loved the intro of alcide… cant wait to see more of him!

  2. Sarah says:

Can’t wait to see more of Alcide either …..as for the episode WOW, WOW, WOW and OMG !!!! Have just watched …….

  3. Aemac says:

Maybe I need to see more of Alcide, because so far he’s not doing anything for me. I think Bill eclipsed all the other characters in this episode.

    • jen says:

ofcourse bill eclipses every1! not only because he’s the best character in my opinion. But because he is the lead, cant have any1 else having a better introduction than bills!!!
but i have 2 admit, im a little curious in alcide, he has alot of bill traits in some ways!!!

    • NotHoney says:

Alcide who? Bill’s story was easily the more fascinating and complex. The scene at the end was shockingly brutal and hate-filled, but I totally understand why Bill snapped. Too bad he didn’t snap Lorena Flambe’s neck, though.

      • Ashley says:

Am i to understand that people actually thought what Bill did to Lorena was okay? If thats the case then im shocked. Lorena is pretty sick, and she was egging Bill on, but Bill is the one who initiated the sex by throwing her on the bed. And what he did to her was beyond disturbing, even as he was twisting her head around and blood was pouring out of her mouth she said “i still love you” . Thats how obsessed with Bill she is. Bill was sympathetic in his plight of having to swear fealty to Russell, and THAT he definitely did to protect Sookie, but the hate sex was in no way protecting Sookie, especially since Russell told Lorena she cant hurt Sookie, and Bill is released from Lorena. Bill let his rage get out of control and channeled it into abusive sex, and that is not okay, no matter how you look at it.

        • Reverse says:

I have to disagree with you. While Lorena is still alive, Bill is still controlled or compelled by her blood in him (even more blood considering he chomped on her out of anger), to do her bidding. She might have released him, but she can still control him imo. Hence why he screamed at the end because he hated what he was doing, hated that she had this hold over him STILL, and hated that she compelled to act so violently yet lustfully with HER instead of leaving him alone.

However on a lighter note, I’m not here to bash Bill since he’s doing all this for a reason. He’s still #1 in my books and always will be. I’ve read the books and I still love Bill and wish he still comes out on top which I have no doubts that he will.

Side note: They made Bill especially smoking handsome this season. x)

          • CitizenErased says:

They have, haven’t they? I remember I was moaning like fuck last year about his hair and makeup. If they’re bent on doing horrible things to him at least make him look hot, for chrissakes. I thought new guys might distract me from Bill, but sadly not. He has my heart and other less noble parts of me, no matter what bad bastard shit he gets up to.

    • jay says:

yeah bill definately out shone every1, but thats probably got to do with the episode centred mostly around bill anyway. I guess other characters will have their time to shine in other episodes as they all deserve to because all the TB characters are amazing!
Love Franklin Mott he is so awesome. He makes Eric look like an angel he is so badass!!! lol but badass in a likable way!

    • Lividity says:

I was ready to be all over the Alcide character, but so far… nothing. Perhaps I was distracted by other things going on in the episode, but his entrance was underwhelming. Maybe next episode will solidify his character better.

      • jen says:

yeah I think the writers did not do the character any favours by having the episode centre around bill. Not that Im complaining because I love bill. But i kinda feel sorry for the character. New characters like Coot and Franklin got far interesting entrances than his….hopefully things get better for alcide and the writers make him shine a little bit more!!!!

  4. jen says:

i did not like the twist @ the end… For me that was overboard!
Besides that I liked the episode, that scene has not put me off! But please TB no more of the overboard stuff ok

    • TeamSookie says:

But that is what TB likes to do and what they are known for. To go overboard and keep pushing the envelope. It’s also what attracts many viewers so I think it will continue to happen.

  5. lizzie1701 says:

As usual, I can’t watch the HBO video clips as they buffer too much. Is there any other site I can watch them?

I loved this episode – need tissues. Poor Bill! His acting is so great! He has to be nominated for Emmy/GG – please! (yeah, next year, I know!).

  6. TeamSookie says:

I think in future episodes when we see more of Alcide it will be better. He was on screen only a short period of time. We have to see his interaction with Sookie at his apartment and also at Debbie’s engagement party.

I love FM, he is amazing to watch on screen. Talbot is just great, I hope we get to see much more of him because his lines are great.

  7. Acanthus says:

You know, I think Alcide would have better served if he had been introduced in another fashion. Not as “I am here to protect you, Sookie” (the thankless job of every male on this show, apparently), but in a summoning scene with Eric that played out the alluded-to dynamic of debt and repayment between the two. And there was something tiresome about the bar brawl. Another Sookie fizzhead scene, yet another rescue  Stagey fight, too – the choreography of every air punch was just so visible.

    • CitizenErased says:

‘the thankless job of every male on this show, apparently’

LOL. Even when it results in their own nihilistic self destruction. Is she worth it really? *raises brow cynically*
God, Stephen Moyer is fucking amazing. However, someone needs to give Bill the day off. From everyone. Its really unfair how life just keeps handing him a shit sandwich. Can I write an episode where he gets a nice evening in the bath with the Complete Works of Shakespeare, a nice stroll through the woods etc? I don’t expect anyone to watch it, but bitches please, he needs a break :p

      • TruBNewB says:

        I would watch it! :)

In the meantime… maybe you could write it? *begs*
I would most definitely read and enjoy it!
Bill needs a moment to center himself!

      • Acanthus says:

Definitely put film in the camera, CE. I’d watch it , too, but I also vote for tangos and amusing dinner partners and late-night gallery openings , now that he’s got access to that fabulous Armani wardrobe in the King’s guestroom. Whatever. I’d love to see the writers let Vampire Bill enjoy some of Moyer’s wit and endearing mock flirtatiousness.

  8. typeoneg says:

I agree with TeamSookie that HBO and Alan Ball want to keep pushing the envelope. And really, the only way Bill can get back at Lorena is through hate sex, when she lets herself be vulnerable…otherwise, she’s far stronger and faster than him. Hey, he’s an emotional guy, what can you say?

  9. Angie says:

I love Franklin, his character is fun and interesting. He’s like a breath of fresh air. I can kinda see Tara getting a little sass back. I like when Franklin first asked to be invited in and she said “Hell no, I have a horrible track record of letting people in this house” lol

I don’t really see Tara becoming a victim again this season.
Rutina said in a interview that this season we’ll see the fighter side in Tara, since Franklin puts a hold over her. Its going to be very interesting seeing Tara really fight it out with Franklin.

    • Acanthus says:

And *still* Tara let him in. Not a character flaw, it’s just the out clause in the rules. What’s the point, I ask ya, in this by-invitation-only admission policy? Glamorglamorglamor, and ZOT!! the vampires just waltz in.

      • TBObsessed says:

I know! That seemed like cheating to me, too! What’s the use of having that rule if all you have to do is glamour someone to get an invitation to their home? It doesn’t deter the vampire, it just slows them down a few seconds!

  10. Roswellover says:

Loved the episode! Stephen did a marvelous job. The flashbacks gave more of an insight into the Bill character. The sex scene with Bill/Lorena wasn’t needed. Bill owed this episode!

  11. fleur says:
