  1. TruBNewB says:

Sookie going to visit Gran? :-(
The pic of Sam and Lala looks more like an outtake than a preview shot.
Bill has the bleeds while at Fangtasia, while Sookie looks none the worse for wear after her double draining.
I see the pic of Bill behind QSA and all I can think is “Get her Bill! Get her!!”.
QSA meanwhile appears to be in mourning clothes. I wonder if this is after Russell’s (hopeful) encasement in concrete and silver?

    • cr says:

I’m not seeing the bleeds (perhaps it’s these old eyes). I’m presuming this is after the supernatural sunscreen failed for Eric and Russell so perhaps he’s had time to feed Sookie and get some rest.

And is this Claudine in more of her ‘real’ form, as opposed to her Summer’s Eve commercial form?

      • TruBNewB says:

Well I’d never claim to have perfect eyesight, but I do see blood next to Bill’s ear in that pic of him at Fangtasia with Sookie.

        • cr says:

Ah, now I see it (probably because I wasn’t looking at his ear for some reason).

Either that or it’s those disgusting little worms from Star Trek: Wrath of Khan.

  2. Acanthus says:

Go Sookie! Go with Claudine! Take her hand! Go jump in the lake!

Nah, no such luck. Looks like Queen Sophie-Anne will bite the dust, though. I’ll have those widow’s weeds and mourning jools.

  3. CitizenErased says:

Heh, Sookie’s dress is straight out of one of the books. Dead Until Dark, methinks. I’d forgive the last two episodes entirely if Bill was allowed to kill Sophie Anne. That would rock so hard. You guys can divvy up her clothes, I’ll take her parrot collection.

    • Acanthus says:

Wait a second. If/when Sophie-Anne goes, we are left with FOUR measly vampires in a show about vampires. Not only do we lose a vampire, we lose the last Paris-Milan collection connection and the parrots go, too. It’ll be sundresses with padded bodices and Merlottes T-shirts (Pam’s gawjus drag queen outfits don’t count), and beagles. Oh, and wolves, but talk about laugh.

Alan Ball, pay attention to the Magister: You kill a vampire, you make a vampire.

      • Acanthus says:

Five vamps, actually, counting the occasional Nan

      • gattopardo says:

        WORD! kill some make some.
we need more class A, couture-savvy vamps around.
Lorena had to go true, but her impeccable taste is sorely missed.
And I’m not holding my breath where the witches are concerned…
Although if William does step up to the plate, I’ll happily riffle through QSA trunks and chests. Darn it, she’ll be queen of Mississipi and Louisianna and also twice as bitchy to boot I bet.

        • J Whit says:

          Jessica
          Bill
          Eric
          Russell
          Pam
          Nan
these are the vamp regulars, local vamps ……. shouldn’t we have a new bartender at fangtasia? I think they need one.

I keep hoping to see Pam in a pair of Lily Pulitzer capri’s with the cute little monkeys swinging from palm trees. I want a shot from that scene for my avatar.

I really really want to reach out and touch and well honestly just pinch the holy shit out of Tara’s mother.
          hard.

I can’t remember, has it been established why vampires are bleeding from various visible orifices? I saw it and really wondered when Eric was grabbing Hadley in the hall to send her to the Sook with a message. I wondered then ….. why in the hell does Eric have blood running from his ear?

          • TruBNewB says:

Vamps get the bleeds when they are awake after daylight. I’m unsure if it’s just that the vamps should be sleeping and have been awake for too long or only because they are awake after daylight.

          • Acanthus says:

J Whit, I believe vampires get the ‘bleeds’ when they stay awake too long, ie during daylight hours, and don’t get enough rest. It’s their visible sign of sleep deprivation. .

Vamp count: ItHow could I forget Russell? Oops. He’s going into cold storage, though, for a while at least.
            Here’s my (incomplete) tally:

            GREATER VAMPS LOST
            Godric
            The Magister
            Talbot
            Lorena
            Longshadow
            Franklin
            Eddie

LESSER VAMPS LOST (not including QSA’s guards or assorted collateral damage from Luke’s suicide mission)
            Stan
            2 vamps from Bill’s nest
At least one of KRE’s goons, staked by Bill

            VAMPS MADE
            Jessica

Is this negative vampire population growth, or what?

  4. AphroditeMF says:

That tombstone looks too old to be gran’s, and Sookie looks too shocked. Maybe it’s something to do with her fairy heritage? Her grandfather’s, perhaps?

  5. lizzie1701 says:

Oh dear! I guess Sookie is asking Gran for help = asking “Who am I” blah blah and up comes Claudine! I hope Claudine tells Sookie Bill is a good guy.

Yes, QSA does have a beautiful wardrobe. She looks stunning in those pics. Bill, of course, looks great in his leather jacket! Doe she kill her?

Big conversation between Bill and Sookie. I guess she is telling him off again. Later she will rescind her invitation to her house. Bad Sookie.

  6. Ali says:

    Bill in leather jacket… purrrr….

  7. Brenda6867 says:

Did anyone read the books??? Eric is so hot and unlike whipped Bill did not start out lying to get with her. He starts out more evil but he does fall for Sookie. He always gets her the things she needs from a driveway to a coat, as well as cash. Also she is Pam’s favorite “Breather” and their interaction in seriously missed on the series. The memory loss part made ME fall for Eric, so Sookie didn’t have a chance……

    • lizzie1701 says:

Yes, most of us read the books and guess what! Still love Bill! I hope AB has more sense than to follow the books verbatim. Amnesia Eric! How corny, imo, and wouldn’t that be a false relationship? Not the ‘real’ Eric?? J

    • Diana says:

Sigh… Yes, we’ve read the books and we still love us some Bill Compton. “Blah, blah, blah, blah. And ten minutes later…blah.” Thanks forever for the quote, Lorena!. And nothing says love like a new driveway, cash and a coat!

      • karlskit says:

LOL, Diana. You summed up my two paragraphs in about two sentences. Love the brilliance of Lorena!

Still a Bill fan after all the books. The latest short story, “Two Blondes” is a great metaphor for the Eric-Sookie relationship. SPOILER:
        >
        >
        >

Of course Eric loves Sookie. But it doesn’t stop him from tricking her into another vamp mission in the guise of a vacation with Pam. (Oh, we’re going to have a great time. There’s just one little “errand” we have to do for Eric first. . . ) Naturally, Eric is too busy with politics and vamp business at Fangtasia to come along–he conveys his deep concern by phone (and having Pam present Sookie with the gun he bought her, you know, in case things get dangerous. . . what a thoughtful gift. . . ) But hey, Sookie gets to use that monogrammed piece of luggage Eric bought her for Christmas and she picks up a couple freebie stripper outfits–perks of the job!

        • Roswellover says:

I think I’ll skip reading the short story.

        • CitizenErased says:

LOL, we haven’t had one of those ‘if you’d only read the books you’d be Team Eric’ moaners in a while. Thanks for the handy summary of the short story *snickers* God Book Sookie is a stupid bitch. Such a tragedy if her show counterpart ends up that bad. Of course, some already think she has.

          • Sarah UK says:

I have read books 1-9 and have just started DITF and still love bill and think Eric is a conniving so and so in both mediums ….always thought book Sookie totally over-reacted to Bill’s secret and still do and hope tv Sookie does not go the same way and sees Eric for the true conniving so and so that he is !

    • Greg says:

Bill does try to buy stuff for her but she doesn’t like that and so he doesn’t give her anything (and then for some reason she gets all pissy later on about him giving money to the bellefleurs, I mean seriously make your mind up!)

      • cr says:

Actually, he really doesn’t. She is rather sad about the fact that it was Eric who bought the driveway (after she mentioned it).

I’d gotten the impression that even if he’d offered her big ticket items (driveway, roof, etc) she’d have refused but she’d at least liked him to have asked.

Book Sookie and Bill did have the occasional issues about communication.

        • Roswellover says:

CR, that’s not quite true if you remember Bill owes a mall in the books. He told Sookie she could have anything she wanted, but of course Sookie took it the wrong way. I’m just tired of certain fans saying Bill never gave or offered anything to Sookie.

  8. Roswellover says:

Yes, I have read the books and guess what I still love Bill. Eric isn’t as wonderful to Sookie as you claim he is. I’m not going to argue about that because I don’t debate w/Eric fans anymore….it’s just a waste of my time.

    TEAM BILL!!!!!!

  9. billsbaby says:

Haven’t read the books, don’t plan on reading the books. I am a fan of True Blood and I fell in love with Bill Compton from watching True Blood so whatever happened in the books wouldn’t change my mind about Bill….what difference does it make anyway? Nothing would make me hate Bill and nothing would make me like Eric.
What was it that Alan Ball said….something along the lines of “If book readers don’t like the show, they always have their books”? Something like that anyway, I believe.

  10. Magdalena says:

So… here’s my prediction for the finale: Alcide, Bill, Eric, and Sookie are all in a room together being all hissy when a devious witch casts a Maryann-like spell of super horniness on them all. Fun ensues. Season 4 is all about them trying to regain their memory like after supernatural college party.

  11. jay says:

I love the maryann-like spell of super horniness idea Magdalena lol

The good old book Eric v TB Eric, love v hate Eric debate is back…Its been awhile! Someone always lays the bait and someone else will bite…and I giggle and roll my eyes!

Love/hate Bill/Eric is all ‘blah blah blah’ and a little ‘hehehehe’ to me..

The only interesting pic for me is Bill and QSA…I really hope she dies! Come on Bill off the little B*^#h
