“At her core she’s lonely and heartbroken because she so strongly loved Bill,” said True Blood’s Mariana Klaveno in a recent interview:
Speaking to TV Guide, Klaveno explained that Lorena still longs to be in a relationship with Bill (Stephen Moyer).
She said: “At her core she’s lonely and heartbroken because she so strongly loved Bill.”
Klaveno also suggested that Lorena will clash with Bill’s current partner Sookie, played by Anna Paquin.
“It’s fair to say Lorena and Sookie will exchange words,” she said. “She’ll show a few different sides of herself this season that may surprise people.”

I just can’t help but like lorena! I want so bad to dislike her but I just can’t! And she has a great fashion sense!

I love Lorena. I really like how Mariana play her character, faaaar interesting in the series than in the book.
I love Lorena;) or.. I love to hate her! I couldn’t stand her character in season 1&2, but after those few scenes in season 3, she’s totally won me over. Nice job AB ;) and of course MK for her brilliant portrayal!!

I love Lorena, thanks to Mariana K. Not sure I would feel the same if the role had gone to another actor. I hope we will get more of her backstory. I find her much more interesting, in a sad twisted way, than Sam’s family or Jason’s PTSD.
Oh, may I also add that I’m excited to learn that Lorena and Sookie will “have words” once again. That scene last season between the two of them was one of the highlights of the entire season. Just as long as Sookie doesn’t say “I staked the b*tch” and nothing else. Please AB, don’t let that happen.
Yes! Yes! Yes! to what everyone has said here. I adore Lorena and I completely agree that much of that has to do with MK’s portrayal of her. In an already gorgeous, talented cast, she stands out and lights up every scene she’s in. Though fear she may meet her end this season (because Bill and Sookie will never have any peace if not), I hope this is just the beginning of a long, successful career for Mariana
I go back and forth with Lorena but after what I’ve seen in the last two eps? I hope she dies in a fire.
I don’t like Lorena. At all. Which means Mariana is doing an excellent job.
I don’t like Lorena either and I hope the show follows the book and Sookie stakes her.
MK does good work as Lorena and while I wish her well in her acting endeavors, I’m counting down the days until Lorena gets a punch in the face and/or a stake through her heart :-)
I have a sneaking admiration for Lorena too even if she is a schemimg bitch . Would love to meet MK at a convention being held in the UK later this year but will be abroad on holiday at that time !
