RYAN KWANTEN
Ryan is best know for his role as Jason Stackhouse, a “not too bright”, “can’t keep his clothes on” character on HBO’s True Blood.
Born in Sydney, Australia on Nov. 28’th, 1976, he began his acting career purely by chance at the age of 15 yrs. While on his way to swimming practice with his mum and brother he was picked up by an acting agency. His first acting job was a minor guest role in “Home and Away” as a young surfer.
Ryan went on to graduate from Sydney University with a degree in business. It was during his days at university that he decided on a career in acting.
In 1997, Ryan once again joined the cast of “Home and Away”, this time as a regular, playing the lifeguard, Vinnie Patterson. Due to his role one the show he attained celebrity status and became known through out Australia as a sex symbol.
Ryan is an accomplished athlete, who qualified for the World Biathlon in Sweden in 2005 and in Italy in 2007, after winning the LA Biathlon two years in a row. He’s a qualified yoga instructor and enjoys bike riding, surfing and completing triathlons.
