Here’s your chance to get both Stephen Moyer’s and Anna Paquin’s autograph together in one place. Bidding has started at £10.00 GBP. Click on picture to be directed to the Ebay auction.
From the ebay listing: Brentwood Theatre is delighted to be auctioning, as a fundraising venture, the SFX Vampires Special Edition magazine which has been signed by Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin when visiting London shortly before their engagement was announced.
Stephen is the Patron of Brentwood Theatre, having been born in Billericay, a few miles down the road. As a supporter, his awareness of the community theatre has generated a huge fan base which has generated around £10,000 in donations from international fans of True Blood.
Steve and Anna are delighted that all proceeds from the sale of this exclusively signed magazine will be supporting community theatre in Brentwood.
Brentwood Theatre (where Stephen Moyer is a patron) held their own award show last night. The awards are known as “The Brents” and it looked like everyone had a blast.
To see all the awards and their recipients and to hear some of last night’s interviews (with Brentwood Theatre Manager Mark Reed, among others) and see some photos, please follow the link to Phoenix FM.
UPDATE: No more entries accepted. The winner and donators list will be announced after Stephen Moyer selects the winning number.
STEPHEN MOYER WILL PICK THE NUMBER OF THE WINNER!!
True Blood fans have we got a treat for you!
In an effort to raise even more funds for the Brentwood Theatre Essex UK, where Stephen Moyer is a patron, we have in our possession a very RARE True Blood COLLECTORS item.
An anonymous fan who heard about our fundraiser events, donated an authentic TEST TUBE VIAL of TRU:BLOOD to True Blood News at the Nest to help raise money for Brentwood. We have decided to give the vial away to a special FAN that makes a donation below.
This tube was part of the Red Seal Mystery promotion that was sent to a limited group of people from across the country to build up interest in Season One. It was only sent by mail.
Actual Tube you can own!
This item was NEVER available for sale.
You can have the chance to own the Test Tube, the Vial of blood inside the test tube and the paper inside the tube that reads:
“Tru Blood is pure, a substitute for the real thing. It will forever alter the way we live and interact with the human world. You are one of the first to receive a sample and become a pioneer in this eminent change. We invite you to become willing participants on this journey and tell others of our kind what you think of the product. IT HAS BEGUN.”
This product is guaranteed to be 100% effective.”
We found some interesting video’s on the HBO marketing phenomenon the first one we got from HBO’s own Blood Copy.
This item will only increase in value as it becomes more rare over time. Many people that received these either drank them or threw them away not knowing what a valuable collectors item it would be. This vial has never been opened. Some have already been auctioned off on Ebay and now YOU have a chance to own one while helping out the Brentwood Theatre!
Donations are $5.00 each, donate as many times as you want. You will receive a transaction ID after your donation, usually located at the top right of your confirmation email. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU HOLD ON TO YOUR RECEIPT. If you donated $20.00, it will be viewed as 4 donations of $5.00 on event day, WHICH IS GOOD! The more you donate, the better. Each participant will be eligible to participate in the fundraising event on Sunday September 20th at 9pm est., our first Sunday without True Blood.
All participants will be mentioned at the end of the event. The Brentwood Theatre is extremely thankful to everyone who has donated and they will know who you are!
Not only will Stephen Moyer be presenting an award at the Emmy’s on Sunday night, he will be picking the number of the lucky fan to own this rare True Blood Collectible. There is still time to donate. See below for more.

Broadway to Brentwood – Back 2 Back
3 – 5 September 2009 In aid of Brentwood Theatre Trust
With the building works at Brentwood Theatre complete, ten thousand pounds still needs to be raised every year to maintain the facilities – and the Southgates of Brentwood are certainly doing their part.
Masquerade Productions was formed by mother and son team, Liz and Ian Southgate to bring together performers associated with Brentwood Theatre for a series of four concerts, raising over four thousand pounds for the ‘dressing room fund’ last year.
We recently had the opportunity to interview Mark Reed from Brentwood Theatre where Stephen Moyer is a patron. We had to tie him to a chair to make him sit still long enough, but we promised to let him go when we were done.
One thing we did find out was the project funds needed for the following year. Please see the bottom of the article for our fundraiser to help the Brentwood Theatre meet their projected goal.
TB-N: Can you us tell us about the Brentwood Theatre’s history?
MR: Brentwood Theatre originally opened in December 1993, although the idea for a theatre was first put forward fifteen years earlier. Brentwood Arts Council recognized the fact that not only does Brentwood have a huge number of performing groups; the town at that time was the largest in the country without a dedicated performance area.
It took fifteen years for the plans to be agreed and enough money to be raised to build a dedicated studio-type theatre. Although the initial plans were for a 350+ seat theatre, it soon became obvious that what we really needed was a smaller venue and so the Theatre was built to take 95 to 176 seats, or 299 standing (for live bands etc) and opened in December 1993. At that time there was insufficient money to complete the backstage facilities, and so with our final £1000 we purchased a ‘portacabin’ to be used as a temporary dressing room. Such buildings are meant to last ten years from brand new – by the time we got rid of ours last year, we had been using it for 15 years, and it was second-hand…..
The aim of Brentwood Theatre is to provide a professional standard facility for the local ‘non-professional’ (we don’t like using the word amateur as it is often used as a term of abuse) to bring their shows to us. The group will choose the production, rehearse it (usually in a school or church hall nearby), organize the costumes etc etc and come to us for the final rehearsals and performances.
TB-N: How long have you been with Brentwood? I hear you put in some really long hours; what goes into running the theatre?
MR: I used to work in London in private banking but theatre was always my hobby. I used to perform on stage but became more and more interested in publicity and marketing. I started helping out at Brentwood Theatre, turning up one or two evenings a month to sell tickets for that night’s show etc, and also put on one or two of my own shows. I then started to fall out of love with banking and when the opportunity to run the Theatre bar came up (something I had never done before) I grabbed the chance. A few months later, the administrator left and I applied for that job and, nearly eight years later, here I am.
It is long hours, but great fun. There are only three full time staff plus a load of volunteers and with so many shows, we work very long hours. We reopen on 3 September and up until the end of December there are only four days without rehearsals or shows – I won’t have to work every day, just MOST of them! Read More »
