True Blood News and AlexSkarsgard.Net were lucky enough to travel together to Los Angeles, CA this week to attend the 28th annual PaleyFest which took place on Saturday, March 6th. It was an unforgettable weekend where not only did we get to spend some quality time together… FINALLY… we were able to take part in an adventure into the unknown (along with many other ¨True Blood Junkies¨).
We were able to obtain a little bit of info on season 4, along with a heap (over 1600) photos and video!
Lucky for you, we’re the sharing type…
Anna Paquin says that she will return from Fairyland but that “there’s stuff that’s different.¨ Alan confirmed that Sookie’s grandfather Niall (from the books) will not appear this season but will definitely show up some time in a future seasons.
Alexander Skarsgard visited Poland for the premiere of True Blood’s season 3. Here’s an interview from ŚwiatSeriali.pl. Please note it’s translated from Polish so it may look a little weird ;)
ŚwiatSeriali.pl: Do you believe in vampires?
Alexander Skarsgard: Of course I believe in vampires. I believe in myself, and I play a vampire, so – yes.
SS: Could you tell us how you work the character of Eric? The screen looks like you’re just having fun while working on the plan.
AS: I’m still working on the character of Eric. In two months we start filming season four. In this situation we’re exploring all aspects of the hero, we must explore new ideas – that is the creative process. It is impossible to create the character at the start of the first season and have him remain the same. In this situation, there is no question of acting inspiration, new ideas emerge all the time.
SS: Which of the seasons of the show is your favorite? Do you have a favorite scene or character?
AS: The third season was sensational, the work on the set was fun. The scenario for Eric was funny, the scenes were real fun. As for the other characters, I am delighted that in the third season, my relationship with my daughter, Pam is shown. It was also a great plot.
SS: Do you watch any other series? For example, the previous productions of Alan Ball?
AS: The series “Six Feet Under” was one of the reasons I was excited to start working on True Blood from Alan Ball. “Six Feet Under” is a fantastic series, just as “Treme” is. I really like “It Could Be Worse” [Eastbound & Down] whose second season begins with HBO. I love Danny McBride, I’m really fascinated by this production.
SS: What do you think about the Polish fans, and in particular fankach?
AS: What’s going on here is insane! I flew in today and I feel overwhelmed! Really cool to be here … it’s all a little crazy.
Where’s the best place to meet a were-panther and a were-wolf? You got it, Florida, home of the Florida Panthers and beautiful wolves. Come meet Joe Manganiello and Lindsay Pulsipher at the Seminole Casino, in Coconut Creek FL, on Saturday, October 16th from 7pm – 9pm. It’s a free meet and greet open to the public – 21 and over only. If you stop by for some gambling with the cast and would like to share your experience, please let us know at info@trueblood-news.com
Oh, and no biting. I’m talking to you fans, not the shifters.
As the smoke hugs the ground, slowly dissipating and the battle cries die down, only one vampire stands. Fangs, Viking horns and willing blood donors surround him on the now silent battleground. It is with great honor, that we announce that Stephen Moyer is theKing of the Battle of the Fang. The fight has been an amazing, fun-filled rollercoaster ride. The Vikings gave an unbelievable internet battle. Team Bill raised $35,043 and Team Eric raised $34,223 bringing the total for the Battle of the Fang to $69,266! Which only goes to prove that both vampires are loved dearly.
We are proud of ALL the fans that have stepped up and donated to both GulfAid and to SOS Children’s Charities. Of course, we also need to thank Alex Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer for playing along and agreeing to participate in the Battle of the Fang in the first place. Both these guys deserve a round of applause, because their job isn’t done yet. They will each be photographed wearing the appropriate winner/loser t-shirt. Your t-shirt suggestions have been sent to Stephen. He’ll decide which t-shirts need to be created.
To our number one Viking lover, Jenna, You are an incredible person and Alex should be honored to have you running his fansite (alexskarsgard.net).
A victory cannot be complete without giving recognition and special thanks to some people. Bill’s Wiki’d Women are amazing. They pulled together with one goal in mind and achieved it. This has been a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, constant advertising and communication. It is one thing to throw a button up and sit back collecting money in someone’s honor, but what has been done by these fans is commendable.
A shout out to our friends the BillsBelles, you guys ROCK! Also a giant thank you goes out to all the Twitterers and other sites that promoted the event. Thanks for all your help.
Special thanks to NotHoney: You are an indispensable crusader for GulfAid. Your posts regarding the tragedy were not only informative, but also funny. You masterfully tied in True Blood to make it so. You got people involved on so many different levels and nonstop ideas. You worked relentlessly to achieve our goal and we could not have done this with out you.

"Never underestimate the power of a good bake sale."
Just a quick update to let y’all know that Vampire Bill has leapfrogged over the towering Viking to take the lead in the Battle of the Fang! But don’t get too comfortable Team Bill, we all know that Eric is over 1000 years old and probably knows quite a bit about fundraising.
Remember, totals are updated here in the marquee to the right, and on alexskarsgard.net simultaneously. The balances do not update in real time – so if you’ve given to either cause, please look for the next update to see your donation recognized in the total.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to either cause. You True Blood fan(g)s truly are the greatest (crazy as all hell, but still the greatest). A “thank you” also goes out to Stephen Moyer & Alexander Skarsgård for graciously agreeing to participate in our charitable event. You guys rock!
