The Emmys will be broadcast this Sunday and in preparation, the True Blood cast is out and about doing pre-Emmy parties and gift lounges. I love it when everyone poses with free swag! Awards season has officially begun! The 63rd annual primetime Emmy telecast airs this Sunday so that means lots and lots of parties to laud television’s finest. Last night, Joe Manganiello, along with former cast members Michelle Forbes and Grey Damon (regulars on The Killing and The Nine Lives of Chloe King, respectively) appeared at TVLine’s Emmy in Levi’s Haus, Los Angeles.

I happened to stumble upon a cool show on The Sundance Channel. They air a series called Love/Lust and there are shows dedicated to Sex Symbols, Social Network, The Bikini and The Undead.

The synopisis for The Undead: A study of the popularity of zombies and vampires in past and present-day cultures. (documentary)

Why am I posting it here? Because not only do they talk about True Blood and the Sookie Stackhouse novels, but they actually talk to Kristin Bauer van Straten, Nelsan Ellis, Charlaine Harris and Michelle Forbes.

The show talks about the origins of the vampire story, zombies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Anne Rice novels, etc.

This video shows just the True Blood parts. It’s almost 7 minutes in length. Please at least watch 5:36 – Nelsan says “Shii-ttt” and it is the cutest thing.

The 2011 Primetime Emmy Nominations were announced this morning. Sadly, True Blood was snubbed in the major categories. (EW feels our pain in this Emmy Snub List.) The good news is, True Blood was nominated 4 four awards:
