Anna Paquin Stephen Moyer 298x300 season 5As True Blood’s resident Brit actor, Stephen Moyer has been doing some more publicity for the start of season four on FX this week (5th February, UK Trubies!), and this week demonstrated his multi-tasking skills to This Is Nottingham while discussing how he unexpectedly found love and success on the show.

“I certainly wasn’t looking for a wife when I started,” he says laughing.

“Neither of us were looking. And perhaps that’s the point – when you’re looking in the wife shop, you can never find one. And then one comes along when you’re least expecting it.”

“The interesting thing about it, honestly, is that I had decided I wasn’t going to come to America that year for pilot season. And of course as soon as you say no, the bosses are much more interested than they usually are.”

More intriguing is this little tidbit he offered regarding the future for Bill and Sookie in True Blood:

The actor hinted that season five will see more changes for Bill and Sookie.

“There is something that happens at the beginning of the season which changes their relationship again,” he teased.

Behind-the-Scenes Photos from True Blood 503

Our friends over at Skarsgardfans.com have some more exclusive photos that they shared with us. Lucky ladies!

True Blood production trucks were set up outside a market and a home in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles today. The filming inside the market was earlier in the morning and the crew moved from that location to the home a few blocks away. The filming was for episode 5.03 “Whatever I am, You Made Me”.

According to the production call sheet, the filming at the market had Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten)  running into Miss Steeler (played by Melissa Page Hamilton). Their meeting led them to go to Miss Steeler’s home to “rekindle” a romance perhaps. The images below are from the filming today 1/24/12. Waiting sucks but the little bits of news help make the wait less painful!

On my walk back to my car I was able to catch a glimpse of Ryan Kwanten (shirtless) leaving the house being used for filming:

Janina, Ryan, Carrie & Joe

We’ve got even more Golden Globes After Party Red Carpet chat from some True Blood stars. Janina Gavankar posted this video by MTV on her blog that features her, Ryan Kwanten, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello. Thanks Janina and MTV!

Unfortunately for all of us “True Blood” fans, we still have quite a wait for the premiere of season five. And while the waiting does indeed suck, MTV News was lucky enough to attend HBO’s fancy Golden Globes party on Sunday where we encountered not one but four excellent cast members—Ryan Kwanten, Janina Gavankar, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello—who gave us a little preview of what’s in store for their characters.

“Jason is hanging onto every shred of humanity as it is, and he was lucky to survive last season. He was on the brink of death several times,” Ryan said of Jason Stackhouse’s failed werepanther transformation. “This season he’s finally becoming a man, I think. He’s got responsibility in his life. He’s in a position of authority too because Andy is not doing too well with being a sheriff.”

Christopher Heyerdahl casting callDeadline is reporting that Christopher Heyerdahl will be playing an ancient vampire on True Blood this season in a recurring role.

Christopher Heyerdahl, who plays an ancient vampire in the Twilight Saga movies, will now play one in another screen adaptation of a popular book series — this time on TV. Heyerdahl is joining HBO’s hit vampire drama True Blood in a recurring role. He will portray Dieter Braun, an ancient, powerful vampire who plays a large part in the intelligence of the Authority and especially enjoys enhanced interrogation. That is familiar territory for Sanctuary alum Heyerdahl, who played the ancient Volturi vampire Marcus in three of the Twilight movies: New Moon, Breaking Dawn Part 1 and the upcoming Part 2 (photo on left). Additionally, he played a demon in an arc on the CW’s Supernatural. Heyerdahl, repped by Open Entertainment’s Lesa Kirk, currently co-stars on the AMC drama series Hell On Wheels playing Norwegian badass The Swede. The period Western was recently renewed for a second season.

Dream Eric Sookie Bill alexander skarsgard

Thank you Alexis for asking TVGuide.com a question that we want to know:

Is there still hope for Sookie and Eric on True Blood? — Alexis
NATALIE:
Considering that Sookie swore off both Bill and Eric in the season finale, it’ll be a while before we see any movement on that front. “The feelings are still there for both Eric and Bill,” Alexander Skarsgard tells us. “The attraction is still there, but they’re preoccupied, and so is she.” Instead, look for Bill and Eric to team up while the vampire world begins to both expand and collapse in the coming season. “The guys have usually tried to kill each other and now suddenly have to learn to become friends and protect each other and work together.”
