Sookie Defending Bill from the Rats
No one will mourn the loss of such backwoods, drug-addicted/peddling low-life scum, so appropriately nicknamed the Rats. I’m fairly certain not even Hoyt could find redemption in these two (although he did buy weed from them), who literally sucked the life out of the people around them.
Deliciously trashy, complete with mental thoughts about onion-ring induced runs and kicking dogs, we have them to thank for Bill and Sookie’s star-crossed introduction. Killed for committing the unforgivable offense of Crimes Against Sookie, they let us glimpse a darker side of gentlemanly Bill (and foretold of Sookie’s other-worldly abilities).
I don’t think they deserve it, but in the interest of letting sleeping rats lie: Rest in peace.
OK Now I Know You have Lost It!! Seriously!! Why ANYONE would Feel Anything but Contempt for these horrible,low-life drainers and gutter trash is beyond Me!! However, A good article none the less.
If it wasnt for this particular storyline Then maybe viewers would not know how wicked these 2 creeps were.
I like it that Even in the Pilot epiode, AB,A Very Gifted Writer, Shows us that the “monsters” among us are Human and Not neccesarily Supe! Everyone was afraid of Bill and yet the ones they should have reviled the Most were Mack and Denise..Great Point…Good Writing!! I don’t like the Rattrays..Not 1 bit! But Now you have thinking about S1 again and how Good it Was!! Just Great Writing and the chemistry between AP and SM Fantastic!! The whole dynamic Sookie Bill Sam Tara Was Something Else! LOL And Who could forget the whole Bill-Sookie-Sam thing Or the turning of Jessica??

Bah. It’s a slow news day. I’m ok with a little stroll down memory lane every few days. I have fond memories of season 1, like so many of you. But hell yeah, Rattrays were trash, I don’t think anyone is denying that.

I love the eulogies, I think they are clever and fun and a hell of a lot more entertaining than another re-hashed article about Stephen Moyer’s dog or how Alex S. feels about naked scenes. THAT’S what needs to take a break, imo. Some folks just don’t appreciate tongue-in-cheek humor, perhaps it comes with age. :-)

I’d Much Rather read things like This…A Nice little diversion! Although I’ll admit I never seem to tire of reading about Kristen,Deborah,Sam or Joe. Aw, I kind of liked Amy. She really seemed to care about Jason, although her V and vampire issues did make her a little too unstable to be a long-term love interest. She was a heckuva lot more interesting than Crystal!

This is a Thinking Truebie’s Site, intelligent and inventive and articulate and – never least – amusing. The obits are a manifestation of all these qualities. And they are utterly scrumptious. Ah The Rats – such an appropriate name! I shed no tears at their death, and I wonder if Hoyt ever found a new weed connection, lol, but I do thank them for bringing Bill and Sookie together.
I love these obits latbfan! I can’t wait to read both Amy’s and Eddie’s – maybe it can be a dual obit?? I agree with TBObsessed – Amy was sort of annoying, but I did enjoy her love and faith in jason, and she most definitely was better than Crystal! And poor Vampire Eddie – he just wanted a little love and peace. Too bad Amy’s craziness ultimately resulted in his death.
Thanks to everyone who jumped in there to defend me, although it wasn’t necessary. I was out of town and didn’t even read the nay-sayers until just now. :-) And if people don’t like something, that’s fine by me. I appreciate their taking the time to read and comment about how they don’t like it. Feedback of any kind is useful. Sorry to those of you who don’t like my little project, but I’m going to keep at it.
So yes, there will be a RIP for EVERYONE who’s died. We’re trickling them out, but every last person who’s died since the beginning of the show, good or bad, minor or huge or forgettable, will have their final moment in the spotlight. That’s lots and lots of obituaries.
