Calvin Norris
Hotshot is a hot mess. The community doesn’t have a family tree, or even a considerably less-respectable family bush. Inbred Hotshot is the equivalent of genetic ground-cover (the ugly, weedy kind), and at the heart of it all was Calvin Norris. Cruel, abusive, meth-cooking Calvin was the mayor, or leader, or maybe just the father/uncle/cousin of all the residents. One could argue he was a man stuck in a bad place, trying his best to keep the Hotshot secret, but in all honesty, we didn’t see anything redeemable in the man. He was cruel and his only motivation seemed to be making more panthers. Being shot in the face by his son/nephew Felton so soon after being miraculously healed was bad luck for him, but good for the rest of Hotshot. And his son/nephew/cousin Beauford (or maybe it was Eddy-boy) went down with him, and Crystal is probably the only one who will miss the trashy S.O.B.s. Rest in peace, Hotshot panthers.

Though I suspect the wardrobe people might have had a bit of fun making them disgusting.
Just gonna say it….Calvin being shot in the head was, for me, symbolic of the mass slaughter of a place, Hot Shot, I had looked forward to seeing played out in TB.
We got a pale and pitiful substitute so RIP faux Calvin. Maybe in your wake your community will become what millions once hoped it would be…..not great, not perfect but better. Amen Uncle-Daddy!

I was expecting a lot more from this character having read the books and his important role within them – but feel seriously short-changed by what we got ! RIP Calvin …
Calvin was one of the best characters in the books and one of the worst portrayed in the show. Whoever changed the concept of Calvin Norris really dropped the ball on this.

I don’t believe Calvin is dead…he plays too large a role in future books, which is what the series is based on, though very loosely…so I’m thinking he’s merely wounded, as he is also a supe…and he is the one that saves Jason from the werepanther that turned him…opps…did I just spoil something for you non-book readers?…too bad…you should read up…then you’ll have as hard a time deciding which you like better…the show or the books…as I do… :o<
It’s too bad they did this to his role. Calvin’s role in the books were much more than this. Oh well. It’s Alan’s Ball after all (pun intended:). RIP Calvin Norris – head of the panther pack.
Honestly I agree, I was pretty ticked that they took Calvins role away. He played such a huge roll in more then one book…Alan Ball better have a good reason for it…
