Allan Hyde Singing Bad Things to the fans
Feeling a little disappointed by the absence of the True Blood guys at the early inaugural press conference, Jody and ZZ were excited to share a couple of fangirl days at this fantasy convention held in Bonn, Germany. The schedule had a couple of changes, and Allan Hyde was replacing Sam Trammell and Nelsan Ellis at the Friday Q&A, while the rumor among fans was that Nelsan could have cancelled as he was nowhere to be seen and nobody could tell for sure why he had disappeared from the official schedule Q&A. The truth is that not even the organization was confirming or denying the rumor, and not until a tweet came from the official convention this evening telling the fans that they were picking up Nelsan at the airport, were Lafayette’s fans able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they will get to see him onstage at some point.
So we had the pleasure to attend Allan Hyde’s Q&A session, and he was a delight to listen to, being warm and bloody fun to his public and definitely, a real entertainer who took our breath away with his ease and savoir faire.
This is a small resume of the session, which opened when Allan made a brilliant entrance singing part of Jace Everett’s “Bad Things” to a delighted audience.
Allan Hyde has finally released his short film, “Stupid Clown”. Allan and his friends– fellow actor Johnny Simmons and photographer/director Tom Banks embarked on a journey to the Mojave desert to shoot this short film, written and directed by himself.
“STUPID CLOWN is theater of the absurd as a road trip short film. Vincent and Eugene are on the road and though the distractions are plenty they are determined not to let anything slow them down.” – Allan Hyde

The folks at RingCon have just announced a special “Fantasy Night” for Friday, October 14th 2011 that will be held in the hall Gondolin. Wizard students, Hobbits and dwarfs, vampires, werewolves, shape shifters and other creatures of fantastic literature, all are warmly welcome. Of course civilians are welcome, too. ;-) At the bar, among other drinks, mixed cocktails will be served to match the theme of the night. Their DJ Rick will entertain you with suitable music – a mix between rock, medieval rock, film music and party music, you will hopefully dance the night away and celebrate with us and leave early in the morning. Doors open at 9.30 p.m., the minimum age for participation at Fantasy Night is 16 years, those under 18 must leave the party at 0.00 clock. (I think that means midnight.)
