Stephen Moyer

Stephen Moyer was interviewed by Company Magazine in this October issue. Enjoy!

He’s dating his True Blood co-star, Anna Paquin, but that didn’t stop sexy Brit-born vampire Stephen Moyyer logging on for a spot of online flirting. Move over, RPatz!

COMPANY: Having a good day?

STEPHEN: Lovely, thank you. London is the best place on earth when the sun’s out.

C: SO you miss our little Britain?

S: Totally -one of the first things I do when I get back is jump in the pond in Hampstead. I’m a bit fair~weather, though — I only do it from May to September.

C: Vampire drama True Blood is massive in the US. Have you had any strange fan moments?
S: Yeah, Robert Pattinson and I are probably the only people where the first thing people say is, ‘Bite me’. Sometimes they try and bite me, which is weird.

C: And do you oblige?
S: I’ve gone in to, but no saliva has swapped between recipients, I make it look as if I’m about to, then pull back. I had to sign a breast though — it would be rude not to! I kept thinking, do you really want my illegible script over your nipple?

C: Sounds a bit crazy!

S: It is. Two women I’ve met have named their dogs Sookie [after his on-screen love]. So, when I’ve been
walking my dog, they’ve asked me to call their dogs in my gruff voice. Very weird!

C: Whatever floats your boat ; ) How do you feel about the odd naughty text?

S: I once accidentally messaged one of my friends something meant for a girlfriend, and it was incredibly
inappropriate. It was a proposal of sorts, to go and do something in a park. It was rather filthy, so I’ve since got used to triple-checking before I send texts now.

C: A bit of an alfresco man?! Saucy! Are you good at the dating game?

S: Oh god, I’m useless. Dating in England is so different to dating in America. Either that or I’m really old-fashioned. I always thought that, when you asked someone out, you were going out with them. Whereas, in America, you can be dating 20 other people. It doesn’t mean you’re seeing them until saliva changes hands.

Thanks Phoebe for the scans!

C: You’re going to have to stop mentioning saliva, you’re getting us all hot and bothered! Speaking of which, what turns you on?
S: Certainly smell, but I’m not a fan of perfume. I like a woman’s natural scent. And I’ve always been interested in what’s behind the eyes, and gone for brains over anything. I don’t have a type, but I like someone who’s smart and funny.

C: So what’s a turn-off?

S: Materialism. I’m a big believer in going halves. I would, of course, pay on a first date, but I don’t think it should naturally be a given that men pay for everything.

C: Do you believe in love at iirst sight?
S: It’s happened to me once…

C: How do you know you’re in love?
S: When being apart physically hurts.

C: Any bad habits?
S: I’m not good at loading the dishwasher and I won’t wear marigolds for love nor money — well, possibly for money ; )

C: And would you tell us if our bum looked big?
S: The key is working out the right time for the right answer, because sometimes women want the truth but, believe me, I don’t get it right many times. ..

C: Oh yes, timing is everything! How do you feel about sex on a first date?
S: It depends whether the two consenting adults know what they’re getting into. If it’s just going to be that, and that’s the agreed perception, then whatever works.

C: Have you had any dating disasters?
S: I used to be terrified of asking women out. I always resented that the guy had to do it. I like the teenage thing of getting your mates to do it for you. I tried to carry that on longer than I should have.

C: But now can we rely on you to make the first move?
S: Yes, I finally plucked up the courage to go up to a girl. I stuck a piece of paper in her hand and said, ‘You need to ring that number’. Finally, that number did ring and I’ve been more confident since.

C: How long did she leave it?
S: That’s an interesting question. After two days, as a bloke, you go, ‘Fuck it, move on’. But she rang three days later and said, ‘I’m within the three-day rule…’

I was like, ‘What three-day rule?!’

C: It’s a bit late to ask now, but will your girlfriend, Anna [co-star Anna Paquin], mind you flirting with us?
S: I think flirting is very healthy, as long as your partner knows that’s all it is.

C: Fine by us!

Thanks Tinchy and the Vault for this article!!

    • Lividity says:

Wait, I did not see that Vault conducted this Ruth. We are a news site and report what we find. Good article ZZ! Thanks!

      • Ruth says:

I know they didn’t conduct the interview, I’m not stupid and I can read. However, this was a physical magazine, not an e-article, so the only way someone here knew about it was either to buy it (from England) or copy it from somewhere else. Tinchy took the time and effort to buy the magazine and scanned it and was kind enough to send it to the Vault. She deserves some credit for it. You didn’t even mention her. The way it was posted was as if you guys found it. All you did was type the text from the article that Tinchy scanned. All I’m asking for is a little common courtesy. You wouldn’t like it if someone else took credit for something you did.

        • Ruth says:

I have no problem with you reporting other people’s work, just give proper credit…… I read all the sites and am used to seeing the same stuff all over the place…. That’s the internet for you. However, I am also used to sites giving proper credit. Yes the magazine was sited, however you wouldn’t have this if Tinchy didn’t take the trouble to find it. And you know what the Vault is, so don’t play dumb. It’s very childish.

          • ZZ says:

Ok i’m afraid you are mistaken. I transcribed the article because my source photos of the scan weren’t clear enough. Didn’t feel the need to credit someone who scanned something I’m not using but I will post the photo so we can move over with this. As always we seem to be chased by certain groups. Have nothing against Tinchy, but my scan photo does not come from there.

          • Ruth says:

If I’m wrong I apologize, but the timing seemed awful coincidental…….

    • Aemac says:

Who’s Tinchy and the Vault? Since they did not conduct this interview & they are not named in it, I’m not sure what you are referring to.

      • Ruth says:

Now your’re the one sounding dumb…..

        • CitizenErased says:

You are rude. And also have been proved wrong in your accusations. If you have a problem with the content of this site, please use our email address. We never repost material without crediting, unlike some places.

        • Aemac says:

You’re the rudest poster that has ever commented on this site to my knowledge and shame on you for being such a poor example of the Vault’s viewership.

  2. sabine says:

lovely interview! I just love the way he speaks so clearly about everything. Thanks!

  3. Aemac says:

These are some of the best questions ever asked of Steve and it makes me so happy that he answered them. What a great guy!

  4. Lividity says:

Agreed, worthy of posting on news.

  5. CitizenErased says:

People should always ask this man pervy questions, he clearly digs it and so do I. Mmm.

  6. DebbiefromNY says:

I enjoyed this interview. We’ve begun to reach some depth with this cast!

  7. Tincar says:

Excellent interview by E-flirt!!! Lucky girls.

Thank you again Pheobe! Maria, thanks for transcribing the interview as painful as it may have been, your eyes must be killing you.

My only other response to the arrogance is WOW, just strengthens our point. Thanks for the post.

  8. Lividity says:

I have learned so much from this conversation. I wonder why there is so much hostility when we’re all here because of one TV show. A TV show!

I’m just happy someone transcribed this as personally, small scans wreak havoc on my eyeballs.

I’m with you CE, pervy questions rule!

    • Tincar says:

Yes, and to prove how painful scan can be to read we heard from some of our CHM True Blood fans and they can actually read the article. So, thanks again Maria.

  9. shocknawe says:

WOW – I just gotta say that I’ve been put off many threads because of the intensity of the negativie waves It is a TV show, and this group that includes “ZZ, CE, Aemac, Tincar et. al” has been a really wonderful place to be. Sure we have an undisguised love for SM/Bill/Sookie which brings everyone together but there is IMHO a sincere desire to keep a perspective, to be respectful of each other and the actors’ lives. I do sincerely appreciate the spirit of that and having a place to come where my feelings can be shared in a healthy way. Thank you and please keep it so.

    • Lividity says:

Thanks S&A, I’m so happy that you found our little community. We intend to keep the warm vibes going against all odds. This is fun for us, and really I cannot understand all the weirdness out there in the TB universe, but it is one of the reasons we created this place.

Thank you for hangin’ with us!

    • Aemac says:

Thanks SA for the positive feedback. It’s for people like you, who just want to have a “happy place” to go, that this news site and the “blue” wiki were created. We try to keep the negativity out and the pleasure of TB in. Of course, wallowing in everything Stephen never hurts.

    • CitizenErased says:

Aww, I feel all warm and fuzzy now. Yeah, none of us have any patience for bitching and bullshit and retarded Team wars, because its all meant to be fun right? I find the negativity associated with the show completely appalling, i’ve never seen anything like it. So it is banned here and on the Bill Wiki. Plenty of other places to fight people online if you get off on that kind of thing.

  10. Lizzie says:

What a great article! Loved the “Being apart physically hurts”, “smart and funny women” and “love at first site”. I wonder who he was talking about?

This man can give a brilliant interview with his eyes blindfolded! I am so glad he is so candid.

  11. shocknawe says:

Ah and I do love a good wallow in Stephen………..

  12. Faeline says:

Oh, please, all of you, especially to Ruth who launched this dialectic tiff – how inane it is for anyone to ‘give credit’ to other fansites when ALL this material is out there on the web or in the Fourth Estate. Credit is due to the ORIGINAL source, not to ‘who found what first’!!!

My heavens, ALL of the sites have contributors from ALL OVER this planet, so how ridiculous it is to think that one site is ‘first’ regarding anything.

All the fansites run photos, spread gossip, find and publish bits of information, use photo captions, without giving credit. It would be nigh impossible to control. But if any site has ANYTHING uncredited on their site, then ALL are wrong.

Copyright violation is rampant– so what don’t these sites understand about it? And often PERMISSION is needed to use the material. Perhaps best to study what COPYRIGHT material is all about, then give credit where it is DUE, which is certainly not someone’s ego chiding another’s with tongues stuck out like narky school mates!

First credit due: the article WRITER, the article PHOTOGRAPHER
    if not available, then:
Second credit due: the magazine or publication that produced the material.
Third credit due: API– Reuters — iNewsWire — Gannett — PR Newswire — or other news wire services
Fourth credit due: The celebrity’s publicists, IF they would even bother!!

Finally: The more bickering over who did what ‘first’ is only going to fuel the fires of those fanatics who want INTERNET REGULATION — and then NOBODY will get to use anything without paying royalties.

  13. Aida Landen says:

Not certain how I got here but I feel like I was meant to read this. Thanks.
