Ever wonder what’s it like to get your spine ripped out by King Russell?

When We Pretend We’re Dead Eight Actors On Their Death Scenes The Awl ep 6 what do you know about love

Poor anchorman, he was just trying to inform the public.

As if any Truebie could ever forget Russell Edgington’s on air monologue right after he rips out the spine of a news anchor on live television, John Burke, the actor who was de-spineulated, wrote for The Awl, what’s it like to prepare and film one of the most memorable deaths of the series:

I think we did the scene about seven times, and it was just filled with blood. The whole camera crew, everybody was covered with plastic, and the thing would explode and they would descend on me with shaving cream, because apparently shaving cream gets the fake blood out of your skin, and then we’d reload and do it again. The blood itself is pretty much what you get on Halloween in any typical shop, and the consistency is kind of thin, but there’s a lot of it.

The hardest part was when [Denis/Russell] swept me off the desk. It was weird, I had to be dead and move, which was a somewhat complicated maneuver. The first time or two I didn’t get it right, and they came over and said ‘Listen, you’re dead now; you can’t lift your head; you can’t look up.’ So I kept my head down and tried to draw the least amount of attention to myself.

Can a romance work between Alcide & Debbie?

As we all know, Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) will return to True Blood in tonight’s episode. We keep hearing that he will not be alone, and we’re thinking that he will be with his former fiancé, Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan). You have to wonder why he could go back to such a (for the lack of a better word) bitch, but he has described her as the “love of his life.”

Alcide was by no means satisfied of killing his rival, the vicious and also V addicted King Russell’s servant, Cooter.

“Do you think it feels good to kill a wolf my ex-girlfriend loves? Well it don’t. Don’t matter if he was bangin’ her while we was still together or he’s a drug addict or a criminal…It still tears my guts out to see Debbie in so much pain. Not to mention killin’ one of my own kind. But that bastard was coming for me. He would have torn out my throat. God only knows what he would have done with Sookie and Tara. He had to go.”

This is essential to S4 why?

XFinity asked Alan Ball which episodes are worth going back and checking out before season 4 begins. He gave them a list of nine and the reasons why the episodes are integral. He said, “It’s tough because so much has happened before, and I also have this season and parts of next season in my head too”

So without further ado, here are Alan Ball’s most essential True Blood episodes for us to watch in preparation for S4:

Season 1, Episode 2
“This is the first time Sookie (Anna Paquin) drank Bill’s (Stephen Moyer) blood, and the first time they kissed.”

Season 1, Episode 5
“This has the Civil War flashback and told how Bill was made. Also, it’s where Gran was found dead.”

Season 2, Episode 4
“In this episode, Maryann (Michelle Forbes) threw Tara a (Rutina Wesley) birthday party and you finally got a sense of what she was up to.” Read More »
