Charlaine Harris’s ‘Harper Connelly’ to become Comic Book

Oh hey all you Charlaine Harris books fans – looks like her latest series is about to become published in comic form:

Charlaine Harris, author of the Sookie Stackhouse “Southern Vampire” mystery novels that inspired the HBO show “True Blood,” is about to make her comic book debut this year at Dynamite Entertainment, with a comics adaptation of her newest line of novels, the “Harper Connelly” series. The books, which include “Grave Sight” and “Grave Surprise,” center around the titular Harper Connelly, a woman with a special ability to find the dead.

We’re pretty big fans of the wonderfully indulgent “True Blood,” and if that series is any indication, we’re certainly interested in checking out more of her work, despite the fact that sexy Nordic vampires do not appear to be involved, sigh. The creative team for the comic hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.

This series is really good and creepy. I’m sad it’s over. Looking forward to see the comics (graphic novels?). I’ve really enjoyed the Anita Blake graphic novel adaptations, so I am optimistic about this.
