Mark Steines from Entertainment Tonight tweeted this pic of himself, Alex & Taylor on the set of 'Battleship'
If you haven’t heard that Alexander Skarsgård will be in the upcoming film ‘Battleship’, then you must be living in a cave somewhere. The movie has been premiering all over the world but it will not open in the US until May 18th. This weekend he is in Hawaii promoting the film with other his co-stars Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna. We’ve got pictures of the photo call that took place in Hawaii yesterday. The pictures are all from Zimbio with one from Renee from Extra TV.
There are a few things on television that we need to report that are coming up this week (& next month) that are Alexander Skarsgård-related:
Reminder that tonight will be a way-too-short Waiting Sucks of Eric & Pam. It will air right before Game of Thrones airs at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
Tomorrow night MTV will air a 4-minute “MTV First” on ‘Battleship’. It starts at 7:56 p.m (April 30th)
Tuesday night HBO will air “Making of ‘Battleship’” from 9:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (May 1st)
Next month ‘Straw Dogs’ will be shown on the premium TV-channel Starz starting on May 19th.
Also of note: Alex and his co-stars will be in Colombia May 1–3 to promote ‘Battleship’. (And don’t forget the LA premiere will be on May 10th, and the True Blood premiere will be held on May 30th.)
We finally got our hands on the April 14—27th issue of the Malaysian magazine Hot today. The magazine has quite stunning pictures of Alexander Skarsgård in it, and an interview about the upcoming movie Battleship.
“If the characters and relationships don’t work, it doesn’t matter how cool the monsters or aliens are.”
Did you play the game Battleship growing up?
Yes, but it was the old-school one with pegs, not the electronic version. I remember eating the pegs in kindergarten. They were delicious [laughs].
What did you do in Hawaii in your free time?
I went to the North Shore to surf and also to Kauai. I had never been to Hawaii before. It’s not a bad place to shoot a movie.
IconFilmsAustralia has released the trailer for the new Ryan Kwanten film ‘Not Suitable for Children’.
Jonah (Kwanten) is a freewheeling guy in the prime of his life, who after learning he will be infertile in a month, has to find someone to have a baby with before it’s too late. This twist of fate sees Jonah, with the help of his best friends (Snook & Corr), embark on a crazy caper to help him sow his seed as much as possible, and ultimately find the “one” in time.
The movie poster for Ryan Kwanten‘s upcoming film ‘Not Suitable for Children’ has been released, along with a couple other movie stills.
Not Suitable For Children sees Ryan Kwanten star as Jonah, “a young playboy who learns he has one month until he becomes infertile sets out to procreate as much as possible”.
You can LIKE the movie on their Facebook page. The Not Suitable for Children Facebook page keeps adding more pictures of Ryan Kwanten. This one was added with “Before settling on ‘NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN’, hundreds of titles were considered… including: ‘MOTHERLODE’… ‘THE FINAL FERTILE MONTH OF JONAH’… ‘BABYMAKER’… ‘JONAH’S JUICE’… ‘GET BORN’… and ‘HAVING A BALL’.”
In the May issue of GQ magazine, you will find another article written by a woman (this one is by Lauren Bans) that seems to take offense of the men that appear shirtless in television/movies. (Last fall, Julieanne Smolinski wrote about too much nudity in film, also in GQ). They do not mention True Blood, but they show a picture of Alcide (Joe Manganiello) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) as “Supernatural Himbos.” They do show a larger picture from Magic Mike (Joe included).
They say a “himbo” is a man that is more attractive than he is smart. I don’t think anyone is arguing Magic Mike is going to be held in high esteem as say, The King’s Speech or The Artist, but let’s face it: it’s going to be one wild night out with your best girlfriends. If the article was just concerned with men appearing as “himbos” it wouldn’t be so bad, but the article itself is under the subject of GQ Intelligence as “Dummies”. What makes men so dumb for taking off their shirt?

The trailer for Magic Mike was finally released this week. I’m very excited to see it, as many of my friends, family & co-workers are too. Do any of you already have a set Girls Night Out to watch this movie?
We wish there was more of Joe Manganiello in the trailer, but we’re sure we’ll be seeing plenty of him when the movie comes out June 29th. (Seriously, with a character name like “Big Dick Richie”, we expect a lot of you Joe!)
The movie also stars Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer and Adam Rodriguez.

Entertainment Tonight aired a second sneak peek at the upcoming movie Magic Mike. We get a see a funny scene with Joe Manganiello! The full trailer comes out tomorrow.
