The Walmart sweatsuit worn by Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) is the most discussed piece of True Blood wardrobe in the history of the HBO hit show.
The top of the legendary outfit is now up for auction on eBay.
Link to eBay: http://r.ebay.com/56eYDT
Auction ends on August 30th, 2012.
Kristin Bauer will sign the sweatsuit top personalized for the auction winner.
Kristin Bauer van Straten sported the sweatsuit in the first episode of True Blood’s fifth season in the scene where she turns Tara (Rutina Wesley) into a vampire by spending a night side by side in a grave dug in Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) backyard.
“I am wearing a Walmart sweatsuit for y’all. If that’s not a demonstration of team spirit, I don’t know what is.”
The sweatsuit was created by True Blood’s costume designer Audrey Fisher.
The True Blood Costume Department donated the sweatsuit top to Kristin Bauer van Straten in support of her ongoing fundraiser to finance the documentary Out for Africa that Kristin and her husband Abri van Straten will shoot in Kenya this summer.
Kristin Bauer van Straten on the Out for Africa project:
“This year my husband, Abri van Straten and I are going to Kenya with a camera crew to see majestic Elephant families and Rhino in their natural habitat and to meet with the real heroes who work tirelessly for the African wildlife to shine a light on the crisis facing Elephants and Rhino due to rampant poaching for the ivory and horn trades to supply the growing Asian market.”
Through a successful Kickstarter Campaign Kristin Bauer has already raised $64,000, which should cover half the cost needed for this project.
Now, fundraising will continue on eBay. Upcoming items for auction are a Sookie modesty patch and bra signed by Anna Paquin and a one of a kind, Authority necklace from the True Blood Costume Department.

Alexander Skarsgård has been in Vancouver, Canada filming Hidden this past week, but there have been a couple of things to report.
The first look photo of Alex and Paula Patton appeared on the Italian website La Stampa for their movie Disconnect, which will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival on September 3rd. (It opens in US theatres on April 12, 2013). Thanks to LuvTheViking for the find, and to Ilaria who translated the article for AlexSkarsgard.net:
Excerpt from Alex: “In the movie I’m married to Paula Patton–he tells–both of us have the habit of chatting on the net, our marriage doesn’t work anymore. Suddenly somebody steals our identities and as we assume to know who might be responsible, we decided to go on the chase together. The journey we have to face to find the virtual thief , played by Michael Nyqvist who’s a friend of mine who lives in Stockholm, just two blocks from my house, starts a new sparkle between us and we get together again eventually. For Skarsgård it was a thrilling experience: “It’s a movie with complex tales, a little like Short cuts by Robert Altman, I was really into it, and I was really comfortable working with the director. All the plot is about how people cope with the digital era we’re living in.”
As you are aware, Alex is the new face for the Calvin Klein men’s fragrance Encounter. The fragrance is supposed to hit the stores in September, but we were lucky to find his ad (and a chance to smell the fragrance) in two magazines: the September issues Details (pages 155 & 156) and Maxim (pages 49 & 50). The ad has a website for the fragrance listed, but so far the link is not available. [Double-click on the thumbnails to enlarge]

Eric tells Sookie he's "sorry" for killing her fairy godmother in episode 403. (credit: HBO)
Our friends at Skarsgardnews are auctioning off one of the True Blood scripts for charity. But it’s not just any script, it’s the script from Season 4, episode 3 ‘If You Love Me Why Am I Dyin.’” And, it is signed by Eric Northman himself, Alexander Skarsgård! It also has the notes that Alex took while reading/rehearsing. The episode was penned by Alan Ball and in my opinion, the funniest of the season.
The auction/charity is Bajen Aid, which is to support Alexander’s favorite fotball team, Hammarby.
If you want to bid, click on the eBay button.
