TV Guide columnist William Keck posted this exclusive photo of Nora, played by newcomer Lucy Griffiths, with Bill and Eric from the season five premiere. According to TV Guide, Nora is a part of the Vampire Authority and
“She’s an irreverent British lady who we think was turned during Elizabethan or Victorian times…It’s been years since she’s seen Eric, and she is very excited. She looks up to him, but they’ve had a fiery love/hate relationship in the way that brothers and sisters do.”
Griffiths also reveals more details about the photo: “It occurs just after I’ve met them, and it’s a reaction to being taken by surprise by some threatening characters.” Despite being eight episodes into filming the season, Griffiths said that there’s no “Bon Temps romance” for her character but she has her eye on Salome, an ancient vampire seductress, who will be played by Italian actress Valentina Cervi. Griffith’s described Nora and Salome’s relationship as: “They’re very close.”
Like always, waiting truly does suck!

This week Stephen Moyer was snapped on the True Blood set in full period costume. It looks like we’re getting a 19th century Bill Compton flashback! Stephen was also in the director’s chair, as scenes for episode eight of season five were shot in Hancock Park, LA.
The cast of True Blood have been speaking warmly of Stephen’s skills as a director.
Lauren Bowles, via Twitter:
“Working with a great director on this ep! Think his name is Stephen Moyer. Heard he has a day job but his is AMAZING.”
Carolyn Hennesey, via Twitter:
“Great day on set! And being directed by Stephen Moyer is just wonderful.”
Janina Gavankar, in an interview with The Vault:
“He’s awesome, he’s a great director. He has this great way of going in your face about the moment and being completely relaxed about it. He doesn’t move on …he doesn’t move on unless you, the actor, are completely happy with the take. Most directors make you THINK they are going off of you, but are really going off of the DP (director of photography) before they move on. Ha ha! Stephen is one hell of an actor, and not surprisingly, he is one hell of a director as well.”
