Denis O'Hare

Tony winner Denis O’Hare has been cast as Russell Edgington, the King of Mississippi. This character will be a regular on the series and should be introduced fairly early on in True Blood season three.

Denis O’Hare has been in a gazillion productions in both film and television. And if you go out to IMDB, you’ll see what I mean; his resume is a long one. Some of the more recent credits include Milk, Duplicity, Quarantine, Charlie Wilson’s War, Baby Mama and ten episodes of Brothers & Sisters.

So I guess we really are going to Mississippi in season three!

O’Hare is a fabulous actor. His film credits listed don’t do him justice.

One of his best performances was and episode of “Law and Order.” He played a schizophrenic, homeless attorney who murders a woman, then represents himself in court.

I can hardly wait to see what he does with Russell Edington.

Denis O’Hare has also had a long and industrious career on Broadway, including award-winning and award-nominated roles in “Take Me Out”, “Sweet Charity” and “Assassins”. Really looking forward to him in Season 3.
