And over at the Scotland Daily Record they have a little article with comments from Sam Trammell & Michelle Forbes about season 2. Nothing really new for us, but some interesting comments. I’ve included some of them below:

Sam Trammell

“Season two is really fantastic, it’s better than season one and is very exciting and very fast paced. I don’t know why it has become so successful – it must be down to the writing of Alan Ball (the executive producer and creator of the show) but none of us realised it would be this big and especially with the second season which became so popular.

“It’s different, it’s scary, it’s serious, it’s funny, it’s sexy, it’s bloody. It bridges so many different genres and there is nothing else like it on television.

“Not many programmes can mix the fantastical with very good drama but this has both, with social commentary and relationships as well as fantasy and these great creatures.”

“When I first read the script, I didn’t know about him being a shape-shifter. But when l found out, I was very interested but l didn’t realise l’d spend quite so much time naked.

“When you work for HBO, you have to sign a nudity waiver that says you will at least show your backside, so l knew there’d be a little but not as much as I did.

“It’s fun turning into dogs. I love dogs, and l have a little West Highland Terrier called Flossy – they’re the best, so smart.

“She is very helpful. In one scene last season, I had to sniff someone’s bed like a dog would, so l was rolling around on the bed naked, and l watched the dog to see how she would do it and got some good tips.”

Michelle Forbes

“I’ve never made such a dramatic debut in my life – you can’t ask for much more than being asked to make an entrance naked, standing in the middle of the road, with a pig.

“But it was a great way to start and because I came in at the end of the season and have been looking forward to the second series, I hadn’t seen the show beforehand or read the books, so I was clueless.

“It’s a great place to work, it’s such a rich and complex world and so much fun that it was easy to get used to it.

“Last time, everyone was introduced to the beautiful, diverse and quirky little town but the second season blows up into three different stories and my character Maryann is a bigpart of one of them.

“We see Bill and Sookie heading off to Dallas in one story, then there is the (anti-vampire church) Fellowship of the Sun storyline and then we have Maryann – there’s an extraordinary amount of things happening in season two, it’s so beautiful, entertaining and exciting.”

  1. Lizzie says:

Nice interviews! So, they have to sign a nudity waiver and must show at least their backside!! We did see Stephen’s bum cheeks quite a few times!

Also, Sam did turn around Dawn’s bed like a dog, sniffing. but he was not naked!
