anna paquin deborah ann woll true blood season 3 season 3 reviews ep 1 bad blood alan ball Entertainment Weekly, in their Special Characters Double Issue (available now), not only included a special three-page spread of the Season Three cast photo, they also called the Season Three Premiere the “Must Watch of the Week” and gave the episode an A-.

Ken Tucker wrote: “Picking up right where last season left off, Alan Ball’s wild ride puts the pedal to the metal: Bill (Stephen Moyer) is kidnapped, Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) making his entrance naked (I know – you’re not gonna bother reading the rest of this), Tara (Rutina Wesley) in dangerous grief over the death of Eggs, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) bedding two girls while secretly trying to become a “better man,” teen vamp Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) trying and failing to control her adolescent hormones, and dear, sweet Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) recommending “tequila and Klonopin” as a surefire way of getting through hard times. Plus, the return of Evan Rachel Wood’s Queen and an increased role for Eric’s curvy underling Pam (Kristin Bauer). True Blood is, if anything, faster, sleeker, more vicious, more fun than it already was. Yum-yum.”

I’m torn about spoilers. Part of me (that would be the fan(g)) has no self-control. On the other hand, the sensible part of me doesn’t want to know, and that side of my brain has always regretted major spoilers.

For the moment, at least, the sensible side of me is beating my fan(g) into submission. But the Nest is committed to bringing you the most up-to-date information that we can. You can decide for yourself if you dare to know…

I haven’t read it, but televisionaryblog.com is the place to be if you’re hungry for more and just can’t wait.

Edit: Okay, so I made it about an hour before reading… *hangs head in shame* Actually, it’s a very well-written over-view, and it doesn’t give away spoilers (nothing that the Nest hasn’t already posted). I have a feeling that’s a contractual thing, but whatever the reason, I’m extremely grateful. All it served was to fan the flames of my enthusiasm for Season Three (not that I needed any help, but still). It seems as though Alan Ball and his team of writers brought their A game, and I cannot wait!

Annoyed that you don’t a) own a smartphone and a DVR, b) don’t live in LA, Philadelphia or NYC and you c) can’t be bothered with fiddly codes and shit? Never fear, your kindly auntie HBO has provided the exclusive Season 3 clip on their website for a spell and it is now on Youtube. As you will recall, fans were supposed to watch the Lost finale last night to obtain the secret code to unlock the clip. Enjoy the nekkidness and boasting (6 hours? Really?) and rather snarky Ms Stackhouse. Props to ole Sook for keeping her eyes firmly above the waist.

Updated with actual video. With thanks to Zazazu.

C.C. Sheffield ~ Missy in Season 3

A couple weeks ago, casting was announced that C.C. Sheffield was selected to play the part of Missy in Season 3, episode one – “Pack of Wolves.” We had a chance to catch up with CC and here she is, on the set.

TB-N: How does it feel to be a part of True Blood?

CCS: I feel very excited I’m huge fan of Alan Ball, and all his work. So I was honored as an actress to work on a show that has top notch quality writing, and acting. Oh and hot hot guys.

TB-N: We hear the cast and the set is a great place to be. Have you had any funny moments yet?

CCS: The cast is so welcoming and very professional. After my episode’s table read the director introduced me to Ryan Kwanten; to break the ice, I said, “So I’m gonna be ******* you,” and he laughed. The director assured me that every shot is planned and it will be fun. I was very impressed by Jim Parrack he is a great actor, he studies at Playhouse West, he puts up plays every year on his own dime. I was bemoaning theater in Los Angeles, and it was inspiring to talk to actors who are self motivated in their commitment to the craft.
TB-N:  Do you have any other projects in the works or are you focusing on True Blood?

CCS: This year is exciting; I have a single I wrote called “Escape Me” on Tiesto’s new album “Kalidescope.” He will be performing Coachella and I will hopefully be joining him. My own solo record, “Golden Grime” will be  digitally released in March. As far as on the sliver screen, I have bit part in Sofia Coppola’s movie “Somewhere” coming out this summer. Also [I'll be in] “Street Dreams,” Rob Drydek’s skate movie. I was the female lead alongside all-pro skaters Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Ryan Sheckler; that DVD is going to be released this year.

CC and Ryan ~ On the set

TB-N: I see you are filming with Ryan; how has that experience been? Ryan is known for getting naked – are you following his lead? :)

CCS: Yes of course. I’m into nudity.

TB-N: Without giving anything away, can you tell us what’s in store for the fans in season 3?
Lots of action and flesh.

Here are some photos from the set. We might guess what Jason Stackhouse is doing with two beautiful women in robes but what I want to know, is how the prop lamp is going to meet its demise? If you notice the lamp says “break away.” This means it’s a stunt lamp; you can get smacked in the head with it and it won’t hurt. I didn’t think I could be more excited about season 3, but the clues keep coming and the excitement builds. C.C., we hope you have fun with Jason Stackhouse.

Here’s a video of C.C. Sheffield’s “Escape Me” from Tiësto’s album “Kaleidoscope.”

tracksuit 199x300 spoilers season 3 sam trammell true blood cast nelsan ellis ep 1 bad blood alexander skarsgard

OK, I’m sure everyone’s very very excited to be reassured that Alexander Skarsgård has already had some tasty nekkid scenes shot for season 3. What I’m excited for though, is what Sam Trammel said about the “shocking”  scene in the first episode. Please please please let that scene be what I think it might be!

Good news for True Blood fans!

We’re told we can expect much more nudity during Season 3 of the hit HBO vampire series, which began filming again last month.

A lot of people will be getting naked this season,” TB‘s Todd Lowe (aka Terry Bellefleur)  told us at the 16th Annual SAG Awards Saturday night.

In fact, according to castmate Carrie Preston, baring it all is especially a cinch for hunky 33-year-old Swede Alexander Skarsgård

“Alex is not shy about getting naked at all!” said Preston, who plays Arlene Fowler. “And there will be lots of those kinds of scenes with Alex this season.”

Lowe said, “He’s already been naked a time or two so far since we’ve gotten back to filming.”

Nelsan Ellis, who plays same-sex lovin’ Lafayette, said, “There are a lot of hunky dudes and beautiful women who have been added to the cast, so it doesn’t surprise me that more clothes are coming off.”

“I’m not having any sex yet,” Trammell told us. “They really should provide Sam with more sex.”

But then he added, “There is a suprising—well, shocking—scene in the first episode. Some people will be happy and some people will not.”
