I know this can be considered “old news” but if you are like me, you like any news about True Blood that you can get. Life Story magazine put out an issue mostly about Twilight, but there are 6 pages of an episode guide to Season 2, complete with comments by Alan Ball.
Alan Ball’s comments about episode 209: “I Will Rise Up”. “My favorite episode of [the] season. I love the whole story between Eric and Godric, and Sookie gets to see Eric’s human side. Then there’s the whole choice by Godric to move on; his attitude of, ‘I’m done and I want to embrace whatever is going to happen to me now, even if it means oblivion, even if it means the end.’ That last sequence was tough to shoot, because we shot part of it on a building rooftop in Los Angeles – where we basically had 20 minutes to get it because of the light – and then we shot part of it on a stage with green screen, then we went to Dallas and shot background plates so that you would have recognizable landmarks. Then there were all the special effects technology questions of how we were going to have Godric go up in flames. So it was tough, but I thought it paid off.”

Sad news to report today. April Stirton, who worked as a stuntwoman in the episode, Frenzy on True Blood season 2 has died.
She was riding her motorcycle west on US Highway 101 on Tuesday morning when she attempted to pass a tow-truck, The AP reports. She was going about 55 mph when she lost control, fell off her bike and was struck by the back wheels of the tow-truck.
The former acrobat died at the scene. There were no other injuries reported.
April worked on films such as Circle of Eight and the TV show CSI.
We send condolences to April’s family.

Very pretty vampires in charming bathing costumes + cousin Hadley
Tonight is the True Blood Viewer’s Club hosted on the Blue Wiki. For those of you who are new to the Viewer’s Club, we’ll be recapping, ripping apart and theorizing each episode of True Blood Season 2 – one episode at time, every Tuesday. Last week we did episode 10 and had a blast.
Tonight @ 8pm EST, we’ll be discussing episode 11: “Frenzy.”
Here are the details for viewer’s club; we hope you’ll join us.
The Viewer’s Club is hosted at at Bills Wikid Women on Tuesday nights at 8pm EST. This event is hosted by the Red Wiki’s GEG and co-hosted by our own Aem. All are welcome.
Come on by and have some fun! From the first episode to the last we will discover things we overlooked. There may be some spoilers from the books but please rest assured, this is Alan Ball’s world. Most of the spoilers that came out last year were changed up in the series which made everything fresh and new. That is the brilliance of Alan Ball. He knows how to keep us teetering on the razor’s edge.
So watch the episode and then join us for chat! Beverages are optional but encouraged for maximum enjoyment…

Plot Bunny Goes AWOL, Leaves Easter Egg Behind
This week on True Blood, Bill’s tight ass jeans are more compelling than Evan Rachel Wood’s acting skills, Sookie’s cousin is a redneck banquet, Lafayette and Sookie swap creepy Eric stories, Tara is the biggest ungrateful bitch in the history of ungrateful bitches, Jason gives Andy some pussy hound tips and Maryanne seems in no hurry to go fetch Sam from Merlotte’s. Wanna go shoot some boring zombies, anyone?
Yeah I know, I’m kinda late and I’m sitting on the naughty step in deep disgrace, banished by my webmistress buddies and deprived of smokes and vino as I type. But bitches please, give an unpaid snark scribbler a break. Y’all lucky I’m here, as an unfortunate and retarded accident skiing this weekend nearly resulted in me being dead, and not the fangy, sexy kind of dead either. And I assure you, as I was hurtling face first down a mountainside, devoid of skis, poles or dignity, all I could think about was missing True Blood and not being able to write this here recap. Freaky devotion no? Right, my grovelling is done, now I can have a bitch about this week’s show and hobble through events. I laughed till I puked last week at the saucer eyed random adventures, Jason the legendary Fake God and Terry’s organisational skills, but this week the show wasted everyone’s time with yet more of this but like less funny. And left a mess of loose ends to tie up and hello, only one episode left to do so? My WTF list of stuff I want answers to is sooooo long I won’t go into it here, but this episode left me irritable, baffled, and only occasionally horny and amused. I know I wasn’t the only one either. Boo, hiss.

Maenad schmaenad, let's play Yahtzee!
Bill’s torment at the hands of crazy ass women is not over, it seems. We begin with our fidgety, and now back to Season One hotness ‘nice’ vampire, meeting with the Queen of Louisiana, who’s busy snacking on her gal pal’s femoral tastiness. Flouncing, randoming and whatevering like a bit part bimbo in The Hills, the deeply disappointing Sophie Anne seems to be ole buddies with Bill and knows about Sookie (hmm), but is still childishly disinclined to give him the info he needs so he can burn the BMW back up the road to Bon Temps and stop girlfriend from getting in the heroic shit again. Meanwhile at the Maison de Compton, Mrs. Fortenberry is getting the cobwebs swept away from her lady bits courtesy of Jessica biting her, but Hoyt is outraged, he escorts his frisky momma out after giving Jess a few nasty break up words, and she wails in grief and hopefully whizzes off into the night to bite a few more tedious zombies. Drink up while daddy’s not around to tell you off, honey. Read More »

You know I love True Blood, if I didn’t, would I be spending all my days here? But this “Frenzy” left me delirious and I just need to get it out. Agree with me or don’t, but I just need to throw this out into the world for sanity’s sake…
Personally I never felt attracted to fantasy movies, I was the one to say “C’mon that cannot happen!” and then everybody would shut me up. I used to think that magic was used to cover absurdities and the plot holes of inconsistent scripts.
But everything changed the first time I saw Bill Compton walking through Merlotte’s door. What the hell? I would even watch a hospital drama if Bill was the surgeon. No, really, I loved the magical world of True Blood the same way I loved the anxious and twisty world of Six Feet Under. I immersed myself in a land where everything was possible, and I decided to believe it. The wit, the irony, the lightening strikes of black humor, and above all, the intense love story of Bill and Sookie made the impossible become, well… true.
The episodes 11. I don’t know what’s wrong with number 11, but from now onwards, it will become my unlucky number.
