The new issue of Entertainment Weekly has a couple of pages on the fae club set on Season 5 of True Blood. Set designer, Suzuki Ingerslev, gives her behind-the-scenes details on the set and props.
Grotesque visages framing the doorways have special meaning to Ingerslev. “They’re a reference to season 4, when the faeries turned into goblins,” she says of the custom art. “The face is the thing I’m most proud of, even if the audience doesn’t get it.”
EW sure loves Joe Manganiello. He is featured in their ad for Entertainment Weekly Events (at their Comic-Con celebration on July 14th).
The magazine is dated August 10, 2012 (issue #1219) and contains 26 pages on 50 years of James Bond if you are interested. It is on newsstands tomorrow.
In this week’s past episode, we got more than a good look at how werewolves get down when Alcide and Rikki consumated their relationship all over the Herveaux bedroom. So when Joe Manganiello went on “Access Hollywood Live,” the topic of filming sex scenes was obviously a point of discussion with host Kit Hoover and guest host Derek Hough. Joe also revealed that his and Kelly Overton’s scene may be first sex scene to involve Hong Kong action wires. Check out the video of his interview where he talks about what’s it like to film a sex scene and teases what’s next for Alcide’s storyline.
Three Truebies are in the new Entertainment Weekly this week. Kristin Bauer van Straten‘s Pam made the SoundBites (quotes of the week) again this week for her line, “Okay, break’s over. Time to get back up on that pole.”
Stephen Moyer is in EW this week in the music section. He tells us about 4 of the songs on his iPod. Tom Waits is his ultimate hero.
Joe Manganiello is featured in a humor article on “The Boys of Summer”. There is an illustration of Joe (see right) with his fellow Magic Mike co-stars. They describes Joe stitching one of his G-strings in the movie as “beyond adorable.”
The issue (#1218) is dated August 3, 2012 and hits newsstands on Friday, July 27, 2012.
