Absolutely with you on this point, ZZ. I think we are in total agreement about wanting more, much more, of the political (and social) aspect of the TB universe. It’s not the romance or the steamy sex or the present-day setting – it’s the out-of-the-coffin context that makes TB unique among vampire tales both classic and contemporary.
(And the mind-boggling twist that elevates it to gourmet popcorn for smart people ;-) Just IMO, of course)
