Corbett and Michelle Stackhouse

Corbett (son of Adele Hale Stackhouse and Earl Stackhouse) and Michelle Stackhouse were Sookie and Jason’s parents. From what we know, like Jason, Corbett did not inherit any supernatural powers. The family built and lived in the house Jason would come to inhabit, on the outskirts of Bon Temps. Hardworking, they struggled to make ends meet and relied on Adele for help. Although Sookie’s power frightened them, they searched for a reasonable medical explanation for Sookie’s telepathy, and they were not convinced into believing the professional opinion that she was merely “observant.”

Corbett and Michelle died in a flash flood when Jason was nearly 11 and Sookie almost 8 (both children were staying with Gran and were spared). Believed to have drowned when their truck was swept off a bridge, their deaths kept Sookie from learning how to swim. Recent revelations by Claudine have suggested that the “accident” was anything but and drowning was not the cause of death. Knowing Sookie, she’ll quickly get to the bottom of the mystery.

Rest in peace, Corbett and Michelle.

So Many questions! Were These her parents?? Her “real” parents?? They seem human…If They WERE her Real parents then why does she have NO blood type?? (suggestive of a crude “Supe” nature??) Just How much fae blood does she have?? Claudine said that the “Water” did NOT kill her parents? Then WHAT Did?
Was it Bill? QSA? one of her “minions”? Another vampire?? Someone has to know Something!!
As to her parents,Michelle and Corbett? Which one had the “gift” was it her Father??
By the way, Just How many kids did Adele and Earle have?? Was Corbett their Only child? Did another die prematurely?? Did a supe vamp/were/fae kill him/her??
Whats the story?? WHY IS Sookie the way she is?? WHAT is she?? NOW I’m as curious as Maryann,Bill And Lorena!! What Are YOU?? We NEED to have More backstory here!! Did Bill kill her parents??
Did a vampire/were/fae murder Them and deliberately MAKE IT LOOK like an accident??
Somethingt tells me when it comes to the Stackhouse family theres More there than meets the eye!!

  2. antonio el hombre lobo says:

Just WHO killed her parents?? If it Wasnt a “flash flood” then what the hell was it??
Here is another theory….A longshot~~~sounds like it came out of he Sopranos but here goes….
Could it be that Corbett was getting a little too chummy with the Vampire sect? Could it be that he was ready to “spill the beans” about his family “gift” to SA or Another Vampire….Maybe Eric and he was murdered by a Fae to “silence” him?? Could it be that Sookie’s parents Knew that they were Not her Real parents and threatened to expose the truth and were “Silenced” by eitther the fae or SA??
My sister seems to think that maybe QSA is her REAL mother Or Sister and Does NOT want That Made public knowledge!! My Sister Also thinks that SA was once a fae who turned bad! She sold herself to a vamp in exchange for power! These theories are ALL very interesting!! We’ll have to see just HOW all of this plays out!!

I don’t know about all this, but does anyone know how/why QSA got her position as queen? I mean as Russell says, she is no queen, and I agree with him. She seems really immature to have risen to that position on her own. I mean really, lotto scratchers as a way of making income? Really QSA?

The only thing I can tell you Antonio and this may be a spoiler and it may not be a spoiler, is what happened in the books. In the books the fae killed the parents and not a natural flash flood.

    • antonio el hombre lobo says:

Thanks Aemac! That explains a Lot!! Now WHY did the Fae kill her parents?? Another thing entirely huh?
1 Question if the Fae killed her parents then Why would she make it seem like Bill was the “darkness” they feared?? This is just SO Weird and yet Intrigueing!! Thanks again!! :)

      • Zazazu says:

Telling you the answer to that would be revealing a ton about what ends up happening in the books, and, potentially, the tv series.

As for fae blood, it can show itself in different ways. Jason has his own “talents”. So did Sookie’s dad.

  4. Tracy says:

It’s so hard having read the books and knowing the answers to these questions…my DH watches the show with me and I sometimes get this look on my face and he yells…DON’T TELL ME! So I don’t ;) No spoiler alert here needed here…I’ll be waiting just like everyone else to see how True Blood interprets the death of Sookie and Jason’s parents.

Having read the books can only help you so far. I remember a bunch of people swearing up and down that Lafayette was dead. Utterly and completely dead – written right there in the books. See? Too big of a thing to change. And then? Well… we all know what happened. From that moment on, I knew that just reading the books wasn’t going to help us 100% of the time on this show. For this I am grateful. I am also grateful we don’t have to see Bubba.

Y’know, I’m reminded of yet another ST:NG episode about a boy who’s parents were killed when a “freak” tornado got through earth’s weather protection thingy. The boy was one of the Q, and so were his parents but they were living as humans which the other Q did not like so they were killed and made to look like a weather accident.

        • latbfan says:

NotHoney, I remember that one. It’s a girl, not a boy. Blondie, who thought she wanted to be a doctor, until she realized she could be master of the universe. Can’t say I blame her for the career switch… :-)

        • latbfan says:

NotHoney, true story (that I would never confess to if you knew who I really was): in college, I chose a random class (like pointed to my schedule with my eyes closed) and would only speak if I could preface the class-related comment to something that happened on TNG. It’s really not hard. That show covered a lot of ground… I admit that some of the references were tied in better than others, but it’s possible. For an entire semester… (yes, I’m a nerd)

          • NotHoney says:

LOL! Your random class selection sounded better than mine: History of the Reformation.

          • antonio el hombre lobo says:

You’re NOT a Nerd!! I liked TNG Too! I used to watch it a lot when it was on broadcast Tv!! I liked Warf and Data I also liked Captain Picard! Jonathan Frakes…Foget His character’s name and Marina Sirtis and the Dr. what Her name ?? See Im a Geek,Too!! LOL :)

      • MLionheart says:

I wanna see Bubba!! LOL I read all the books including this year’s number 11. I’m very excited to see if Niall will be in Season 5 bec Alan sure did pave that road with Maur… some’n or other.. that fairy Andy Bellefleur was screwin with… that makes me think we’re going to have a Fae War in Season 5. Poor Sookie :(

thanks for yet another lovely eulogy latbfan. Since you’re covering so much (graveyard) ground, are you also planning to give maryanne, daphne, rené and voodoo-mama miss jenette your fabulous send-offs, securing them a spot in the TB pantheon?

I am aching to read Godric’s!!!!

    • Lividity says:

They’ll all be covered… eventually. latbfan has been digging up (heh) all the relevant info on all our dearly departed. I swear, there’s graveyard dirt all over the Nest’s break room.

      • latbfan says:

*latbfan brushes the dirt from her bottom and washes her hands in the Nest’s break-room sink*

Never fear! latbfan is on a mission! And yes, the plan is to unearth (ha ha) everyone. Absolutely everyone. So stay tuned for all our favorite (and not so favorite, some not even memorable) dearly-departeds.

        • gattopardo says:

oh latbfan, you’re my hero. If you need a mole to go diggin’ for you, I’m your girl. Remember that as you get down and dirty sieving through your material. It is so good of you to be bringing back our ghosts of characters past and of course, you being you, you’ll leave no tombstone unturned.

  6. Sarah UK says:

It will be interesting to see how this plays out on screen as opposed to the books and what AB’s take on this will be – probably totally different to what we may be expecting !!

  7. Abbey Trewavas says:

Vampires can’t have biological children, they can only have them while they are still Human and QSA is about 1000 years old, so she can’t be Sookies mother. Sookies parents were killed by Water sprites because in the books the water fae and Sky Fae hate each other and Corbett was part sky Fae so the water sprites killed them by drowning them. Corbett and Michelle Stackhouse were Sookie and Jason’s real parents they just didn’t know that because sookie was part Fae that she could read minds.

    • MLionheart says:

and Adele Stackhouse never revealed to her children that they were a bit of Fae… ALL of them had a little fairy blood in them. How Adele got that bit of fairy in her children – that’s something everyone else will have to read for themselves. And just as some genes skip generations, it’s the same with Fae “powers” and abilities. IDK if anyone knows yet just HOW Sookie got that little telepathy skill. It’s not from her Fae blood, or the fairies I can tell you right now. Read Dead Reckoning.

Abby – even tho this is a reply to you, I’m addressing everyone. Sorry about that. This is more like a continuation to your post.

Why is his old high school coach trying to make money off of him now? Kind of stingy, don’t you think?
