According to BoomTron, Mariana Klaveno (Bill’s maker Lorena) will portray recurring character, Carissa Morris, a Florida University professor, on Showtime’s 6th season of Dexter. Hurrah!
Bitten2 will take place August 15th through 17th at the Park Inn in Northampton, UK. Joe Manganiello, Mariana Klaveno & Mehcad Brooks will be in attendance signing autographs, participating in Q&A sessions and more. Mariana Klaveno
In honor of the Season 3 DVD release, Digital Spy gave a shout to Mariana Klaveno, who played the always fabulously dressed and devilish Lorena. Although sadly Lorena is no longer amongst the living (or undead), this interview gives us fresher insight into how Mariana carefully crafted her character. Here’s a snippet:
Why do you think Lorena is still so obsessed with Bill after such a long time?
“It’s a good question. I think that she’d obviously been looking for a companion for quite some time before she met Bill. She really desired and absolutely needed someone to walk the Earth with her. As an actor, I came up with my own little story of what happened to her as a human and that sort of informed why she was so hellbent on having a loving companion with her, and she would get it by God, no matter what. She was denied love or it was taken away from her in some tragic way in her human life and that’s why she was so obsessed with having Bill. Why Bill? I think because he possessed the qualities that she deemed worthy. The irony is that those very qualities are what prevents him from ever loving her back. I think at his core he is a really wonderful, worthy, dignified man and that of course makes him love Sookie and not Lorena!”

This is the first music video and single from the pop duo’s self-titled debut EP. Mariana is a fan of David & Devine’s music and generously helped them to their debut.

Yup. You heard that right! Anna Paquin will star as Kim in a short film named “The Carrier” directed by Scott Schaeffer. Scott is first assistant director of True Blood and also for Big Love, among others.
This short will for sure become a nice piece of True Blood collector’s memorabilia not only because Anna Paquin is starring in it, but because Mariana Klaveno is too, plus Deborah Ann Woll and Carrie Preston are lending their voices.

Fresh off her head-turning role as Bill’s maker Lorena on True Blood, Mariana Klaveno has booked a guest stint on CBS’ forthcoming spinoff Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. The actress will play Veronica, a spotlight-hungry hellraiser who excels at manipulating the opposite sex. Sounds like Lorena minus the fangs.
