Wow Sookie is so much cooler this time! Am I the only one concerned about the Tara storyline? :/ I havent read book 3 but man, that relationship seems awkward. Does he really have to lick her face? Is that considered sexy? Oh well, to each their own. Trailer looks fiiine, one thing that worries me is that there is a major focus on sexual tete-a-tetes. We all appreciate the sexiness of TB; but there’s sexy and there’s “sexy”. The MaryAnn orgy obscenities last year were just..eh. Awkward. Funny sometimes. A bit of sophisticated storyline is always nice, random vampire bdsm sex attack is not always quite as nice not even for the chock factor. But Im all for the more evaluated intrigues of homo Sam-Bill, the homo vampires (dont ask I just find it more intriguing story-wise) and Eric-sookie sexual tension. I love badass Eric and how he is all dark this time (though with cracks I hope.)
I really feel for Bill in this trailer! I really like him and Moyer’s portrayal although Eric is my main man. This is gonna be interesting..

I think this is going to be hard year to watch for so many of the characters. Tara, Bill, maybe Sookie and Russell.
I’m all for exciting and edge of the seat fun, but I’m a romantic at heart. I don’t know how I feel about a lot of this.
The riding habit bothers me, Russell’s not the only one that wears one, Talbot does too.
On a happy note Jason will give us more fodder for giggles. “Santa?”
Jason was the highlight of the preview. You’re right KF, we can look forward to Jason…..I hope. I have a feeling things aren’t going to go well for him either, but at least he’ll have Santa.

So are we thinking Eric’s revenge might be related to the rumored relationship with Talbot? Maybe to get back at Russell? Wow, that would be pretty harsh, seduce a man just to set him on fire later.
I am thinking it’s Talbot burning. Maybe Bill sets Talbot on fire and escapes? Maybe Russell has a harsh way with dealing with cheaters. If Russell is older than Godric, maybe Eric’s revenge is on Russell.

Season 3 is based on my favorite book in the series, and it looks like TB will be red hot. Bring on the weres and Santa!

That teeny clip of Eric/Sookie, I am still not budging in my assumption it’s another stupid dream. OR it could be Sookie wakes up in her undies with Eric in bed with her ala book and she hops us and gets dressed. But Im placing e-money on dream sequence.
Guess we can cut n paste that Eric comes to Sookie’s house, senses the were inside and tells her to invite him in where the scuffle ensues. Why Sookie would shoot Eric at this point is odd, unless on accident. But either way they are trucking down the road right after having a nice post-attack chat.

You’re right, the hair is different. There’s someone standing in the background when Bill is on the phone to Sookie. Can’t see who. KF, I think he’s a prisoner of Russell but a well treated one, at least in the beginning. No idea of the motive, possibly something about taking over Louisiana from Sophie- Anne and all its useful minions?

Sorry, that was supposed to be a reply to who’s sitting on Bill’s lap. There’s a casting call for an exotic looking stripper named Ann who’s devoured by 3 vampires. She looks like the same girl later on in the trailer with Lorena, maybe she’s brought in by Russell as food. I don’t think anyone is behind Bill, it looks like his reflection.

i agree, AB has consistantly said that eric and sookie is fated 2 happen, but its not gonna happen straight away. Just like last season, AB is likely 2 just intensify the tension between the two… I did read a recent interview which stated eric/sookie have a particularly intense moment, whether thats physical or on an emotional level we will soon see..
I was hoping 2 c some flashback scenes, looking forward 2 seeing godric again.

If the season lives up to this wild amazing trailer then there is not a doubt that TB has truly come into its own.
Gone I believe is alot of the silliness of last season (ok, we need a little silly…..Santa?), and replaced with soul searching, gut wrenching intense crazy drama.

It’s an exciting trailer and the end is heartbreaking, Anna does a wonderful job, she’s an amazing actress and great cryer. I can’t imagine a different actress playing Sookie. So looking forward to what Tara get’s into. Jason and Andy’s story too. So glad to see so much of Bill, he’s why I’ll be parked in front of the TV every Sunday night this season, come hell or high water. Watching Stephen is the best thing about the show for me.
Totally with you on that, Wiwa! Stephen/Bill is my main reason for watching TB. That trailer is so full of good stuff coming up…and Bill, oh my!!
It looks like he may have escaped from his captors, and likely has found out that Franklin or whoever is putting Sookie in danger and that’s why he calls her to tell her not to look for him. I think that is the only reason Bill would ‘break up’ with Sookie, to protect HER. Also, if that is the reason they break up then we know it won’t be a permanent thing.
Then again, we can only speculate about what is really going on from this little clip..but it’s a doozie of a clip!!
