Is there still hope for Sookie and Eric on True Blood? — Alexis
NATALIE: Considering that Sookie swore off both Bill and Eric in the season finale, it’ll be a while before we see any movement on that front. “The feelings are still there for both Eric and Bill,” Alexander Skarsgard tells us. “The attraction is still there, but they’re preoccupied, and so is she.” Instead, look for Bill and Eric to team up while the vampire world begins to both expand and collapse in the coming season. “The guys have usually tried to kill each other and now suddenly have to learn to become friends and protect each other and work together.”
Yay for Bill and Eric working together. Also…there’ll be lots of dreams.

Its not bad to know some action for Eric, I think its gonna be fun…and later in the season I guess we’ll see something more about Eric and Sookie’s romance I prefer them together and they’d better send Bill to Peru as it was in the books :) Nothing against EMoyer but I prefer Alexander Skarsgard.
Bill going to Peru ? Are you smoking something, darling ?? Bill is the main character of TB . Without Bill – no TB. Thankfully, that AB has discovered what many other readers of SVM have discovered: The depth of Bill’s character ..
well I am a reader of SVM and let me tell you, the character of Bill Compton is so much worse on TB. I wouldn’t really brag about that. TB has made the character almost irredeemable at this point. But then I guess it is okay to be a fan of all the things he has done. your right.
You know, if someone can become fan of Eric and all the things he has done .. any trouble in BT is almost entirely due to him … his arogans, his selfishness. . Bill at least try to get better, Eric enjoys being bad . So yes, that’s really good to be fan of Bill Compton in True Blood. Similarly in the SVM.
Oh yeah any trouble in Bon Temps is Eric’s fault, even serial killers and Maenads are somehow caused by his selfishness… LOL! I’m not saying Bill is the devil but this is just funny!
LOL….I love bad, sexy men myself. Kudos to you Biilswoman, for being true to your man. Me…I find it easy to love Eric Northman…he is so lovable. And all the things you criticize him for are probably the things I find so attractive about the character…so go figure. Smug, sarcastic, cocky, high-handed, strutting…..yes, I love it all. I don’t think Bill is going to Peru since it’s S5…unless he’s taking Eric with him also. Maybe they’ll finally admit their love for each other in a nice tropical villa. LOL

Rina – Your scenario is sounding better and better. Bill and Eric in Peru claiming their love for each other – I’ll only add may they both be naked while doing so.
Perhaps if they both go off together we can give up the good fight of who is best for Sookie.
And I thought I was the only one who was thinking that Bill had a crush on Eric. I mean he does try to emulate him. And after that “sexy man” look he gave him after Eric drank thru the heart straw…..yes, I can believe now it could happen.

Honestly, it’s hard to tell sometimes whether the fans are joking or not because SM and AS do have amazing chemistry. And I will agree that was one hell of a look that Bill gave Eric after the heart-ripping scene. I am looking forward to more scenes with Bill and Eric.
Well helen, many of us prefer Bill and still we dont say rediculous things like send Eric of somewhere.
You and a few others still seem to have Peru on the brain. Give it a rest, that subject has become tedious and boring. Bills not going anywhere, except back into Sookies heart, as we all saw in the S4 finale.
Hey, I wouldn’t mind if Eric visited his farm on Orland, or his plantation in Barbados, or his apartment in Paris. I’d watch Eric Northman walking on the Moon if TB sent him there.
Rina, I agree, it wouldn’t bother me one bit if they sent Eric’s story away from Bon Temps. He is good enough for his own story and it might be more interesting than Bon Temps.

I guess that’s what really sends the Eric fans into a meltdown: Bill not being in Peru. Well….as Alan Ball is writing True Blood [and has the freedom to deviate from CH books as much as it pleases him to do so], I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting to see that scenerio happen. Bill Compton isn’t going anywhere. As a matter-of -fact, with the AVL / Authority storylines sitting front and center for Season 5, I believe we will see even more of sexy and brilliant King Bill then in Season 4! And that’s alright with me. :)
If Sookie and Eric reconcile, please send them off to Peru. I can’t bear to to watch such stilted awkward sex scenes. It so lacked heat it actually snowed . lol

You are right, most of the Sookie/Eric scenes were a triumph of cheesy writing and poor development. Which is really sad, since troughout the series, and up to ep 6 of last season, I had thoroughly enjoyed every single interaction between them.
I feel like the show has really lost the plot and I fear the damage is irreparable. I just don’t buy most of it anymore and as much as I WANT to enjoy it it all feels slightly “off” to me now. I know I will end uo watching season 5 just because I want to know how it ends, but the emotional investment is forever gone.
About Bill and Eric teaming up, meh. Could be fun maybe, but the whole vampire politics stuf makes so little sense it mostly just makes me angry LOL
imho, best, least awkward, most endearing Eric-Sookie emotional scene from season 4 was after he had his Godric “nightmare”.

This season , it sounds like we’re finally going to find out how hte vampire hierarchy works and how powerful they really are. Since, I primarily watch this show for vampire action , I’m pretty pumped about it. Perhaps you’d like more Werewolf drama or Terry/Arlene drama or Tara’s Mom drama?
Well it’s just my opinion, I don’t claim I can enlighten anyone. I just feel the stuff we’ve seen in the past season is pretty inconsistent and sloppy, and doesn’t have much thought or planning behind it. They’ve hinted at an extremely complex system with the Authority/AVL/kings and queens/the Magister but it all seems very “whio cares let’s make this happen now and then we’ll think about it” rather than building a coherent power structure.
And no, I certainly don’t want any more side plots sucking time out of the main storyline, but that obviously gonna continue as long as the show lives so I ‘m done hoping for change.
The vampire action is my favourite part as well, I just don’t think it’s being written as well as it could. But then I think the whole show suffered from bad writing last season so…
The vampire politics is actually the aspect of the entire show that I find most interesting, certainly much moreso than romantic connections between characters. But then, I’m a hardcore fan of vampire movies, so the development of a vampire mythology is one of the main factors that got me watching in the first place.
There are certainly some issues that the writers need to clarify though – how the monarchs are chosen, how many magisters there are and if a new one has been selected to replace the one Russell killed, how the AVL connects to the Authority, what the opposing factions are that Nan talked about, etc. Hopefully the introduction of the Authority in season five will help to clarify some of this.
Yes it certainly looks like we will find out more about vampire politics in S5. And that’s great. I mean I understand that TB can’t present everything at once. S5 is gonna be the season of politics.
How cheesy, Bill and Eric are best buddies now,they are teaming up and everything .Trying to kill each other is so under the bridge.Are they really vampires?
A little early to be making judgements about season 5 isn’t it?! For all we know, Bill and Eric will still be at each other’s throats, and their working relationship will be grudging at best.
I really hope so, because they are both better when they are enemies. its more fun that way.
Yeah what a standup vamp,asking Sookie for her hand in marriage knowinging what he knew/did.But it’s ok because the Rattray incident never happened,Sookie ask for forgiveness and everything is back to normal.TB Sookie is ….well she ….He’ll I do not know what to think of TB Sookie.
Ahhhh! The picture that says goodbye! Goodbye to my excitement for Sunday nights and the series that I followed with such hope through 4 1/2 seasons looking for some semblance of the characters and the story I so enjoyed in the SOOKIE STACKHOUSE books. Yep, I capped that on purpose. Sookie, the main character, the star of the books, whose exploits they detailed. NOT the BILL COMPTON books. The affair they had was so brief and the relationship slowly evolved into friendship throughout 11 books so far. But in this alternate fanfic universe it has lasted through 4 seasons while the main relationship in the rest of the 9 books was grudgingly delegated to 3 or 4 purposely camped out and ridiculously stilted episodes. I keep checking in periodically to see what’s up for next season and find, no surprise, the writers drifting farther and farther out into neverland. I feel like a kid who found only a lump of coal in my stocking……….again! This is the first hiatus in which I have not re-watched a single episode and looks like the breakup will become permanent. I am happy for you fans that are enjoying this alternate reality. Sorry, the bromance does nothing for me. Sorry, Alcide does nothing for me. Sorry mostly for nothing to look forward to this summer on TV. This picture says it all. The moment I looked into they eyes of a person I thought I had a huge crush on and realized I had been decieved all along. (runs off sobbing, clutching her beloved novels)

Could we all cut the melodrama, please? We all know that we will all watch season 5. And Sookie is on her own in Book 5, so these news can hardly be a surprise. And Bill and Eric work together in the books all the time to protect Sookie and the vamps of LA, so that is also hardly a surprise. It takes Sookie 9 books to figure things out with Eric, so we will have to be patient. And even if Sookie and Bill find their way back to each other on TB, we’ll always have the books. Let’s enjoy the show for what it is–an alternative version of Sookie’s story.

It’s not actually a bromance. That’s just people making fun of the Bill – Eric drama. Of course they hate each other and work together only because they have to. We already saw Bill and Eric sniping at each other when they were chained together on that bonfire. Wasn’t that a funny moment? I’m looking forward to more of the same in S5. SM and AS are amazing together and so much fun to watch on the screen.
They’re not following the books for the most part so Eric lovers better get over it,Bill is the only love for Sookie!!!!

Ball is going to change a word cause I want Bill in Peru but…its really a great idea hahahaha…I enjoy the show specially cause Eric but I like all the vampire matter too and well it could be interesting Eric and Bill running for their lives then …will see what’s next.

I really enjoy Eric & Bill working together (against their better wishes), I think it adds a lot of depth to both of their characters. I fondly remember the scene at Forever 21 from season 2, one of my favorites. The friendliness that they outwardly show, turning into a power play? Loved that! Looking forward to them playing on the same side, while probably not trusting each other completely.
