Suck it Up Again, Sam ;)

Sam Trammell was the highlight of today´s events at RingCon. He finally made it to the convention in Bonn, Germany, today and delighted True Blood fans (including the MC of the event, Mark Ferguson who said that he was a part of RingCon for the past 10 years, but this is the first year he was coming as a fan because he loves True Blood so much).

These are some of the highlights from the panel, if you expect any spoiler you’ll be let down since German fans had not seen yet Season 4 and the guests are being very respectful with that.

• I got to ask one of the fan questions today, but it was a little tricky to ask because not all of the fans attending have been fortunate enough to see all four seasons of the show and I didn’t want to give any spoilers away. I told him about the fabulous job he did playing “someone else playing him” and asked him what he did to prepare for it. Since we all know it was Sam playing Tommy playing Sam, there are no spoilers for us. He said he watched a lot of Marshall Allman´s clips as Tommy, and spent time with him and that it was fun to play and one of his favorite things to do on the show.
• Sam talked about being a first-time dad with his twin boys and how hard it was when the children shape-shift into animals.
• He mentioned how he likes being a bartender on the show and having his own bar (he feels powerful). Also, if you apply for a job in Merlotte’s you’ll have sex with him or end up killed (or both!)
• He doesn´t mind being naked on the show because he has done nudity on Broadway, but he doesn´t like being shirtless in scenes with Ryan Kwanten or Joe Manganiello. Also, he was reminded that one day his children will grow up and see the show and that could cause some very funny moments.
• He talked about the shirtless scene between him and Stephen in the Season 3 premiere when his character dreams about Bill. He told a funny story how Stephen and him played around and made their lighting stand-ins get closer and closer and then told them to kiss while waiting to film the scene.
• He said one of his favorite friends on the show is Todd Lowe because he always does bizarre things that make him laugh.
• He talked about how he remembered Anna Paquin being the little cute girl on The Piano and how awkward was kissing her now that she’s all grown up, which brought laughs all around.
