A third True Blood sneak peek clip can be found on HBO.com. This one is called “An Unexepected Guest”. It features Sookie (Anna Paquin). I won’t say who the guest is, you’ll have to watch if you want to find out!
The newest issue of TV Guide Magazine(dated August 13–26, 2012, a double issue) has their annual survey of the highest paid salaries of television stars. Their sources for the salary amounts are conversations with agents, network executives and studio heads.
Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård are on the list for drama actors. TVG says, ‘premium cable networks such as HBO and Showtime can go higher with series that produce only 13 episodes a year.’
British science fiction magazine SciFiNow has a cover feature on True Blood in this month’s issue. Although there are interviews with Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgård and Alan Ball, they seem to be the same responses from the press conference that was held in June, so you might get a sense of déjà vu when reading this. And since this season five is yet to air on British TV, this article looks forward at that season and doesn’t really reveal anything new to the fans who have already seen the new episodes.
Here’s some good news for UK Truebies – Season five comes to FX channel on Monday 17th October, at 10pm!
Please take the time and read this wonderful interview with Stephen Moyer…he always gives a great interview, right? And this one doesn’t disappoint. He talks to The Advocate.com about his gay audience, gay scenes on True Blood, the 20101 Rolling Stone cover and even stripping!
There has been criticism that True Blood has alienated some viewers because it’s become “too gay.” What’s your response?
Is there such a thing as too gay? We live in a very different world than we grew up in, so if people can’t embrace that aspect of our show, then that’s a shame. I certainly don’t think it’s specifically gay, but our show ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of people. We have an incredibly broad audience, one of the widest demographics in terms of sexuality and age groups, so obviously we’re doing something right.
Speaking of sexual tension, when will Bill and his adversary Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) just get it over with already and have angry vampire sex?
I’ve been asking myself that question for a long time. Alex and I would absolutely embrace that. Last year, when Sookie had her fantasy about the two of them with her, we even suggested it. Of course, Bill and Eric together isn’t necessarily Sookie’s fantasy.

Here is a sneak peek of the magazine, on newsstands July 10th.
On embracing motherhood:
“I have a side that’s very nesty, and another that thinks, ‘Let’s lock up the house and go away for five months.’”
On how she landed the role of Sookie on True Blood:
“I’m a big believer in ‘fake it to make it.’ I went out and bought some incredibly short shorts and a push-up bra that I knew were going to be a part of my new life. It’s not that I’m a prude, but I’m not a massive exhibitionist, either.”
On her image:
“I’m my harshest critic…but at a certain point, you need to embrace who you are and the whole package that comes along with it. For me, it was cutting myself some slack and not trying to be something that I think is perfect or ideal.
On steamy scenes with Alexander Skarsgård on True Blood:
“We feel completely comfortable together. Steve [Moyer] and Alex are buddies. It’s nothing like, ‘Oh, hi, nice to meet you. Now let’s take off our clothes and go into the fog.’ Everyone is very respectful of each other’s boundaries…They’re all very gentlemanly about it.”
