True Blood News - Season 4 news and spoilers

True Blood is adding another character to the mix this season. Something tells me he’s going to give Bill & Eric some trouble…

Deadline is reporting that Peter Mensah has signed on for the fifth season of “True Blood” as Kibwe, a Chancellor for the Authority. The story notes that Kibwe hails from Africa and that he is working towards “mainstreaming” the Authority.

Mensah is currently best known as Oenomaus on “Spartacus: Vengeance” and the preceding season and prequel on Starz, Mensah has also appeared in several TV series, including “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” “The Pretender,” “Witchblade,” “Relic Hunter” and “Highlander: The Raven.” Mensah has also appeared in the films “300,” “Hidalgo,” “Avatar” and “Tears of The Sun.”

Alexander Skarsgård was in New York all weekend going to NY Fashion Week parties, checking out a show of The Kills and even catching a NY Rangers game yesterday. But what really gets notice is he got to help ring the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange this morning for Hasbro which will be promoting the Hell out of Battleship this year. Peter Berg who directed Battleship was also on hand.

Janina Gavankar hit the red carpet of the  54th annual Grammy Awards wearing a white hot dress by Gaurav Gupta.  If you didn’t know, Janina is a classically-trained musician who used to be apart of a musical group signed to Universal Records and did a pretty cool remake of Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown.” For any fashionistas out there, you get the full look at her dress over at E!Online’s Glam Cam.

Joe Manganiello attended Claire’s Place Foundation’s “A Day At the Beach” family event in Santa Monica yesterday (2/11/12). Claire Wineland is a family friend of Joe’s and he was there to help lend support and raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research.Claire is an amazing 13 year old young lady who has Cystic Fibrosis, a recessive genetic disease affecting most critically the lungs, and also thepancreas, liver, and intestine.

Joe told to Barbara  that Season 5 of True Blood is one that will have more of his character Alcide,  and also a season that will bring love for Alcide .It will also be one of a lot for his character to deal with after abjuring Debbie and those emotions.

According to Screen Daily, Cargo Entertainment has taken on Black Wings Has My Angel, set to star Anna Paquin, Tom Hiddleston and Elijah Wood.

The story is about an escaped convict and high-class call girl whose lives are changed by an armored car heist. The shoot will start in September for producers Christopher Peditto, Anthony Moody and Wood.

– What:  Global branded play company Hasbro will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square to celebrate the upcoming release of Universal Pictures’ epic action-adventure BATTLESHIP, inspired by Hasbro’s classic naval combat game.

In honor of the occasion, Brian Goldner, Hasbro President & CEO, along with BATTLESHIP’s director, Peter Berg, and one of the film’s stars, Alexander Skarsgård, will ring the opening bell. BATTLESHIP opens in theaters on May 18, 2012.
