minimal of Erics. How come that everyone blames Sookies attraction to Eric because of the blood and with Bill “its true love”?
I’m guessing it’s because she had that sexy dream about Bill before she had his blood. There was no such sexy dream about Eric until after she had his blood. Also I think we’re supposed to believe that Eric’s blood is way more potent – if we believe Eric that is, because he said that it was.

My answer is to “Jana” and her question about why “everyone” is blaming Sookie’s “feelings” about Eric on taking his blood and not Bill’s……
First, we saw Sookie being VERY attracted to Bill BEFORE she ever took a drop of his blood. She saw him twice and felt his presence before she even saw him there on the second night. She also had a sexy dream about him the first night she met him, without having a drop of his blood. Pure attraction. Tara mentioned that Sookie told her it was “love at first sight”, and we know there was no blood involved at that time.
Also, Alan Ball said recently that Sookie’s feelings/attraction to Eric are strictly based on taking his blood. If Alan Ball doesn’t know, then who does?
Also, Eric has made a big deal out of his blood being “more powerful” because he’s 1000 years old. Bill also told Sookie that it only takes a small amount of an old vampire’s blood to have an effect.
Yes…Sookie was very attracted to the first vampire she’d ever met…especially when she realized she couldn’t “hear” him. Then…he almost instantly got a great deal of his blood into her. And no coincidence he proposed immediately once Eric had managed to sneak a couple drops of his more powerful blood Sookie’s way?
Bill should have fessed up about QSA’s “mission” before he ever proposed. That would have been the honest…loving thing to do.

Shouldn’t he have told her that little detail before she gave her virginity to him??? And yes, he was quick to try and obligate her to him after she became bonded to Eric as well.
I have long thought that Bill sat and watched her get attacked by the Rats so that she would get injured and require his blood. But at the LEAST, if the man loved her he should have told her about QSA and the mission.
Bill told Sookie about the sexual attraction the very first night they met. He offered her the blood telling her that it would improve her sex life. Then the night he “called on her” when she asked what drinking his blood would do to her he said that her libido would be more active. That was well before she gave her virginity to him.
No, telling her the blood would improve her sex life was like comparing it to Cialis. That is not the same thing at all. He did not mention that the blood could fabricate attraction where none used to be until she had Eric’s blood. Unless… you are actually saying the blood enhances a current attraction, in which case she had to be attracted to Eric on some level already.
Sookie was attracted to Bill from the very minute she saw him. She dreamed about him before she ever kissed him or drank his blood. She told Tara it was love at first sight.
I don’t know about the blood creating an attraction that never be existed but I think that Sookie, while not liking Eric as a person, has always been a bit fascinated by him. I think we clearly see this storyline differently so I’ll just leave it at that and chalk this up to a difference of opinion.
Well, AB screwed the pooch on the bond issue IMO. If the blood bond creates an attraction where none was before than surely Jason and Amy would have had the hots for Eddie. That didn’t happen so there goes that explanation.
If the blood only accentuates an existing feeling then Sookie was duped by Eric and on some level… Bill too. BUT that also means Sam was sexually attracted to Bill BEFORE he had his blood… somehow I doubt it.
AB’s True Blood universe is not very consistent.

That is a total cop out. First it indicates that AB can’t change his vision (and we all know he most definitely can) and secondly it makes Sookie really, really dumb. The female lead gets involved with Eric sexually, yes AB said they would get together and have a relationship, ONLY because of the bond? She ignores the fact that deep down she actually dislikes him but decides to get it on with him anyway for kicks and giggles?
It also ignores the fact that Eric could change while involved with Sookie and become more of the man she desires but alas because of the bond it can never be real for Sookie? That is lame. I think the bond explanation may be true in the beginning but it will not encompass their whole relationship.
I don’t recall Alan saying that Sookie would be attracted to Eric ONLY for the blood. I think he used “mainly” but I guess I should look for it.
I think Sookie and Bill really liked each other before she had his blood. Flirting in the parking lot, after she saved him, the obvious attraction when he came back the day after and she asked him for a favor…that was genuine.
But I guess we never will be sure what part has the blood to do in their relationship the same way we don’t know if that will always be the only reason for her to be attracted to Eric. (it is now, but it will always be like that?)
But I don’t see such evil intentions in Bill like the ones you exposed. He didn’t let Sookie to be hit for his own purpose and things just happened that way. And as for the Edict, I understand he was wrong not telling her in time, but damn, he was in a mission for the QUEEN and we all know how vampire politics work…ask Eric.

Well that happened to me after two days of knowing my BF…. 15 years ago. And I’m not fiction. SO yes, you can declare someone the love of your life after a short time and it works for some.
But AB said it’s not just the blood, he said it in the Q&A. AS also jumped and said no it’s not just about the blood. If it was the blood then they all have fake feelings for each other in every direction since Sookie’s blood is a lure for vampires, and she had Bill’s and Eric’s. So it is deeper than that.
Sorry but both have explaining to do, one persons mistakes does not disqualify the other one LOL. A woman does not excuse the behavior of her boyfriend because another man did something bad so might as well let one off the hook. This is where Alcide will come in which and she will think about leaving vamps behind period, as was made talked about in TV guide.
We also don’t know what this scene is about. I am not fully convinced that Eric is going to stay up past dawn just to find out what Bill and QSA have been doing behind his back. I think there is a lot more to this scene. Everyone is already assuming everything that will happen but watch it be the complete opposite. How do we know that Hadley is not going along with it? Eric brings up Sookie immediately, you don’t see Hadley looking at him surprised that it’s about her cousin Sookie. Everyone is judging a persons actions without knowing any of the facts really lol.
Bill will drain Sookie and Eric will drink from Hadley, yeah nobody is an angel next episode. Score for Alcide as of now
You are right TeamSookie, I remember that now. AB had to backtrack on that one because it basically takes away Sookie’s free will.
Kicks & giggles: actually, in the books it does sort of work out that way. She gets with Eric because he’s just not quite himself and she can finally see the lovey dovey cutiepi in him and cannot resist. But it’s not really Eric – it’s just her introduction to the avenue in seeing the real Eric. It’s a plot device to eliminate the bad and get on with the sexy.
As for Bill sitting and watching Sookie get beat to shit – if that actually happens in the AB story, well – I’ll take back every concept I’d ever had on the situation. I just don’t buy that. That’s an Eric-centric book lover’s fantasy.

Lividity-Personally I don’t want to see that on the show, I wouldn’t take great pleasure in such a deceit as standing by and watching something like that happen to a person. I doubt it will be on the show
I agree with the hate though but it’s not just Team Eric. Coming in here first posts are what an evil horrible person Eric is and Sookie will never forgive him for this. He is a bastard, jerk, ahole, every name in the book. If bill was an angel on the show and Sookie had nothing to forgive him about, I would agree but now there is a list we have to keep to see who has done more wrong lol. Well if I had 2 men in my life and they both have a list of things they’ve done wrong to me, I’d tell them both to F off lol. But Eric’s actions are already being judged in this episode and it hasn’t even aired yet. Of course, Eric fans will be looked at as the bad ones when majority in here are Bill fans so when Eric is talked about in a bad way it’s not bad to majority but when Bill is talked about badly there is an uproar. I say if you’re gonna dish it then take it, don’t complain for same behavior you’re displaying. The fandom is full of crazy people for sure on both sides, but really, I think we all can do better. The sites really rock when people say their peace and the other side also says theirs without putting anybody down. It all falls to crap when people just whack on each other because they can.

I don’t think the TV show has said either way… that I know of. Well, I guess they DID imply that if a vamp had your blood they would always be able to sense you.. no word on the attraction bit.
It’s the other way around. If a human has a vamps blood, then the vamp can then sense the human.
Can you imagine if it were the other way around? With some of the vampires feeding on humans left and right, how would they ever be able to live with so many different people’s feelings rushing through them?
I don’t think Eric has ever had Sookie’s blood? She’s only had a couple drops of his…so far…on the show. In the books Bill wasn’t quite so successful at keeping Sookies blood out of Eric.

If he could sense her then he should have known Sookie was in Jackson when he felt her fear at the were bar. And if he is always able to find her then why did he have to ask Cooter where she was? Shouldn’t he have just known? Eric said he would be able to find her wherever she was but that he may not be fast enough. So that implies that it may NOT be permanent if Bill couldn’t find her and Eric could.

I don’t do “fan-fiction”. I don’t believe for a minute Bill set up Sookie. He was just LATE! He felt bad about being late. He apologized and took responsibility.
I also believe Bill fell deeply in love with Sookie…possibly against his better judgment. She’s nothing but Trouble you know!
I have read the book and HATED them and I beleive that Sookie belongs with Eric

Personally, I felt slighted by the absence of Pam in the last episode. I mean really. Would they not show Eric or Bill if they were being tortured for an entire episode? Come ON!

Which is what I thought after I posted that-the series has occured in a time frame of 6 weeks.
I suspect the writers use the blood bond when it fits what they’re trying to do-even if it’s just teasing us, like with Sam’s dream about Bill.

No, not really. Ambigous, maybe. She’s said the bond will fade, if not renewed by swapping blood, and that the strength of the bond can depend on the human/vamp feelings for each other.
Of course in reading her site I also get the impression she finds the carrying-on over the blood to be both amusing and annoying.

Like i said, we don’t know if sookie meant “always” as in always for the rest of her life. Always could mean as in always knowing everything she is feeling while there is a blood bond, so just for that time period he would always know how she feels.
Well…I think the blood bond only works if the bonded do nothing but sit around and think about it. When they get real busy with other things…like their screwed up families…revenge…it doesn’t seem to work too well at all.
Sookie’s first dream of Bill, I wouldn’t put into the sexy category. They didn’t even kiss, she runs to him and tries to make a move and says to her “that’s not why i’m here” I think it was her fear of vamps coming into play. she was attracted to him yes but I think since it was the first vamp she met she didn’t know what to expect from him. It was exciting to hear but dangerous at the same time. That line he says gives it away that her fears were a part of it since what kind of sex dream would that be if you throw yourself at someone and they say that. She also probably wondered does he want her or something else.
She was attracted to him when they first met though so not taking anything away by saying this about her first dream. I won’t comment on love at first sight because I think love at first sight is a crock of shit lol sorry. I think it’s possible to be drawn to somebody when you first meet them and attracted but love in minutes, nope. Before people say anything, this is coming from a person who saw her husband out YEARS before they dated and from the moment she saw him was mesmerized by him and never forgot him. Years later when we met I still remembered years before that when I saw him, remembered what he wore, who he was with, and every detail about that night. But feelings of love after sharing your life with someone is different than the spark you feel just from first sight.
She loves Bill, he loves her so now it will depend if they can work things out. But realistically, in life people love each other, and later on can love someone else, a different type of love. Which SM himself said that Eric will be down the line, a different type of love. Who knows how that will go and in the end who knows who she will end up with.
See and I read your story about your husband and to me that is exactly what I call “love at first sight”. Love grows, love changes and deepens, but it sounds like from the minute you saw your husband you knew he was “the one” even if nothing happened for several years afterwards.
And that is how I view the Sookie/Bill relationship. She knew from the minute she saw him that she wanted him. Even if she was scared as evidenced by the dream – she wanted him. The dream didn’t stop her from sensing him the next night in Merlotte’s and being even MORE drawn to him.
I believe the Sookie can love Bill and still develop feelings for Eric. Especially if it occurs while she and Bill are broken up. But I also believe that she will still consider Bill “the one” for her – even if for some reason they don’t work it out and ends up Eric.. or Alcide… or Sam… or Quinn… or next random hot guy. Someone called it Sookie’s Stud Stable or something like that… so true… the girl has sex on the brain I think, lol.
Please don’t get me wrong, I might not be team Bill but I don’t deny they love each other and I do believe they were attracted to each other since they saw each other. I might say my interpretation of that dream but just know it has always been my interpretation since I first saw that episode and I’ve been watching TB since it aired. I had not read the books and had no clue who Eric even was since he didn’t appear on the show.
I do believe that even if you move on that the person can still hold a special place in your heart. My first love still has to remind me he loves me and I’m married lol. I don’t love him anymore but I will never forget him either. It will always be someone she loves even if the love changes, doesn’t take away from the place they had in your life.
About my husband maybe I knew we should be together, i was out with my first love when I saw him lol so I couldn’t act on it and through the years I would see him around and I was always drawn to him. There was something but I just don’t call it love. I look at how strong the love is after I got to know him for all that he is and there is no comparison. But we all have different views on these things and it’s ok lol
I know there are a long list of negatives for eric, just like bill has few….There is no perfect man! Just because I find eric an untrustworthy, conniving prick, hasnt stopped me being a little curious to see what eric and sookie would be like together. I dont know how it would work given their current turbulent and tense relationship if you can even call it a relationship. Im just curious thats all. Doesnt mean Im team eric, doesnt mean I think eric is the one she is meant to be with and all that nonsense. I would just like to see sookie/eric explored a little!
People debate eric/sookie/bill triangle and over complicate it. Simplify it!!! Does sookie love bill? Yes. Is Sookie curious about Eric? Yes. Is the audience curious about eric and sookie? Yes…Therefore, will it happen? Yes!!!

Jay-you said it perfectly, that is what it comes down to. Even if she were to break up with Bill doesn’t mean that while they were together it was not love or takes anything away from what they shared. Doesn’t mean she has to hate one and love the other, it’s not black and white but lots of gray.
I’m gonna just enjoy it, the complicated love life is much more interesting than the uncomplicated and more fun to watch.
First of all…WTF!! This started out as a spoiler about Eric and QSA! No this section seems to have morphed into some attack on Bill and who is doing more to protect Sookie? Why all of a sudden is Eric in a heated battle with Pope John Paul II for the next sainthood?
Seriously ladies….Eric cares about Sookie? Please. Eric cares about Eric. I’ve said it before but it does bear repeating. Eric is a conniving douchebag. Want it worded better? Eric is a typical Narcissitic Personality.
Eric’s isnt a personality disorder, which could be rationalized by previous abuse or learned behavior, rather it is a character flaw, brought on by conscious choice of action. Eric is selfish, concieted and displays a total lack of empathy. His own father told him he was only interested in himslef and was shocked at his lack of a feeling of responsibilty. Could he have just been a typical selfish , horny, entitled royal, who didnt know better? Sure. But he is a thousand years old. This behavior has brought him money and power. People tend to repeat behavior that works for them. His has worked for him.
Examples; the bullet sucking incident, speed fucking the stripper and then walking up to Sookie with his privates in her face bragging about his prowess at the espense of someone elses. Torturing Lafayette, leaving him to sit in his own filth. This is a man who cares? About himself. Like most narcissitic people Eric has tunnel vision. He see’s what his goal is and goes for it. That’s awesomne in a business man, (Wall Street, AIG, Goldman Sachs) The goal is primary, everything else fades into the periphery. It simply does not command his attention. The goal has his attention. Right now his goal is revenge on KRE. That is everything. Leaving Sookie to her fate while he goes to lull KRE into some false sense of sercurity so he can better exact his revenge is another example. Was he faking for KRE saying that Sookie was very valuable and quite a prize so he can protect her? I dont know. But he could have winked at her when he was in her face or given some kind of a tell ..no one was there they were in a room alone. Verbally they may have been over heard but a facial expression would not have been overheard.
Eric wants Sookie, that much is clear. Why he wants her…lust, her ability and this is very important he may want to have somekind of relationship, but he wants it for what HE CAN GET OUT OF IT. Sookie is an intrument to be used. They people around him are targets and oppurtunities. Maybe he will become fond of her like most people become attached to their pets or cars. Eric is maipulative and cunning , he does not acknowledge the feelings or rights of others. Eric may feel for Sookie but only his feelings are of import, his sadness , his loss. He wants what he want and woe to anyone who gets in the way of the accomplishment of his goals. Will he fuck Bill over for Sookie. Absolutely if he gets the chance. Because he is oblivious and indifferent to any pain he may cause others.
Bill’s shit list with Sookie may grow as I get the feeling what he is about to do will cause a seriuos breach of trust and it should. But from what I can see he is not in his right mind and having been tortured and drained he is not stable or of his right mind. What has Bill done aside from lying to Sookie (no it’s not right)
Sorry ladies computer glitch. Yes Bill has lied and should not have, he was given a chance to come clean season 2 first episode. But he chickened out. All in all he has been kind and thoughtful and good to Sookie. His love is genuine and since he was almost flayed at Lorena’s hand because he wouldnt sell Sookie out. Is Bill perfect? Nooo, but he is not well….. a conniving douchebag.
LOL at the Eric for saint hood. I haven’t seen that many Eric fans defend his actions and nominate him as a hero, he is a vampire, loves being a vampire and his fans like a bad ass who enjoys himself in life. It is the Bill fans who have been excusing every one of his actions to justify an idea that he is better than the rest of the vampires. This season Alan Ball and his writing team have done a very good job of showing us that none of these vampires are good and that when it all comes down to it, they are vampires and in real life you wouldn’t want one of these miserable horrible creatures in your life. So far Godric is the only vampire who has evolved beyond the need to self preserve by taking the lives of others, which is why he’s the only one with enough Balls to meet the sun, and even then it took him long enough, 2000 years.
As for giving a Tell to Sookie, that would defeat the entire purpose of telling her he doesn’t care about her. Eric knows that Sookie is her own worst enemy and runs off at the mouth without engaging her brain before hand. It certainly didn’t help her with the Fellowship of the Sun and it would work even less with the King. Sookie is on her own and hopefully this situation will make her finally rise up and realize that no one is going to come and rescue her, she has to learn to do it herself. Tara did, in the last episode, and re-earned my respect, it’s time for Sookie to do the same.

That was not the look of someone who cares, and there was nothing that showed he had remorse for the way he treated her. AB says that Sookie and Eric will have sex for real on the show, but I don’t understand how she could ever forget that look on his face.
Bill has never treated Sookie like that. Even when he broke off with Sookie over the phone, it was clear that he was only doing it to save her from Lorena and RE. At least his face showed the pain he was feeling over hurting Sookie.

I saw that scene totally differently. It was Eric putting on an ACT for Sookie’s sake…to save Sookie. He wanted to scare her…he wanted her to realize he wouldn’t be SAVING her or Bill. Eric wanted Sookie to understand his agenda came FIRST. His agenda of Saving Pam? Good for Eric. Eric LOVES Pam! Sookie doesn’t know about Pam or Eric’s dilemma. I like the way AB bounces back and forth from book to book…combining characters…plot and sl’s. Fleshing things out. Eric and Sookie didn’t have sex in book three. They came close! But Eric didn’t have this revenge and save Pam sl either. And he NEVER snarled at Sookie and told her he didn’t care. Just that he didn’t LIKE having “feelings”.
I don’t think Eric and Sookie are going to have sex this season either. Come close maybe? Who will put the brakes on? Mutual maybe? With an understanding of unfinished business perhaps?

I’m all about Bill, big time…and well it dosen’t hurt that I adore Steve like there is no one else! because he is simply the BEST.
That being said I’m about over this whole Team thang…..over it. I will still defend Bill to the hilt but I actually don’t hate Eric. Eric is in my mind being Eric, I was able to see through him in the books and I believe AB has as well. Bill isn’t perfect either but Bill has shown without a shadow of a doubt what he is willing to do for Sookie and she for him ( we will see more of this sunday)
I agree with Sassy above…Eric is all about himself, this dosen’t mean he isn’t capable of loving anyone other than Godric but ultimately he is about himself first and foremost. I’m not going to get into it but I do think Bill and Sookie are soul mates and perfectly suited for one another. Eric will be a short lived romance but she will continue to go back to Bill.

I so agree the team thing is sooo Twilight isnt it? While it is fun and I think human nature to pick sides. Zoe ddont get me wrong I love Eric!! He is fun and sexy and you just love to hate him. As far as Bill’s fans excusing him. I was pretty clear that his lying to her about working for QSA was a shitty thing to do. Like most men he took the path of least resistance and chickened out when he had the chance to tell her in Epi 1 Seas2. When she asked him pointedly “is there anything else”? But honestly besides lying to her about why he sought he out in the begininng what else has he done that would require excusing? I think that he was asked to find out what she was and subsequently fell in love. Allan Ball said their love is genuine, so let’s just take that as a given since he is the creator of the show and leave that subject as it is clealry a moot point.
He killed her Uncle Bartlett, wrong…ehh she was pissy, not really mad. Her uncle molested her. As far as I’m concerned good riddance to bad rubbish. He has consistently tried to keep her out of trouble which is a full time job and this season has been tortured as his punishment for trying to keep her safe from Lorena and KRE. He felt bad about for having to turn Jessica, walked into the sun in a a failed attempt to try and save her fron Rene. Bill is tender and loving with her. Treats her like a lady while Eric treats her like a whore. (the sex in the basement, right in front of her). What has he done that requires excusing?
How is it that Eric treated Sookie like a whore, by having enthusiastic sex with Yevetta in the basement of his own club? She went barging into his place demanding answers, he wasn’t over at hers having sex. She has a phone and could have used it to announce her imminent arrival. I guess she was expecting she’d catch him in the act pounding Bill instead.
I have seen endless excuses for how Bill had no choice but to kill the stripper or leaving Tara to certain death because he’s just protecting Sookie. Like somehow protecting Sookie is an excuse for all kinds of horrific behavior.

Very true, both vamps have their good and bad sides. But they are both also very different and I love both of them for different reasons. I find it easier this way for me personally. I do prefer Bill, he is more my type and i typically don’t go for blonds….and Bill/Stephen just does it for me in oh soo many ways.
I acutually like how TB seems to be making it quite equal this season with the boys, Bill does something questionable, Eric does something questionable…..vice versa and so on.
Everything Bill has done thus far as far as killing has been to protect sookie, I don’t think there is an argument about that…except for the stripper…can we say peer pressure! he has had no choice since his kidnapping by RE…when I see Eric fans attacking Bill for everything under the moon its beyond ridiculous, as if they aren’t watching the same show…..I think he is really misunderstood…he has done things that he was left with no choice to do…thus far Eric has had those choices and has also put Bill and Sookie in harms way a great deal of times for his own personal agenda. I think we will continue to see this played out.
What happened with Bill and Lorena though was a huge mistake on Bill’s part, but he maned up and called sookie right away. No secrets there. I have a hunch he may actually be the one to fill her in on why he was in BT…..that would be a twist huh? instead of Eric ratting him out? which also may happen.
Eric needs to pay attention to karma….it can be a bitch when it bites back.

I’m sorry I just don’t feel that what Bill has done for Sookie comes down to the “mission” I think that is actually a small part of the whole story. Once he feel in love with her things took a different route and once it is found out what she is she will be one hot commodity, especially for vamps! Bill will figure this out soon enough…..

Yeah…Sookie has other things on her mind…like staying alive? I’m not going to argue that Bill has done what he has to protect Sookie. That’s clear. Book and show. In the books RE was not interested in Sookie…or Bill, or even QSA, LOL! Love that combination of characters. The King of Arkansas…the King of Mississippi? Franklin Mott and Mikey? Woo Hoo! And the moving forward of WHAT is Sookie? The fairy connection. The Hadley connection. And poor desperate Bill? Learning experience for all the characters this season…LOVE IT!
Zoe he treated her like a whore. Calling it enthusiastic sex is putting lipstick on a pig. He was fucking her, pure and simple. Yes Sookie didnt knock or announce herself. He was in HIS club in the basement, its HIS business what he does there. I agree. But as he was speed fucking the stripper, Sookie walked in he didnt bother to cover himself and he was fresh from the act if you catch my drift and given their disprarate heights his privates were just about at eye level. As far as Bill killing the stripper he didnt do it alone..he was with Lorena and KRE. If I remember correctly KRE said “please join us I insist”. Did Bill go in and get her? Yes he did. KRE mentioned he was a procure for QSA. Which to me sounds like a nice word for a pimp. Anyway..he didnt seem to be in any position to argue. Same for the situation with Tara. KRE was standing right there, Talbot, guards, and Lorena. Was Bill supposed to be a one man vampire super ninja taking all of them on?
Is Bill perfect? Hell No. He’s a fallible man. He has made bad decisions about what is best for Sookie. But her best interest is at heart and Isabella above is right. Bill is misunderstood. Sadly moslty by himself. Dark and Light exist in all of us…and Karma will kick your ass if you let the dark rule the day. Bill is raging against the dark.
I still don’t get how it’s treating Sookie like a whore in the basement. I must have missed that line where he said “touch it or suck it, your choice”. And why should the man be modest, he’s over 1000 years old and proud of what he’s got. It’s Sookie who made herself look like the whore, demanding $10,000 for having to see it, oh no wait, that was for her job in Dallas, my bad.
At the end of the day, everything Bill has done, he really didn’t have to do. The Magister offered him the choice of 5 years in a coffin or procreating another vampire. He chose the easier option for himself and then dumped Jessica on Eric and Pam because she was just too much trouble in addition to looking after Sookie. I can’t wait till we get to find out what the extent of QSA’s demands are of Bill and how much of any of his relationship with Sookie has come out of his “free choice”. Too me it doesn’t look like these vampires always have to do the bidding of their Sovereign, since we have been shown they can just run off to another state and pledge their allegiance to someone who sees things more their way.
And Bill did look like quite the ninja jumping on KRE’s shoulders. Why didn’t he just run out the back door of the strip club and take Sookie to Timbuktu?
