rutina21 season 3 rutina wesley true blood cast james frain Rutina Wesley recently did an interview with Sci Fi Magazine (which will be on the newsstands on June 1st). Kathie Huddleston posted parts of the exclusive interview over on her blog.

Says Rutina, “I get overwhelmed and I cry every now and now ‘cause I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’m on TV. I can’t believe people are enjoying my work. I mean this is what I went to school for. This is what I wanted, and I’m actually getting to do what I love. And when you get to do your passion, what you want to do, it’s incredible because there are a lot of people who actually don’t get to do what they want to do. So I’m incredibly thankful and grateful and appreciative of this job and of the show. It’s really great.”

KATHIE: Your character gets a new romantic interest this season with the vampire Franklin Mott, played by James Frain. How would you describe the character?

RUTINA: Yeah, I say tall, dark and handsome with an emphasis on dark. I’ll say that.

KATHIE: Tara’s never been pro-vampire in the past.

RUTINA: No, not at all… You’re gonna see some crazy stuff between the two of them, and sometimes Tara is… it’s like sometimes it’s by choice and sometimes maybe it’s not so much by choice. So she gets wrapped up in him, and it’s gonna be crazy… I mean he’s very interesting kind of crazy psychotic at some times.

I am lookin’ forward to seein’ Tara gettin’ it on with a vamp. Oh yes. I truly enjoy the character and Rutina does her so well.

  3. Aemac says:

I’m also looking forward to Tara’s story line this year. I think Franklin Mott’s gonna to be fun.

  4. Cranky says:

I swear…Alan Ball is a genius at casting. Tara was such a “nothing” character in the books…on the show Rutina Rules! I’m glad she’s not taking her success for granted.

I’m with ya Cranky – Tara is one of my favorite characters. But man, I hated that Eggs relationship – hope this Franklin Mott character can give her more chance to shine. Even if he is a very very baaaad vamp.

      • Cranky says:

The show needs some very very BAAAAAAAAAD vamps…to make Eric look like the prince he truly is.

      • NotHoney says:

I am forever indebted to the Stackhouse boy for shooting Eggs. If ever a character needed a quick death, it was Eggs.

        • Tiffany says:

ahhhhhhmen to that one… the tara/eggs relationship seriously bored the tears out of me.. He was a goodlooking guy granted, but I don’t know , that character was totally bland. I can’t get over how steaming hot it’ll be with james frain in the lineup as her new dark admirer ..

    I LOVE Tara!
But I really hated that Eggs relationship as well. However, this storyline looks AWESOME!
I can’t believe AB got James Frain to play Franklin – I loved him in the Tudors!
He does seductive but evil very well. Can’t wait for S3!

  6. JonDoe says:

Tara is one of the strongest characters on the Show, aside from Jason, Lafayette and Bill. I can’t wait to see where Alan takes this storyline! James Frain is a amazing actor and so is Rutina.
Plus, I sure the love scenes between these two are going to be steamy!!

  7. wiwa says:

Tara is one of my favourites for sure, I hope she’s more connected to the main storyline this year. Rutina’s a wonderful actress.

  8. lizzie1701 says:

I hope we get S1 Tara back this season!
