Poor Tina the cat! You were most memorable for being witness to Sookie’s late-night Bill fantasies, and sadly, your death was yet another wrong-place/wrong-time, just like Gran. Rene’s rage against women who like vampires needed satiating, and when he came to the house when Sookie and Bill were out, you lost your head. After the trauma of the Longshadow staking, Sookie ended up covered in a blood (again) when she turned on the ceiling fan. Fortunately, Sookie never learned the gruesome details, but I like to think it was quick and painless for you (although I strongly suspect that it wasn’t). Your death reopened the unhealed wounds of Gran’s murder, and you were yet another innocent lost because of bigotry. While no one misses Rene, I bet Sookie really misses you. Rest in peace, Tina the cat.
