Joe Manganiello, an avid football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, makes no secret about his devotion to the sport of football – so it should be no surprise that the actor is in Indianapolis this weekend for Super Bowl in XLVI. Last night, he attended the GQ, Lacoste And Patron Tequila Celebrate The Super Bowl party in Indianapolis at The Stutz Building He also tweeted: “Werewolf in Indianapolis.”
Check out some more photos of Joe at the event and also remember you can watch Joe play in the DirectTV Celebrity Beach Bowl which will air today, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. EST. Thanks to ImHereForSookie for the pics!

DAMAN Magazine must really like True Blood actors. First they had Ryan Kwanten, then Jim Parrack, and now Joe Manganiello. Joe is featured on the February 2012 magazine. Now updated with a gallery pics and excerpt from the interview.
DA MAN: What was the biggest motivation for you to choose to pursue a career in showbiz?
Joe Manganiello: I grew up a misfit. I never fit in. I had all of these parts that were in direct conflict with each other. I was an athlete, but I was extremely artistic. I was a big strong kid who was also very sensitive and empathetic. I was a jock who was good at math and chess and loved to read … I didn’t know what group to hang out with in school until I started acting. When I did, I realized everyone was as weird and out of place as I was, and that I could combine all of those weird opposing characteristics together and create characters that made sense to me in my weird way. Acting was the only place that I ever felt like I belonged so went for it with everything I had.

Joe Manganiello & Matt Bomer - Photo by David Giesbrecht/USA Network
Joe Manganiello will be guest appearing in an episode of “White Collar” airing tomorrow night on USA Network at 10:00 p.m. (ET). The show stars his former classmate Matt Bomer.
“The producers brought it up to me, and I said I would love for Joe to do it,” Mr. Bomer said in an interview earlier this month. “We reached out to him, and being an old friend, he was excited to come and he did a great job.”
Mr. Bomer stars on “White Collar” (10 p.m. Tuesday) as Neal Caffrey, a charming con artist who partners with a straightforward FBI agent, Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), to catch criminals. In this week’s episode, Burke’s wife (Tiffani Thiessen) suspects a new neighbor (Mr. Manganiello) is up to no good.
“I have to go undercover and suss out what he’s up to,” Mr. Bomer said, noting he and Mr. Manganiello have stayed in touch since their CMU days. “We were always bumping into each other at things and we’d check in, and this past year has really brought us back together in so many ways.”
The video is by Rob Owen of Joe & Matt’s hometown newspaper, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. You can view it

The September 2011 issue of Australian AXN magazine features a picture of Alexander Skarsgård, but the interview inside the magazine is about True Blood’s creator, Alan Ball. Alan talked to the magazine before his first trip to Australia about sex with vampires, casting True Blood, and politics of the show as an allegory for the gay rights movement. Some of the other male stars are also featured inside the magazine, as you can see in the scans below.
Alan Ball: “I think there’s also something really sexy about the notion of being so incredibly intimate that you share your essence with someone. The idea of feeding on each other is kind of insane, but at the same time very alluring.”

That Joe Manganiello sure has a lot of Pittsburgh Steelers pride. He attended the Backstage Creations Celebrity Retreat at The NFLPA Pulse Awards at Club Nokia on January 20, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. He and wide receiver Antonio Brown presented the “Mr. Endurance” Award to Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver Hines Ward (#86).
The gallery below has pictures that Joe tweeted himself (@joemanganiello), pictures from Pittsburgh Steelers QB Charlie Batch, and by Mark Sullivan/WireImage. Plus a big thank you to I’m Here For Sookie!

Janina, Ryan, Carrie & Joe
We’ve got even more Golden Globes After Party Red Carpet chat from some True Blood stars. Janina Gavankar posted this video by MTV on her blog that features her, Ryan Kwanten, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello. Thanks Janina and MTV!
Unfortunately for all of us “True Blood” fans, we still have quite a wait for the premiere of season five. And while the waiting does indeed suck, MTV News was lucky enough to attend HBO’s fancy Golden Globes party on Sunday where we encountered not one but four excellent cast members—Ryan Kwanten, Janina Gavankar, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello—who gave us a little preview of what’s in store for their characters.
“Jason is hanging onto every shred of humanity as it is, and he was lucky to survive last season. He was on the brink of death several times,” Ryan said of Jason Stackhouse’s failed werepanther transformation. “This season he’s finally becoming a man, I think. He’s got responsibility in his life. He’s in a position of authority too because Andy is not doing too well with being a sheriff.”
