HBO just aired a “Don’t Cry, It’s Back” True Blood promo. Not new scenes, but always something good!

Reminder: next week will be Conjuring Up Season 4 starting at 6:45 p.m. ET on HBO. We’re now less than 3 weeks away from the Season 5 premiere!

It’s birthday time again for a True Blood actor – this time it is John Billingsley’s birthday. Happy Birthday John! We haven’t seen his character in a while on True Blood (Coroner Mike Spencer), but there is always a chance we’ll be needing the coroner in Bon Temps!

Teen Choice Awards is held annually to celebrate the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web. Fans ages 13-19 can cast votes for their favorites on the official TCA website. The winners will be announced in a two-hour event airing live Sunday, July 22 at 8 P.M. ET on FOX.

The DVD and blu-ray will be released on the 10th of July, and will initially only be available from Amazon.  As well as the two-and-a-half hour theatrical version, a three-hour-six-minute extended director’s cut will also be included.

Recently speaking about the movie to horror website Fangoria.com, director Darren Bousman said:

“It’s THE SHINING meets JAWS in the woods. So it’s a monster movie, but it’s not like a classic monster movie; it’s my version of a monster film.

It’s basically about Stephen Moyer being pursued by a monster in the woods—the Jersey Devil. However, what makes it different is that it’s more about his relationship with his family, and happens to have a creature in it. So instead of making a monster movie with a human element, it’s a human story that happens to have a monster in it. It plays itself out as a drama with a monster in the background. I love that, where instead of the creature being the A story, it’s the B story, and the human interaction, the human elements are the A story.”
