THE CASTING COUCH

lucy2 258x300

British actress, Lucy Griffiths has been cast in True Blood season 5 as Nora.

Described as being a beautiful and intelligent woman who plays a double agent within the Vampire Authority, Nora not only has a big history with Eric, she’s his sister! Nora will be a series regular and might even show a little skin, probably not as often as her brother Eric, but I sense nobody has any issue with that!

In addition to being intelligent, intimidating, cool under pressure and a very good liar, Nora loves Eric deeply, but has dedicated her life to a higher purpose.

Dale Dickey

A new werewolf mother has been cast for True Blood Season 5, and she’s not Alcide’s mum. Dale Dickey (who was mostly known for her roles on My Name is Earl and Winter’s Bone) has been cast as Annie, the mother of dead wolfpack leader Marcus.

Powerful and respected within the pack due to her late son’s position, Annie is determined to perform a particular ritual. Might said ritual involve making Alcide pay for whacking her demon spawn?

valentina cervi TVline reports that Italian actress Valentina Cervi is joining True Blood‘s upcoming fifth season as a series regular, giving life to Salome, an ancient vampire who is a world class seductress and fiercely intelligent. Can’t wait for season 5 why does it have to take a year for a next season to come sometimes when it takes so long you lose your viewers I love this movie Love to see Eric and sookie together however don’t like the Gay scenes

  3. kay says:

  4. Cloes says:

  5. Georgiana says:

I have a chance to be part from True Blood season 5 team?

  6. Chris Dahl says:

I’m SO stoked because Chris Meloni is joining the cast. I was devastated when he quit Law & Order SVU! He really made that show. He used to be in OZ on HBO and it was some time before I could accept him as a police officer not a wildly crazed criminal!!! I was unable to watch Season 4 couldn’t afford HBO or anything! My computer wouldn’t allow me to watch it online either so I’m anxiously awaiting for it to come on video!!!! It’s kinda fun to be able to watch it all at once. The only problem I have is they have gone SO FAR from the books. Ms Harris truly is a gifted writer and her books are really perfection for me. I think Alan Ball is a unreal also, BUT remember the say why fix something that’s not broke? I think it fits here. But I’ll hold any comments till I see it. The main reason is a friend of mine who also loves the books was thrilled with this season (but not as much as the past ones – but still thrilled). I also have to say I lost the web site when my computer crashed but I found it tonight due to the post. Thanx and I’ll be back you guys are awesome!!

  7. Aggie says:

Great news about Chris Meloni joining the True Blood family, Law and Order SVU is not the same without him so not only do we get to see him as a vampire maybe we will get to see MORE of him. :)
Can’t wait for June been watching the DVD’s of past seasons and let me tell you I can never get to much of seeing Eric. 2012 is going to be a great year for True Blood, but let’s not lose any of the main crew. I hope Eric and Sookie will still have feelings pumping for each other. You also need to get Jason back on track, I miss his wisps of wisdom. Thanx for all the past seasons and lets hope for many more.

  8. Rina says:

    S5. Waiting sucks!

  9. MLionheart says:

Huh. Seems they’re making the whole “what happened to my sister Debbie” plot over to “what happened to Marcus.” ok. I don’t recall a Salome in the books, but still.. can’t wait for Season 5. I do hope they write Sookie better in this season. I mean this whole thing was supposed to be from Sookie’s standpoint wasn’t it? How about the faeries?? Will we see Sookie’s great(x?) grand dad?

    • Katie says:

      @ MLionheart

Totally Agree! I really curious as to how they plan on doing all this! The whole thing with Debbie’s sister doesn’t even seem to be on the menu! I thought that it was a bit soon to bring in the whole fairy thing. Didn’t that happen in like book 6 or 7? Some friends and I actually got to meet Charlaine Harris and she said if they did bring the great(and so on) grand dad into the series that her choice would be David Bowie. I could see that. But there are a serious amount of questions going on here!

    • TraceElement says:

Salome was Mickey’s maker, who was the vamp boyfriend of Tara. A person mentioned only, since Eric talked to her on the phone in Sookie’s presence.

  10. Katie says:

They killed Claudine way too soon to make most if the story lines work!!!

  11. WHY CANT I BE CASTED IN TRUE BLOOD????????????

  12. Aim4theNeck says:

    What about QUINN?

  13. Heather.
    Sing. Talk. Bite.

  14. maru says:

    there’s a vampire kid…

  15. TraceElement says:

ITs worth noting that except for Claude, Sookie’s Cousin in the books, and housemate, NONE of the characters are from the book. There is no Quinn, no Amelia, no Sandra (Debbies sister), no Neale (great grandfather), no Tray, no Catamaindes the Lawyer, no Charles Twilling (vampire), And i could go on. In the past, as each season has steered more from the books to some extent, at least you got to see the characters from the book. Unless they are NOT releasing the names of the new characters that came from the books (Which I doubt somehow), then Seaon 5 will have basically nothing to do with DEAD AS A DOORNAIL. Maybe that will be taking this show so far away from the books, that little will be left that reminds us of Charlaine’s Sookie. I feel that even if they do want to move the plot away from whats going on in the books, they should AT LEAST ground it with the characters, and the vaguest of plot outlines from the book. If there’s nothing from the books, a lot of book fans will get too iritated to watch. TooBad.

  16. Elizabeth says:

    where is QUINN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Stephanie says:

Actually, Claudine was killed. Not Claudette. Look at the last cast member on this list. I am thrilled!! I had no understanding of the Claudine character. I was under the impression she was a quickly done in version of Claudette (and disappointed by it) but I am oh so glad to be wrong! It does appear they’re switching out Debbie for Marcus, though I did see news sometime ago that roles for Debbies parents and sister had been cast. It seems they have done each season, aside from the first, as a mix of several different books. It is believed the child vampire in season 5 is a version of Alexi from Dead in the Family. Perhaps they will bring Quinn and Great Grandfather in at some point. With Claudette & Claude just being introduced, it gives us some time. I don’t really mind that the show is different. I know what happens in the books and I don’t need to see it portrayed, word for word. I think of it as “more bang for your buck”. I do wish they would hang closer to the feeling and occasional themes. I am a monster fan of this show but season 4 in no way felt right. It left me disappointed. Not anywhere near disappointed enough to stop watching.

  18. Jeni says:

I’m disappointed not to see Quinn and Amelia. I really, really liked Amelia, but she doesn’t seem to be appearing. I was also hoping to see Catamaindes and the half-demon girls. I’m not surprised that Charles Twining won’t be in there because of the plot changes from season 1 (and the killing of Longshadow), Charles doesn’t have any purpose in the show. But QUINN? I’m sure they are teasing us!!?!?! How can they not put a super sexy were-tiger in there?

    • Jeni says:

I do think it’s okay that they aren’t following the book exactly, but I just want the characters to be the same at least. Also, didn’t Marcus die in the 4th season? I don’t really remember. I’m reading the series not, and I sometimes get confused on what happens in the book and the show. (I should have waited to read the books…it’s only confusing me!)
