The Summer Movie Preview by Entertainment Weekly is out and we’ve got scans of previews of some of the movies that are featuring True Blood cast members. (Sadly, none of them are in the photos. C’mon EW! You’d sell more magazines if you did!)
First up, Joe Manganiello since he is in two summer films, What to Expect When You are Expecting (out May18th) and also Magic Mike (out June 29th).
Alexander Skarsgård will be in Battleship (out in the US on May 18th).
Ryan Kwanten will be in the thriller 7500. (out in August)
Also featured, Dane DeHaan as one of the “5 to Watch”. Dane played Timbo on True Blood in Season 4, and will play in Lawless out August 31st.

Ryan Kwanten has been cast as a boxer in an upcoming biopic named Hands of Stone. Ryan will be portraying Scottish boxer Ken Buchanan who was a former world lightweight champion. Production of the movie is to begin later this year.
The film also stars Al Pacino as Ray Arcel, Gael Garcia Bernal as Roberto Duran, and Usher as Sugar Ray Leonard.
The storyline: Follows the life of Roberto Duran, who made his professional debut in 1968 as a 16-year-old and retired in 2002 at age 50. In June 1980, he defeated Sugar Ray Leonard to capture the WBC welterweight title but shocked the boxing world by returning to his corner in the November rematch, saying ‘no mas’ (no more).

Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer attended the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party at the City of West Hollywood Park on February 26, 2012 in Beverly Hills, which benefited the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Ryan Kwanten also attended the Elton John party; who has attended the party for the past three years, says it’s the best bash in town for several reasons. “Not just the fact that you’re watching the Oscars, but obviously the awareness and the inspiration behind his mission,” Kwanten said. “There’s luminaries (here) from every industry, and I’ve had some interesting, inspiring, hilarious conversations.”
As you have already heard, Ryan Kwanten will be making a guest appearance on the TV show “New Girl” that stars that adorable Zooey Deschanel. Ryan will be playing Oliver, a boring love interest. (Ryan, boring? Never!)
E! News had a feature on their show today on Ryan, Zooey and some of the New Girl cast talking about the Valentine’s Day episode (airing on February 14th). Co-star Max Greenfield says: “Here is my ultimate problem with True Blood,” Greenfield says. “They’re setting a bar for other men that’s just too hard to attain. You see the bodies on these guys? We’re just here on Fox, with so-so bodies. But we’re trying really hard.”
This video is from E! Online, but in the one that aired on the E! Network had one of the newscasters saying that Ryan plays a werepanther on True Blood. Was that a mistake, or will it happen in Season 5?

The trailer for Ryan Kwanten’s new thriller “7500″ has been released. This does look like a good thriller, no? I wonder if it will be the movie I think about every time I board a plane? (Like how I think of “Jaws” every time I step into a big body of water.) What do you think? Will you go see it?
