Robert Patrick, probably best known for “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” has been cast as Alcide’s father, Jackson Herveaux.
According to The Hollywood Reporter: Patrick will first appear in a flashback episode that depicts Alcide and Debbie Pelt as teenagers in the 1980s. At the time, Jackson was said to be a ‘powerful, inspiring and heroic’ guy, but in the present, he’s given up on life.
Jackson, as a way to repay his father’s debut to Eric, also stands as the reason that Alcide first agreed to help Sookie search for Bill during Season 3. He’s scheduled to make his debut in Episode 9, slated to air Aug. 5 and titled “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”

Alexander Skarsgård will be starring in a new movie! Variety broke the news earlier today (see below), but AlexSkarsgard.Net was able to confirm with his management that he will be doing the movie.
“True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgard is set to topline Warner Bros.’ “Hidden,” which twin brothers Matt and Ross Duffer will direct from their own spec script.
Project is an elevated horror-thriller about a family hiding in a bomb shelter after escaping a mysterious outbreak.
Roy Lee, Mason Novick, Lawrence Grey and Richard Zanuck will produce, while John Middleton and Sebastian Aloi will exec produce. Jon Berg will oversee the project for Warners.
WB acquired the Duffers’ spec late last year in a competitive situation. Deal contained progress-to-production language, indicating that studio was anxious to start filming, rather than allow the project to languish in development.
Skarsgard, who recently appeared in Lars von Trier’s “Melancholia” and Rod Lurie’s remake of “Straw Dogs,” next stars in Peter Berg’s Universal tentpole “Battleship.” Thesp recently wrapped a pair of indies — Zal Batmanglij’s thriller “The East” and Henry-Alex Rubin’s “Disconnect.”
Skarsgard is repped by CAA, Principal Entertainment and attorney Gretchen Rush.

From Deadline: Camilla Luddington, who portrayed Kate Middleton in the Lifetime movie, “William and Kate,” has landed a recurring role on the upcoming season of HBO’s vampire drama True Blood, which will have a special focus on fairies. Luddington will play Claudette, one of Claude’s (Giles Matthey) many sisters, who gives Sookie insight into what it means to be a faerie.
The actress, repped by Progressive Artists, Main Title and attorney Scott Whitehead, most recently did a nine-episode on Showtime’s Californication, which wraps up a week from Sunday.
